Had anyone succesfully claimed these? I have an upgrade SGN from Orange UK but the handset did not come with the free flip case as advertised on the Orange website. I've phoned the customer support but the agent that I have spoken to said it does not come with the case. Also, the Samsung voucher for music, movie, and intermet security is nowhere to be found on the Samsung Hub - there's only that Take That crap shown on the exclusives... The free games however are shown on Samsung Apps.

thats interesting as it doesnt seem to be orange specific???? im vodafone so i should get it as well.... cool l dig and find out
JR
these freebees are also mentioned on the Phones4U website, I wonder if there's anyone here who got their SGN from them, and if they come with the flipcase, and if they're able to claim the samsung vouchers.....

SAMSUNG GALAXY NOTE
FILM & MUSIC PACKAGE PROMOTION TERMS AND CONDITIONS
This promotion is offered by Samsung Electronics (UK) Ltd of 1000 Hillswood Drive, Chertsey, Surrey, KT16 0PS ("Promoter" or "Samsung") and is subject to these terms and conditions.
Employees or agents of the Promoter or any of its group companies or their families or households or anyone professionally connected to this promotion are not eligible to enter.
This promotion is valid from 16 November 2011 to 31 December 2011 ("Promotion Period").
This promotion is only open to UK residents who are aged 18 or over who purchase a new Samsung Galaxy Note handset in-store at participating UK retailers only during the Promotion Period (a "Promotion Handset") and who meet and comply with these terms and conditions ("Qualifying Person" or "you").
A Qualifying Person is eligible to redeem vouchers worth up to a total value of £120, comprising: £65 voucher to redeem at Samsung Movies (http://movies.uk.samsungmobile.com/) and £50 voucher to redeem at 7digital (samsung.m.7digital.com) and to download an AVG pro security application worth £6 for free (together the "Galaxy Note Package")
To redeem the Galaxy Note Package, you must access the Samsung Hub (embedded in your Samsung Galaxy Note handset). If Samsung Hub is not available on your device, you may download it from Android Market at: http://tinyurl.com/d4psask.
Within the Samsung Hub you should click on 'Exclusives' and then request and submit your IMEI number (you will be prompted to do this).
Once your IMEI number has been verified you need to click on the 'Voucher' button to download your voucher code for use at Samsung Movies and 7Digital.
Once you have downloaded your voucher code you should then follow the steps below to redeem your voucher at Samsung Movies and 7digital:
a) MOVIE ENTITLEMENT:
Download the Samsung Movies application from Samsung Hub;
Register for Samsung Movies;
Choose rental movies up to the value of £65;
Input voucher code into the Samsung Movies application.
b) MUSIC ENTITLEMENT:
Go to the 7digital store link within Samsung Hub;
Register for 7digital music service;
Choose tracks up to the value of £50;
Enter voucher code to download.
To download the AVG pro security application you should access the Samsung Hub, click on 'Exclusives' and click on the AVG icon to download the application.
The Galaxy Note Package comprises vouchers provided by Samsung and third parties. Your download of the relevant application and use of the vouchers in the Galaxy Note Package is subject to the terms and conditions of the relevant voucher provider. These terms and conditions can be found at the following websites: http://movies.uk.samsungmobile.com and samsung.m.7digital.com.
You can only redeem the vouchers against subsequent purchases from Samsung Movies and 7digital.
You must redeem your vouchers and download your AVG pro security application by midnight on 31 January 2012 otherwise they will automatically expire. Please note that any remaining credit on vouchers which have been redeemed in part will be automatically lost if not used by 31 January 2012.
The Promoter will not replace or offer any substitutes or alternatives for any lost, stolen or damaged vouchers or voucher codes. Samsung shall not be responsible for any non-receipt of voucher codes, your inability to access the Internet, or for any website failure.
Each Qualifying Person is only entitled to redeem one Galaxy Note Package per purchase of a Promotion Handset.
Each Galaxy Note Package is non-transferable and there is no cash alternative to the Galaxy Note Package (or any part of it). You are not allowed to sell or transfer your Galaxy Note Package to any third party.
Samsung reserves the right to substitute all or any part of the Galaxy Note Package with vouchers of an equal value in the event that third party vouchers become unavailable for whatever reason.
Samsung will not be liable for any disruption to this promotion, whether due to technical problems, any difficulties arising from the third party voucher providers or otherwise, which is beyond Samsung's reasonable control.
By redeeming a Galaxy Note Package you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions. If you breach any of these terms and conditions you will not be entitled to receive or to use the Galaxy Note Package. Nothing in these terms and conditions affects your statutory rights.
This promotion cannot be used in conjunction with any other Samsung promotion.
Samsung reserves the right to withdraw or alter this promotion without prior notice.
By participating in this promotion, you agree to release the Promoter from any liability whatsoever for any claims, costs, injuries, losses, or damages of any kind arising out of or in connection with the promotion or with the redemption, possession, or use of the Galaxy Note Package (except death or personal injury caused by the Promoter's negligence, for fraud, or otherwise as prohibited by law).
The promotion is governed by English law.
I downloaded samsung hub but its not working for me..... can u confirm?
JR
Samsung Hub is more of a hit-miss for me. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Try switching to your mobile data, if you have data plan, usually works for me but often very slow.

