My Nexus One will not update to Ginger bread , Why ?

OK I have stock Nexus one with FRG83D, I downloaded Gingerbread from here at XDA, I tried to install it but it failed, I found a link on how some people were having issues and it took me to a link where I had to back track to FRG33 then FRG83 the to FRG83D where I am at now, did all that everything worked great but now I still get the same error when trying to install Gingerbread, any suggestions ?

You need to be on FRG83G. Apply this update then try GB again.

Do you have the last version of HBOOT (hboot-0.35.0017)?
If not, download it from:
http://android.clients.google.com/packages/ota/passion/d6096cac5e9f.signed-hboot-0.35.0017.zip
install it as a rom (remember to rename it to "update.zip") and then install 2.3.3.

i am new to android i am using galaxy 3 GT-i5800 with stock rom on it.having following details.
1) Firmware Version----2.1 update1
2) Baseband Version---I5800xxjg3
3) Kernel Version------2.6.29 [email protected] #2
4) Build Number-------Eclair.xxjg7
i cant move my apps to sd card thats i also have low space on memory card i read on the forums that i have to root my phone and then to upgrade my rom to fryo but i m very confused as there are many method and more i read i got more confused that which is the safer one. i also want to backup my stock rom before doing anything as if something went wrong i cud b able to restore back to my stock rom..

How to Install?
Unzip the downloaded file.
Open ODIN,
Cooper.ops http://www.multiupload.com/N1TQ49HORW
MODEM_S5830XWKP6_CL260130_CODEROM.tar in Phone and
CODE_S5830XXKPH_CL260130_CODEROM2X.tar in PDA
Leave APBOOT AND CSC blank.
Enter into download mode and flash.

framework is just a 7mb part of the Android OS.
That's why, it all depends in what you need. Do you need the Gtalk video call? Then go 2.3.4 since that's the only difference of KPH to KPN (you don't need the Gtalk video call actually since we don't have a front facing camera in the ace). If you prefer the bug fixes of KPN, then go KPN.

Sorry if this seems obvious, but I just wanted to confirm from someone experienced before proceeding. Hope this will help more noobs like me.
If I am at 2.3.4 (KPH or any custom rom based on kph) and I want to use this rom over 2.3.3 (KPN), I need to flash KPN first and I can then flash coderomv2-2 and live happily after. And vice-versa. Right or Wrong?

How to install 2.3 firmware on 8800 pro?

hello,
I bought this phone today and it was advertised to come with 2.3 gingerbread, tho it came with froyo 2.2. I downloaded 2.3 firmware from offical huawei website(its official firmware - kernel-2.6.35-U8800pro-Gingerbread.tar cant post link because it my 1st post)
I didnt find any instructions on how to install it on my phone, if someone could tell me how or give me a link to instructions it would be much appreciated.

It should be.zip, not tar. You downloaded a kernel, not rom.

I managed to do it probably the easiest thing to do is to download this archive at megaupload.com/?d=55XORRPE and just follow the instructions in .pdf its very simple

I'm a n00b, too And I haven't understood where is the UPDATE-g.APP that I see in the guideline. And I haven't understood if the point 2.1.4 of the guideline is necessary for europe area.

I was reading TUTORIAL for flashing Custum ROM and i'm facing my firs problem.
I did ROOT my A500 and i wanted to install CWM and it said:

Open Market app with your tablet and search for Acer Recovery Installer.
I found it on Laptop google play but it says that:

This app is incompatible with all of your devices.
Please if somebody can help me how to proceed.
I was also reading THIS but i really don't understand that installation instructions if somebody can clarify it for me

the acer recovery installer developer is a AWESOME GUY.WITH MUCH SUPPORT ABOVE AND Beyond.

OK, i did it.... CWM installed.
Now i have to read about the ROM's to see which is the best.
Which ICS ROM you suggest ?
I already did this with my HD2 but it is a little bit different....
