Can enyone port Open GL 3.1 or 3.2 for adreno 306 ? To improve preformance of gpu bcs thats weak spot of J5 2015 and J5 2016 devices?
Drivers cannot be ported, those are micro-softwares which tell you CPU how to use the components of your device and are made especially for one type of component.

Than how adreno 4xx and 5xx can be ported from 3.1 to 3.2 (OpenGL) and support for vulkan i seeing thats post and peapole showing big preformance boost in benchmarks like antutu or geek bench . ???

Helo,
recently I've started to think how can I improve my Toshiba G910. I've read that it is almost impossible to cook new ROM so I thought that maybe new graphic driver would help. I found out that this phone is on Qualcomm msm7200 and Adreno 130.
In specification that GPU supports hardware acceleration for 2D and 3D, is it possible to rewrite opensource drivers for snapdragon so it would work on WM 6 based devices?
Thanks for replays

I think it maybe more complicated than that. The Snapdragon CPU's utilize newer hardware, which the GPU is Adreno 200/205 models. They have OpenGL 2.0 mobile drivers and such. The drivers, i believe, are written for them.
That being said, I do not think that writing open source drivers written for snapdragon will not work on the processor you currently have. I am using a Touch Pro and it has the same CPU as your device (mine has a higher clockspeed). They are completely different drivers, snapdragon's core is different, and do not forget these are "system on a chip (SoC)" cpu's.
There maybe drivers floating around to utilize the full power of the snapdragon on a WM6.x device because the Toshiba TG01, HTC HD2, and LG eXpo all have the same 1Ghz Snapdragon Processor. Again, these drivers would be not compatible with your device seeing you have a different chip.
I would say to try and install the touch diamond 3D drivers. The hardware/software set in our processors used to be ATI Imageon. I have the drivers installed on my device and the 3D games do run at full FPS. Before installing the driver, the 3D games (Xtrakt and Experiment 13) ran at 2 FPS. with the drivers, i get about 23 FPS. maybe its worth looking at these drivers that already exist. Can not tell you how to cook a ROM because i am not a chef but for drivers to try out i would say the touch diamond 3D drivers maybe a good starting place.
does sgy has gpu or 3d driver as in my sgy it does not plays 3d games

it does not work that way,
just because you have a GPU that does'nt mean you have the capacity to render all 3d graphics,
get a year 2004 PC,
play call of duty 5 with it,
it does not run but the old PC has a GPU too,
its the same with smartphones,
i'm not saying we have a old GPU
we just have a less capable GPU for our phone compared to others,
and btw SGY has 3d rendering of 20 fps max
its simple as that
the problem isn't on the GPU...our screen is too small and the openGL driver is a lil bit old. in term of price and performance, our GPU is great. too bad that broadcomm made it close source.

Yes, our gpu is good its Broadcom 4 gpu and u know, Nokia n8 has a broadcom 3 gpu! So,i think Our gpu is better than a costly phones gpu......
Hi,
After the last update (android 6.0.1) has greatly increased performance GPU (mali t628 mp6) , Why? It is even better than Adreno 330.
Bro...what r u asking...i cant get u
G900h has exynos and is the better phone performance wise what are you asking though

It isn't. The GPU adreno 330 is 60% faster then the one in exynos version.

it's not true. After the last update (android 6.0.1) increased performance GPU. Just look at the results GFXbench. Now are the same as adreno 330 or better.

No they aren't. Drivers don't increase hardware performance. You can't say that a chip from 2 years ago could be made to run as fast as one released today.

I do not compare mali t628 to today chip, only for adreno 330. The fact is that the update (android 6.0.1) performance increased. On android(kitkat) were much lower scores in GFXbeanch. I have galaxy s5 900H and it is checked.

Maybe you didn't understand. Adreno 330 is faster because of hardware, not because of software. Mali is lower because its hardware is inferior to 330. Those are physical facts that can't be changed by anyone.

GFXbench results testify to something else. These are the facts, you can check!
I do not understand how to better hardware? if the results (GFXbench) tell a different story
Why does this device have to stay on that ****ty Opengl 2 when on this Mali 450MP4 should work. I have a snap 410 device with adreno 306 GPU what is AMAZINGLY SLOW, but it has OpenGL ES 3.1, and the antutu scores are almost the same just because the "marooned" 3d bench has a 2500 score and just 300 in That chinese bench or whatever is called.
Is a mod possible to get OpenGL ES 3.0/3.1 on this device?
I'm sure that if we will have that kind of mod the benchmark scores will be significantly higher.

No.....Our hardware doesn't support OpenGl 3
If it did we would have got Android nougat
Its not about fast or slow its about support which is not available for our device's GPU.
Maybe,,,Maybe a driver I.e. from Mali or huawei can make it support but it's most likely not possible

Wow, I'm really curious about this. Only think we need now it's Vulkan API support, and only Mali could help us(and Khronos or Huawei, pushing Mali to implement is)

Why Fortnite doesn't work on Mi A2/6X, Mi Pad 4 and other Snapdragon 660 devices and Fortnite work on Samsung Galaxy A9 2018 (it's a Snapdragon 660 phone) ?
https://twitter.com/anothrandomuser/status/1105563355111219205
I have hack the apk of the fortnite app and be able to download the game trust me , it's very slow and very buggy, you don't need it,,
Also servers kicks you out because of the lag,,,
Tried with the lowest setting possible :/
@Mashrmallow Fortnite doesn't support any SD660
Device. I tried modifying the apk and installing it on my Stock A2 but its lags like crazy not worth it

I think if Epic Games willbad the support for sdm6660 in Fortnite, the performance will be better because I already play on Samsung Galaxy A9 2018 (Another sdm660 device) and it's not buggy and it's payable

I wish they add more support for more devices,,,
Mi A2 has adreno 512 gpu but fortnite requires adreno 530 gpu. If this can be sorted and graphics be a bit reduced fortnite can be played easily.

Fortnite support Adreno 512 You because Samsung Galaxy A9 2018 (sdm660) run it officially, Fortnite just didn't add compatibility for other sdm660 device
I checked for the specs to run fortnite, it shows that adreno 530 or higher is required.

edit: what if we change our devices fingerprint to a9 2018 ?

You probably don't even know the difference between CPU and GPU but it is normal, this is what I expect from the average fortnite player. Your phone, as well as all other phones, have both a CPU (the sdm660 for example) and a GPU (like the adreno 512, for example). Two phones can have the same CPU just like the A9 you are referring to and the A2 but have a different GPU. So probably the A9 doesn't have an Adreno512 GPU but a better one.

It's a CPU+GPU board (APUs?), two phones with the same CPU will always have the same GPU (at least for Snapdragon devices). The Galaxy A9 have the Adreno 512, it's just marketing.

For your information I know the difference between CPU and GPU and A9 have a Adreno 512 like the Mi A2 (It's the same CPU and GPU than a Mi A2 but only the A9 can run fortnite with a sdm660) and for a snapdragon processor case the GPU can't be different for the same processor (exemple: a Adreno 509 is impossible to be in a phone who use a sdm660, only a Adreno 512 is possible to be in a phone who use a sdm660)

yeah its because fortnite not allowing weak devices to play so that every phone user has the same advantage ( no lags and lack fps )
but it seems to make no sense since u said that the A9 can run it up but Mi A2 can't so yeah epic games is just so bad at maintaining the mobile version #_#