I also have the same problem - upgraded to the Note via Orange in the UK but no sign of the free case & only the Take That app available in the hub :-(
I contacted Samsung customer services a few days before Christmas and they asked for my IMEI number & email address to pass on to the back office team which is dealing with this problem - sounds like lots of people have had the same issue with vouchers not showing up in the hub. I was asked to call back if I hadn't heard anything in a couple of weeks as customer services would then have a stock of the vouchers themselves......I'll give them until Friday of this week and if I still haven't heard anything then call again.
Customer services also confirmed the vouchers would be valid until 31/1/12 so no worries on that front.

You requested them but never received them? I guess there might be hope then, if you give support a ring again. Sounds like it might be possible given what they said to kitten1711.
Yes I sent request every single day, there's only one item on "exclusives" - Take That! Thanks, I'll email them today.
Sent from my GT-N7000 using xda premium
Well this is weird, I just opened Samsung Hub to see what this Take That thing was (wife might like it), and I still have the movies/music vouchers there. Maybe the "exclusives" is a one-time thing?
Has non UK residents tried to claim the voucher codes successfully? I have an unlocked UK Note so naturally I have the ability to attempt claiming the voucher, though I wonder if I will have to use a UK cell number (google voice), or it really doesn't matter.
I called them again today (couldn't wait until Friday!!) and was told that the person who has been handling this is back in work today for the first time since before Christmas - I'm sure they'll have a backlog to deal with but the customer service person said they'd chase it up.
They also mentioned that sometimes vouchers requested are not emailed/sent directly to the customer, but forwarded on to customer services so if you've put in a request already it may be worth giving them a call.
Interestingly, they also cross checked when I'd called in originally, so there may well be something in what Barkotron posted about needing to put in the claim before 31st Dec (although they can be used up until 31st Jan).

yet another promo offer i can't take advantage of.
Getting jibbed on the dropbox offer too for no reason, and dropbox won't respond back
It's only good for those that bought the phone between today (January 4th, 2015) and January 17th, 2015, I believe there is cap to the number of people as well, so first come first serve. I bought my device on December 31st, so no go for me. Netflix is not really my thing since it would still cost extra to rent the newest movies via Postal Mail (bummer).

I got the 50GB for 2 years from Dropbox. There are freebies Samsung included as well as part of their Exclusive Extras. Login to the Samsung App store.
I'm also glad I didn't get involved with the $200 trade-in rebate as many are expressing frustration in the process.

