[Q] FW for Omnia7 16G - Omnia 7 General

I'm trying to help a friend with his semi-bricked Omnia7 16G.
Are the official firmwares posted good for both models?
Common sense tells me they should be but I need to double check before starting working on this...

yes, storage memory doesn't matter

I have 16gb version and reflashed it a couple of times with no problems don't worry

Does your phone still boot?
Are you able to get into donwload mode (volume-down + home + power on)?
If you at least can get into download mode, everything should be fine, if even THAT doesn't work anymore you'd have to send it in to Samsung for repair.

When I updated to KG1 2.3.4 I've also used the pit file and checked repartition. Until now the SGSII is running great. Don't know however if that will cause some problems to future updates.
Maybe some flashing guru here can clarify us?

No you get a problem at boot or none .
jje
It can cause problem, and you don't need to in order to flash.
So why take the risk?

Well if you're new to it, and some places say "do it"....
Fortunately my only source of information when I started with my SGS2 (first Android device ever for me, so total newb!) was xda-dev, had no need to look somewhere else as all the answers were here already
So I read the "never ever under no circumstances use .pit and/or do repartition" often enough to have it burned into my mind, but I can see others getting confused and not really not sure about what to do when they read at other places "to install this FW, use the .pit file and tick the repart. option"....
Sorry about being too obtuse but what the hell are these .pit?
I just cant figure it out by myself!
Anyway, coming from a nexus one I am still a little lost about everything on samsung universe...
No problems at all

Partition Information Table
It's used to completely recreate the partitioning layout from scratch on the internal storage of the phone.
AFAIK unfortunately the bootloaders are stored on one of those partitions as well, so if something goes bad and the partitioning is messed up the phone can't find the bootloader and therefor not execute them -> R.I.P.

The phone thinks my 32gb G2 is 16 GB

Hi!
While trying to modify framwork-res.apk my phone got lost in a bootloop. So i restored it through Lg's software which i found in their website.
The phone booted normaly again, but asked for some sort of pin/passoword, and i could not do anything without it. So I held power+vol down to factory reset it. Now the phone booted normally as factory restored.
But now the it says that i the phones total capacity is 10.77 gb!
What should i do?
Thank you in advance!
It would seem like you now have two instances of the operating system present... Strange.
I would suggest that you reset it again, but god knows, maybe you lose another 10gb?!
your password code is the password code thats on your simcard
if you have 16gb model 10gb free space is about right.
I see no issues here

Sorry, I forgot to mention that i have the 32 gb version. And no, it is not the sim pin. I Tried 10 different password and none of them worked.

Did you use the wrong KDZ?
Some European models only have 16GB storage, are you sure you didn't flash one of those firmwares? It seems like a logical explanation.
It really goes for any phone; if the software is made only for a certain amount of storage, that's the amount it will recognize.

I don't think that is the issue, since the Lg software chose the right KDZ for my by the IMEI nr. There is also only one version to download for european unlocked phones, from what i can see.
Edit:
Now i have installed TWRP again, made a FULL wipe, and even TWRP tells me that the internal storage is 10742MB so i guess the problem isn't with the LG software?

I have the international model.
Model:LG D802
SoftwareVersion: D80210A-EUR-XX
Version:JDQ39B
Baseband:M8974A-AAAANAZM-1.0.190036
But isn't it very weird that the recovery is showing 10 gb aswell?
I have read this thread for Nexus 4. But cannot follow the guide since we donnot have any bootloader files for the G2

No I had 32 Gb, but after LGs return to stock method, i got 10,77. The restore went well, but when the phone restarted i asked for some kind of pin, and it was not the simcard pin. I could not do anytning without it, so i made a factory reset trough holding down power+ vol down. And after that i had 10.77 gb.
After that proccess i have tried to wipe data and storage with both CWM and TWRP. I have also restored the phone 3 times with lgs software.
You might have to reflash specific parts of the firmware through fastboot. I had this issue when my 16gb nexus 4 thought it was an 8gb model. These are the instructions I used to fix it.

I have read that thread. But from what i know there is no bootloader img files to flash for the g2 yet? Or am i wrong?
What if the the storage isn'nt mounted correctly, does anyone know if I somehow could remount it trough the terminal or adb shell?
I have the exact same issue.
I have the 32GB model (are there even an 16GB version?), and after a faulty flash I had to use the LG Mobile Support Tool to get back to the original FW etc.
Now I have only 10.77GB available.
And it does say that the model is the 32GB when I check the hardware-info on the android itself.
Maybe this has something to do with me using the adbcommand for mounting storage incorrectly?
I thought however it would be reset when I used the LG Mobile Support Tool to hardreset everything though.
Nobody with any ideas?

How can we tell that? You bought it...
Depends what model it is and where you are (which you haven't disclosed). D802, for instance, means you can flash any of the non-16G versions that are open. Using one from you region is advised.

None of the Spanish ROMs are open, they are all carrier versions.
Suggest you use no. 52 off the list (newer version) or no. 40 (original release). Both will work in Spain.
You MUST do a factory reset BEFORE flashing... use the phone reset therefore.

LG G2 Lost 32GB memory
We welcome ... I read these 2 pages of threads and tried versions posted in the hope that I will recover all my phone memory ... disappointing result, 10Gb available.
The history goes like this: I installed some software in it (eg, G2 and G2 Xposed TweaksBox Modules etc..) After uninstalling I reset and has not started, do not boot, stuck at LG logo, LED illuminated green - blue. I installed the new software (not specified taking up 16GB or 32GB) in download mode after restart I saw that no parent available all the memory (26GB) 10GB only. I installed and 32GB versions but nothing, same result.
I tried the above guide and I do not recognize all the commands ... I do not know what I do, do you have any idea?
Thank you very much !

Umm not sure if it can be done without, you could try and if no good you'd have to use one.
Get yourself an sd card. You can't access internal memory so you are screwed until you get one...
You need to also tell us what version of Android you are on as the can be a deciding factor in what you need to do... Some things that will fix one version of android won't help the next... If you don't know what this means you should do A LOT of reading before trying this stuff again, read about Kitkat and Jellybean...

You right, i should read about it alot more.
I rooted my Galaxy s Advanced already with a noob guide, so i fould it would be easy to do it again.
Guys, im verry frustrated now, im a real noob who fold he could do this easily, without thinking or reading anything i tried to flash my demo unit.
Now i have a huge problem because this phone is not mine.
Anyone who has a solution, the thing earlier pronounced in this topic didnt help.
Get yourself a stock rom and flash it using ODIN and stock recovery might do the trick but make SURE you flash the CORRECT ROM.
Correct rom depends on what you had running. If you where running kitkat you MUST flash kitkat again. If you had 4.3 you better stick to that until it's up and running again.

So Samsung actually goes through the effort of separately manufacturing them....weird Sammy.

In my country (India), they just keep the Snapdragon version (official is the Exynos) for DEMO pieces and just rely on the region lock to keep people out.
I tried so hard to buy one of them, but nobody agreed. Finally got mine from overseas.

You already mounted it, but you flashed wrong kdz file before.
You need apply 32GB fix. It can be found somewhere in XDA, just search it
