does anybody know how to optimize the performance of our gpu, the adreno 200 by qualcomm? some said this gpu is strong enough for mobile gaming. theres has to be some kind of tweak for it maybe?
just curios
The Wildfire most certainly does not have an Adreno 200 GPU. It is actually the Desire and the Wildfire S which does.
I am assuming you are getting this info from GSMArena. They have mixed up the GPU Specs of the Wildfire and the Wildfire S.
And how does our adreno thingy compare with other phones?
Enlighten yourself please.
Adreno
so what is our adreno chips capable to do?
i doubt it supports that kind of performance
it's a gpu right?
it's for video and games right?

Good answer Dee. ;-) Let me add to that

Yes. It's a GPU. specifically the X8 has the Adreno 200. Like its much more powerfull desktop counterparts, it assists or takes over the burden of rendering graphics output from the CPU.
Lets just say that it accelerates videos and games
THe Adreno 200 is an old GPU, the newest one is the Adreno 205, that is inside the Xperia Play.

Acctually newest chip is Areno 220 which is in HTC Sensation.
Mediatek MTK6589 or Snapdragon MSM8225Q
i was planning to buy a local phone with the snapdragon but i read that it overheats and has a high battery consumption..
Both are clocked at 1.2 GHz Quad cores
Qualcomm is the best!!!
Inviato dal mio GT-I9505 usando XDA Premium HD app
Qualcomm is better than mediatek
Sent from my Micromax A110 (Canvas 2) using xda premium
Qualcomm
Qualcomm chipset is superior to that MTK and I had never heard of an overheating problem on Qualcomm chipsets.

MSM8225Q = Cortex A5
Mediatek MTK6589 = Cortex A7
and i think PowerVR SGX 544 better than Adreno 203
Snapdragon has ways better GPS integrated!
Looks like the Mediatek chipset might be the better way to go.

Qualcomm might have heating issues
I have used MMX A110 , Lava Iris 501 & Now with Karbonn Titanium S5....Out of the three I would rate Lava Iris 501 as the best handset performance wise only disadvantage is 512 mb ram....Now about Qualcomm & mediatek....MMX 110 & Iris 501 both had Mediatek processor & Karbonn S5 is having Qualcomm processor....All android handsets does heat up while playing games but Karbonn does heat up more...Am having yellow spot on screen on my karbonn S5 & many say its due to heating problem...
Can enyone port Open GL 3.1 or 3.2 for adreno 306 ? To improve preformance of gpu bcs thats weak spot of J5 2015 and J5 2016 devices?
Drivers cannot be ported, those are micro-softwares which tell you CPU how to use the components of your device and are made especially for one type of component.

Than how adreno 4xx and 5xx can be ported from 3.1 to 3.2 (OpenGL) and support for vulkan i seeing thats post and peapole showing big preformance boost in benchmarks like antutu or geek bench . ???
Why Fortnite doesn't work on Mi A2/6X, Mi Pad 4 and other Snapdragon 660 devices and Fortnite work on Samsung Galaxy A9 2018 (it's a Snapdragon 660 phone) ?

I have hack the apk of the fortnite app and be able to download the game trust me , it's very slow and very buggy, you don't need it,,
Also servers kicks you out because of the lag,,,
Tried with the lowest setting possible :/
@Mashrmallow Fortnite doesn't support any SD660
Device. I tried modifying the apk and installing it on my Stock A2 but its lags like crazy not worth it

I think if Epic Games willbad the support for sdm6660 in Fortnite, the performance will be better because I already play on Samsung Galaxy A9 2018 (Another sdm660 device) and it's not buggy and it's payable

I wish they add more support for more devices,,,
Mi A2 has adreno 512 gpu but fortnite requires adreno 530 gpu. If this can be sorted and graphics be a bit reduced fortnite can be played easily.

Fortnite support Adreno 512 You because Samsung Galaxy A9 2018 (sdm660) run it officially, Fortnite just didn't add compatibility for other sdm660 device
I checked for the specs to run fortnite, it shows that adreno 530 or higher is required.

I know but in the official device compatibility list it show Samsung Galaxy A9 (2018) and it's a sdm660 phone (Adreno 512) like the Mi A2/6X

What about custom kernel and performance mods ?
edit: what if we change our devices fingerprint to a9 2018 ?

it works good and smooth on my mi a2. Use gltools for masking gpu
You probably don't even know the difference between CPU and GPU but it is normal, this is what I expect from the average fortnite player. Your phone, as well as all other phones, have both a CPU (the sdm660 for example) and a GPU (like the adreno 512, for example). Two phones can have the same CPU just like the A9 you are referring to and the A2 but have a different GPU. So probably the A9 doesn't have an Adreno512 GPU but a better one.

It's a CPU+GPU board (APUs?), two phones with the same CPU will always have the same GPU (at least for Snapdragon devices). The Galaxy A9 have the Adreno 512, it's just marketing.

For your information I know the difference between CPU and GPU and A9 have a Adreno 512 like the Mi A2 (It's the same CPU and GPU than a Mi A2 but only the A9 can run fortnite with a sdm660) and for a snapdragon processor case the GPU can't be different for the same processor (exemple: a Adreno 509 is impossible to be in a phone who use a sdm660, only a Adreno 512 is possible to be in a phone who use a sdm660)

yeah its because fortnite not allowing weak devices to play so that every phone user has the same advantage ( no lags and lack fps )
but it seems to make no sense since u said that the A9 can run it up but Mi A2 can't so yeah epic games is just so bad at maintaining the mobile version #_#