I'll look into the samsung app store for other items... any suggestions regarding drop box?
If you purchased the T-Mobile Note 4, you should be able to get 50GB for Two Years Free As Long As You Create a New Dropbox Account within your device.
If you purchased the AT&T Note 4, you only get 50GB for 6 months which I feel is an awful waste of space, lol.

Thank you for this info. Just got mine! Had this a few years back with my S3 and forgot about it. Nice to have it again.
Thank you so much ☺

Yeah, I tried to get in on this, but since I got my Note 4 on 11/08/14, I was not eligible.
I did get the 50gb of Dropbox (on a new email acct) and I think I get 12mo of Evernote (which I'll never use).
On my Galaxy S3 (my previous phone) I got 50gb of Dropbox (which is still full, I just can't add to it, which is nice to know all my kids pictures are safe there) and they offered a free HD copy of The Avengers movie back then too (on the S3) thru MediaHub I think it was.
Somewhere there was a thread of the available freebies with the Purchase of the Note 4 - not sure if they were all T-mobile exclusives or not, that's where I saw the Evernote offer (again, I don't see myself ever actually using it, but it was free so why not).
GooglePlay and Amazon app store actually offer some cool freebies from time to time, I occasionally get the emails from the Play store for the freebies, the Amazon app store offer's I usually end up seeing on flipboard browsing android news and app news. I'd love it if someone had a thread here or somewhere listing the freebies on a regular basis we could subscribe to. :good: (if that exists and I've missed it, please let me know!)

I don't think so. Because the seller whoever it is you purchased from, did he give you a receipt/proof of original purchase ? If so, check the date on the receipt. It must be purchased after Jan 4th.
I just bought a note 4 but wont get it till next week.

My buddy gave me his receipt from his note 4 to use since the money he used was from his old S5 I bought off him. Got my 1 year of netflix yesterday which in my case was a $95.88 credit. However, where is the milk?

So my wife and I both received email approval for the Gear VR now. No more "pending fulfillment".
Ship dates..... Wife's APRIL 18TH!! MINE MAY 8TH!!
I guess 4 to 6 weeks is out the window, even if you pre-ordered your phones the first couple days like we did. Bummer. But hey... At least they're Comin'!
I guess they are going to say it's 4 to 6 weeks from approval date lol.

Mine also says April 1st, but I picked the Gear S2.
I haven't gotten an email yet, but I checked my submission status, and it says approved, preparing for shipment. I went with the watch. Not keeping it, figured around $300 extra would be nice I used my trade-in money for the VR.
Yeah April 18
Yeah I got my email last night saying mine would ship on April 18th... but then to claim my 6 free games I need to set up my Oculus account my midnight on April 20th. So how is that even possible?? Can I set up the Oculus account early without the VR unit so that I can claim my free stuff?
Just got an email stating I am ineligible for the Gear S2 because my receipt denotes an in-store or online purchase. Anyone else get this?

I did notice at the bottom of the disclaimer about signing up for the game pack it says something. Here is a copy:
"Please make sure to create an Oculus account and download your
6 games before 11:59:59pm PT on 4/20/16 when the download expires,
or within 30 days of receiving your Eligible Product, whichever is later."
So at the end you see it says, at least in my email copy, on "4/20/16 when the download expires, or within 30 days of receiving your eligible product, whichever is later." Which I would take to assume that we're covered if we receive the Gear VR after the 20th, as long as we activate the free games within 30 days of receiving it.

No idea how I missed that. I feel dumb. Yeah mine says the same thing.
Well, this almost sent me over the edge. Trying to call the fulfillment company now to see if this can be straightened out. I ordered it online at full price from a consumer account, not a business one. Weird.
"Congratulations! Your submission has been approved; however because the
purchase receipt you uploaded denotes an in-store and/or online business
purchase, you are only eligible to receive the Samsung Gear VR with 6-game
bundle. We will ship your Samsung Gear VR to the mailing address you
provided when registering for this Offer. Your estimated shipping date is
April 1, 2016."
If you received the email about being ineligible for the Gear s2, you should still be good. Just got off the phone with customer support (50 minute wait) and they said a mass e-mail erroneously went out stating users were getting the opposite of what they selected. He verified my order was for the Gear S2. I would call just to be safe, but you should be good. He said I was his 35th case for the same issue.

