you are forgiven... but only this time
Anyway, here's a link for official gingerbread beta 1 with usb access in pink mode (that means no need to root it to install Clockwork mod, just remove sdcard, enter pink mode, and copy the recovery.img to the image folder).
https://www.dropbox.com/sh/r8dyrvojy4is1iu/f1elHmpIDH/Stock 2.3.5 BETA 1 - Unlocked Bootloader.zip
I recommend that over any other stock gingerbread (if you gonna install aurora or any other custom rom based in .35 kernel)

Did you copy the bootloader on your current ROM, without following the guide you posted yourself ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=22682229#post22682229 )?

porting procesure
Dear member
I want to port TizenOS to Nexus 5 but I don't find how to build kernel, platform image and flash image to the device.

So I've seen many posts about porting android from other devices to this mobile , and 2 of them use SD-card boot using haret and some other files.
My question is , how do they create their own boot from SD ROM? I know this is the wrong section but I'm desperate , I'm trying to keep my winmo and have ICS at the same time , any help appreciated.

I'm Sorry, I don't know how to create or doing that.
I'm busy to make changes in NAND ROM bugs, WinMo has became useless and out dated from Microsoft totally.
please make sure that you post in general Q.

thanks for the reply ,
so I found the system.ext2 from the CM7.2 and replaced the files inside with the files from your ROM 9.1 , (I copied the files from the folder system).
My question is , does any initrd.gz and any zKernel work? Or everyone is different? (this is basic android and not basic SD , so please help!)
thanks
zImage is the kernel, so you can't do cm7 kernel with cm9 kernel.

so is there anyway to convert your CM9's Kernel to a zImage? Or where can I find it?Because I'm trying to keep my WinMo and make my own Boot From SD CM9.
thanks
EDIT: How about extracting the zImage from your boot.img and then using it ....I believe it should work , or I must use some more editing?
Answering in your new thread....
Can someone please get me the boot.img from their v510? It has to be 4.4.2 through 4.4.4. Let me know if you need help with how to do that.

For the stock kernel/ramdisk 4.4.2, (boot.emmc.win) look in my kernel thread in my signature below.
For the 4.4.4 , lock for the complete upgrade image in development.
Might I ask what you are going to do? Any development for the gpe is good news. Maybe with more specific requests, we can better get you sorted out.

Thanks but I tried to get a boot.img from the boot.emmc.win but it doesn't extract like typical .win files when I rename them and try to extract them. I tried with 7-zip which didnt work and also with tar -xvf on my Linux box which didnt work. I was hoping for a boot.img.
Im actually going to try to port the GPE ROM to the v500

You will need the image tools in my repo for that. Look in my Sig below for the "roll your own kernel" thread. About halfway down I have put together all the tools you will need in order to create your own boot image. Good luck! Let me know how it goes for you!

I could go through all those steps OR you could do a dd if=/dev/block/platform/msm_sdcc.1/by-name/boot of=/sdcard/boot.img and upload it somewhere for me
I could even donate to you for your efforts :good:

Actually i had seen that thread but the title I refers to a method to rewrite system partitions to GPE and I didn't think that there would be talks of porting a ROM in there. I found the thread.
Are we going to continue to bicker about this some more or can you help me? If not, no biggie... I just wanted to ask
Edit.... Never mind on this request. I found the GPE ROM alpha thread and looks like it isn't going to happen after all. I'll stick to what I know best and continue to port Miui tablet edition. Thanks guys!

I cannot find the thread that used to teach you how to update the One Plus 8 pro if you're rooted with Magisk. I could come, and click the guides or whatever and it was a sticky thread. Now I get some idiot boxes, search doesn't find it, and this is totally stupid. This site really sucks now. Can someone link me please? And is there a better place to go for android stuff that's organized the way XDA used to be?
Specificity required?
I am using Magisk. I want to update with OTA. You have to do some crap and then install to active and inactive or something and reboot. Can someone point me to the thread since I cannot search for it, it is not stickied and the entire site is about as "improved" as my credit card was "improved" by going from the old magnetic strips to this stupid RFID, which is more insecure, takes 10 times as long, and is somehow not a bug but a feature?
Searching the internet finds me nothing but some crappy posts that don't look like the one I saw on XDA telling me to do crap that doesn't make sense. Anyone know where the old thread is?

My threads on the first list.
Quite simple to find.
(ROOT) Android 11 / Latest stock and patched img's / payload dumper / magisk_patched guides
Hi all, Have seen a lot of requests for patched boot images on these threads so thought i'd share a guide on how to get it yourself as well as all the files required, plus the patched boot.img if you just want to go ahead and boot/flash it...