I'll have to call customer support in the morning. Their open hours didn't mesh well with Hawaiian time.
You have to call prize logic at (888) 795-6442. They manage the promotion.
FYI, when I called, they guessed what it was about. The emails about getting a VR instead of S2 were errors. I was told that my S2 was being prepped for shipment April 1st.
I checked the status of mine at the link in Samsung's email and put in my email address. I submitted my first claim for my first new line on the 16th. I'm approved but don't have a ship date. I submitted my second claim for my second line very early this morning and that's approved also, and no ship date. My second claim was for the $100 towards Samsung products on their website they are offering at this point because they aren't going to be able to ship the VRs until the summer of this year for people registering late. I think it's crappy of them to offer $100 instead of $150 which was the value of the bundle, but I could use a wireless charger and/or a quick charge battery pack.

Yes; I got a similar email stating I was ineligible for the Gear S2 because my recipt was for a Store purchased S7.
I immediately responded back vi the web page & told them that was incorrect & that the receipt was printed from Verizon on-line for an on-line purchase.
Another response was received stating that they had escalated my complaint. I am now waiting for more response from them.
I'm thinking that this has happened to a lot of people & hope they take care of it quickly.

A few weeks ago I spoke to a Verizon rep and he said that I would be paying off the Note 7 until I decided to replace it in the exchange.
HOWEVER
Just a few days ago as I was looking at my Verizon bill that my Note 7 payments had disappeared. Surprised by this, I asked a rep in the chat about it -- they told me that my Note 7 was completely paid for (I didn't pay it, in fact, I put the minimum down and was making payments since). Has anyone else noticed this on their accounts? It's a nice surprise.
When I turned mine in, I found out that they never charged me for my replacement note.

That's interesting. I assume that's when mine occurred as well. Kind of funny because it just serves as an incentive for me to keep it!

I know, if I would've known that they didn't charge me I would have kept it.

Verizon said refund I did not ask for is on the way
Just got this from Verizon:
You should receive your check soon. View online
Your Samsung Galaxy Note7 refund has been processed.
We processed your refund due to the recent recall of your purchased Samsung Note7. You will receive a check in 2-3 weeks for the amount of $864.00, which includes the purchase price of the device, any purchased Note7 accessories, and any fees paid during your upgrade or exchange.
If you have not already upgraded your Note7, you qualify for special incentives when you upgrade to a new device. The easiest way to upgrade is online:
• Customers upgrading to another Samsung device will receive a $100 bill credit. Customers upgrading to any other device will receive a $25 bill credit. Credits will be applied to your bill in 1-2 bill cycles.
• Upgrade fees will be waived at checkout.
• Plus, all orders receive free 2-day shipping.
• For detailed instructions and FAQs, please visit: go.vzw.com/note7faq.
After your order is processed, you will receive a special recovery box to return your Note7. Please send us your Note7 at your earliest convenience.
I have had no communication with them and intend to keep my phone until next Note comes out. I guess if they send me a check and I don't cash it and don't use their return box, I'd be okay for a while. This is pretty aggressive I'd say.

Wow, this is interesting. Have you done anything that would make Verizon think that you're no longer using your Note 7? Also was this in an email or text? I've been getting intermittent texts about returning the phone, but they all say the same thing about the voluntary recall.
Just checked my verizon account, my line no longer shows a phone payment charge, just the line access charge. Interesting. Any way to take advantage of this situation? lol

I have kept a very low profile and done nothing to make them think I am returning it or not using it. I get the periodic stock text, but nothing like this. If I were to accept the refund, I would think they might be able to blacklist my IMEI, and it would seem logical if I receive payment I would not longer own the phone. I guess we'll have to wait and see.

Thanks. I will. My current plan is to ignore the refund if they send it, as well as any return box they might send. I'll be horse that gets led to water, but I won't drink!
I got a note 7 right when the new batch released which I think was around September 21st and I've had mine since. As soon as the second recall was announced around Oct 10th Verizon wiped it clean from my account even though I still had it. It also showed my upgrade available so I got a Pixel XL which I then exchanged for the V20 and I still have the Note 7 as I type this. I even spoke with Verizon on the phone and the girl said my account shows no record of me having a Note 7, so I'm keeping it. I just use it as a wi-fi device now. If Verizon had any intentions of charging for the device they would have waited until it was returned before issuing any refunds or erasing from people's account.
i think you folks who bought them from Verizon are getting these freebies. i bought mine from a small affiliate store and am not seeing refunds.

Yeah I got my replacement the first day they were available -- this must when the payments were cancelled. Has anyone on Verizon with a note 7 not had their payments taken care of?
When the 2nd recall was announced verizon refunded me all the payments i had made and they gave me my upgrade back, i upgraded to the V20 and still have my note 7. Samsung sent me a box to send it back but i never did that was a month ago
i still have the og note 7. got it right before the recall hit in september. . as far as i can tell its free for me as well. i made one payment and was even refunded for that!! LoL
I was waiting until the S8 came out to trade in my Note7. So, I went to an AT&T store today to preorder. They told me the deadline (Dec. 31, 2016) for exchanging the Note7 had passed, and that I wouldn't get any credit toward the S8. They did let me restart my Next plan, but I'm back at month 0 and the money I paid in for the Note7 is gone.
Is this correct? I don't see anything on the AT&T website about a deadline. Was there a notification about it as part of the software updates (which I had blocked)?
And would this mean, for someone who had bought the phone outright rather than on the Next plan, that AT&T would give them nothing when they brought the Note7 back? There is certainly no incentive to return it in that situation, assuming they want the remaining devices back.
Actually, it gets somewhat worse. The store ordered the wrong phone for me (S8 instead of S8 Plus) and there is a charge on my bill for $613.77 that shouldn't be there. I called the store and they said to call customer service. I called customer service and they said to go back to the store.
Hey bro, I just returned my note 7 (and the case) last Thursday for a FULL REFUND. They dropped $294.64 in my account. My at&t next was void and then I could start a new one.
You made the mistake by asking what your phone was worth. You must say I want a full refund for my note 7 and all the accessories. I kept hearing this December 31st date but it's nothing official. What they mean to say is after the last update (around December 31st) you will not be able to charge your phone. But we blocked those updates.
I then went to best buy mobile where they have the best offer for the s8 plus. You get $100 off... Yes $100 off PLUS all the Samsung promotions (gear vr and controller)
Hope you can go back and speak to the manager.
Keep me posted...

That's interesting. Thanks for the info.
The manager at the store said there was a December 31 deadline. I sat there and looked through the AT&T website, and told him there was no deadline listed there. He said, "Well, it says that in our info."
I also went through the online chat when I got home. They said I couldn't get any credit for the installments already paid.
After going back to the store today, I did at least get them to remove the $613.77 charge they had put on my account (which they acknowledged was an error, charging me to pay off the Next plan on the Note7).
It's great you got them to give you a refund. Maybe I'll take another crack at calling customer service after I actually give them the phone back.

Dude, I would be threatening them with a call to the Consumer Protection Agency.
I didn't receive anything that says I had to turn my Note in by Dec 31, have them show you where they sent that message to you.
AT&T Store Return
I was a victim of Samsung's mandatory update last week, while still waiting to (hopefully) exchange it for a S8+. I had originally bought mine full price at Best Buy, then activated it at an AT&T store, exchanged for the 'safe' version etc.
The update disabled the USB-C port and charging, so I was forced to take it in. With a promotion on the S7 Edge I also received a Gear S2 watch, a Galaxy TabE, (both 99 cents without requiring a new contract; just 10$/Month device fee) And was able to use 99$ out of my 200$ + credit on a Gear VR.
I was sad to finally let go of my Note7 after so much resistance, but suffice it to say I walked out pleasantly surprised at the extras I received.

I was told that myself at an AT&T store when I inquired about it in mid-December, even knowing both AT&T & Samsung's website said differently. However I know a lot of those guys are working on hearsay or don't bother to look it up, so I'm the type to just drive to the next AT&T store and try again. There never was and still isn't an end date to the recall according to the ATT website, which is exactly what they refer to. Even regardless of the N7's condition.
EDIT: Can't post URL's yet but it's ATT website article KM1122948

I looked at that article, never saw anything about a Turn in date deadline
I remember seeing a sign at my ATT store which is an authorized dealer that said to get refund you had to turn in by DEC 31. So maybe it deals with third party stores that are not corporate stores? I have heard people say DEC 31 was the deadline but never found nothing official on that. Still no matter what they should take the phone and give a refund as its an official recall and they can't make you eat the money lost. Maybe you need to go through Samsung now to get a refund? Who knows as companies loves to do the run around game

They should have provided a Loaner until the replacement was available, like they originally said they would and like they did in some markets.
The only replacement for a Note is a New Note...
Well I am hoping when the new note 8 comes out Sammy doesn't forget about us note 7 owners and how we was done wrong. But I'm sure they will. Heck I would take a fixed note 7 but they are not to be sent to the US market from what I read.

I'm picking up my S8+ on Friday, at which point I'll drop off my Note7 at the AT&T store.
My plan is to wait a few days then contact AT&T, saying "Now that you have my phone back, when do I get a refund for the money I paid in installments and sales tax?" My hope is that this gets automatically refunded once they physically get the phone, despite what the store manager said about a December 31 deadline.

Why don't you just hand them the Note 7, get refund, buy S8+, or it should be swap?
That's essentially what I'm doing. But the manager said no refund after December 31. Actually, they initially charged me $600 in remaining payments, but I got that reversed (they admitted the charge was an error).

Note 7
Can anyone who has had success exchanging their phone tell me their store location? Seems random but I am at the point with att I want to leave. I am trying to return my note 7 and the stores keep telling me no. The call center is telling me they have to but every location I go to its the same crap. Both corporate and other have the same stuff about dec31st..... doesn't make any sense to me but maybe if I can prove locations are in fact honoring the exchange I might have some luck.
At this point it seems like more a choice than corporate policy and all the hoops I've jumped through just this week I am at my breaking point.
I returned my note 7 for a full refund two weeks ago at the highway 151 store in San Antonio. They also gave me a refund for my case that I purchasedI'm picking up my s8 plus on Friday. Got a $100 off coupon for purchasing the phone at best buy mobile.
They refunded all my money on my debit card. They told me I couldn't get cash because they didn't have enough money in the store to give cash. They told me they could put it on any debit card of my choice.

S8 refund
I was also given the same story about no refund being issued after Dec 31 but I refuse to take that as an answer. I called customer service at least 6 times and was placed on hold many of times, everyone kept telling me the same story and I just kept asking to speak to a manager and kept climbing up the chain. I mentioned taking legal action and they said a manager would call me back within 72 hours and he never did. I called the 7th time and the operator issued me the refund on everything i had paid except the tax (she said i had to try to claim that at the store where the phone was purchased. Will return once I get my phone today in the mail.
Good luck and don't let them take your money!!!
I took my Note7 back to the AT&T store today, having received my S8+ yesterday. After an hour there (most of it while they were on the phone with customer service), they said they couldn't take it back at the store, but they printed out a shipping label for me to return it.
At this point, I'm debating whether to mail it to AT&T and try to get my past payments refunded, or just keep the thing--maybe use it as a music player or something.
