This is from all of the ICX team, one of our kings made a breaking discovery and ported over the DHD build perfectly working.
Now, we should be able to also run Sense roms too!
For all the people who cant contain themselves, you are free to scream here with delight

it warms my heart to see you guys working together
the way that you unite to pursue a common goal
dont want to sound too cheesy
but it restores my faith in the human spirit
well done
keep up the good work
I have a question about that signature picture u all use, is it only for the devs or also for fans/users/supporters? I would like to use it too!!
OMG THIS All IS SUCH AN AMAZING CHRISTMAS GIFT!!!
Im going to make one for supporters or what ever. But feel free to use it if you want
How far from a fully working ALPHA / BETA do you think we are?
is the Kernel based on ICS or CM7?
Based on CM7 with VMSplit changed to 3g
I thought he used official 4.1.C.0.6 kernel with DooMLoRD patch?
Going to create repo for ICX kernel tomorrow
Sent from my Xperia Play
Don' think that worked? Do you want a nice boot logo?
Boot logo for kernel? Yes!
Make one then use zdihdzu's aCBIT in arc or x10 section to convert to rle.

Also, can't wait to see the look on my friends face with his desire s, me using sense and ics roms, him with his warranty intact, he thinks stock is good.

This is a huge milestone in Xperia play development, I think a lot more developers will become interested in the Xperia play now, You guys just brought the dev section back to life, 56 pages on your icx dev thread in just 1-2 days.

I think more devs will get involved because we have basically got a desire hd (Same specs, libs, board .etc)
Does it mean we also can get sense 3.0/3.5?

Hi all, I'm an Admin from a large Sony Ericsson based forum and blog (www.se-nse.net) and we're currently expanding our horizons to cover Android a lot more.
I'm also an xda-developers user but clearly I don't post quite as much over here. I hope that this topic is acceptable though.
We're looking to get some Android developers about the place for both software development and technical knowledge on the forum if interested. se-nse is currently a great resource for modding of SE handsets and we hope to create a similar community for Android within the same site.
So if you know your Android stuff and are interested in joining our project please get in touch.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Mik
I'm holding my breath for some Android devs to work on both sites as well...
B/C I am holding my breath for the xperia! The SE US website lists the X10a for North America with ATT 3g bands. So, I'm hoping the X10 will be the first ATT Android device.
In which case I will definitely be getting one AND I WILL NEED MY ROOT!
I'll still keep my G1 for dev purposes! So, I won't be abandoning XDA!
Hey Mik,
I used to frequent the se-nse forum during the w800 days, I'd be most glad to assist you with your project if time permits, however do you need a modder, a native developer, a kernel hacker or a Java developer?
Regards,
Akshay
Well community wise we'll hopefully end up with all of those but specifically we're looking for a developer to build an Android app for se-nse.
I'm thinking something along the lines of a news reader for the blog and the ability to login, read PM's and change profile details from the phone. Setting a new avatar using the phones camera would be particularly nice I think.
Mik
Excellent, is it a group effort? Count me in, although if its just me working on it I dont know how much time I can dedicate to it until the 4th of December, I'm a bit busy till then, giving a talk at droidcon London.
Definitely a group effort as long as there are enough people wanting to be involved.
I'll happily lend ideas and do the testing but I know nothing about programming what so ever
Still looking for more developers to join the community and help out with our app development. Anyone who's interested please let me know or just head over to the forum topic linked in the first post
Mik
ahh se-ense.net. I remember that from when i used to mod my k750i.
Good times.
anyway, i'll probably start using both sites, as i'm planning on getting the X10 when it's released.
Maybe it'll need an audio hack, who knows

What do you have to say about this?
Say something to all the great devs that made this possible!!!!
Say something to SE!!!!!!
Let's rise our voices
DO NOT FORGET TO DONATE TO THE DEVS THAT MADE THIS POSSIBLE!!!!!!!!
For the original thread (and dev information for bootloader) go here, but do not post unless dev-related and on-topic!!!!
==========================================================================================================================================
Since the bootloader has been released I created a new thread to provide an space for the community to give useful feedback to devs about this particular alpha release
Wow, really???? If thats the case, a big well done to Z
I'm ready to donate
Congrats! I know this has been coming and eagerly awaited by all, I personally dont know what extra it gives us beyond what we can do already..
Will be great to see what happens now..
Just saw his post in the dev thread. Awesome news. Congrats to Z, and all who contributed so much time and effort!
Ready to donate too. What does this mean though?
it also shows fps2d and the average fps was 54!!!!!!!! over 30!!!!! WOWOWOW hooray for Z!!!!
So even the better question. Who will be the first dev to complete a customer RoM with there own Kernel that is 100% Stable and by stable I meen, works with everything without any workarounds.
I seen this posted like an hour or more ago, but I didn't wanna start this topic lol. This is friggen just amazing work! Congrats to the devs that made this possible!
SE, you might as well unlock it now lol.
Its just not possible to even stop these devs at XDA!!!
This is hugeee news... Time to unleash the true inner beast of the x10!
Ahahaha just on the date of the Arc launch. Hopefully it will be applicable to the Arc too.. zdzihu will be rich now I just want to get rid of the fps cap, don't really care abt 16 mill colours
Z is awesome, what do you think SE?

hahah mannn that would be brutal
If its an April Fools joke well.. I don't know yet but it won't be good.
Lol....this is a pretty serious subject with the devs. They definitely wouldn't do this as a April fools joke.
Sent from my X10i using XDA App
LOL!!!!
It is not yet April fools over here (I have 48 more mins )
I think that the best goodies from the open bootloader would be:
- Overcklocking
- FPS cap removed
- Native USB/Thethering
- 16 million colors
and I have a question... the x10 supports multitouch???? (not only dual touch like now)
SE: suck it!!!!!!!
Happy April Fools day everyone!! hahahahaha
Hey guys,
We have been working to port Sense 4.0 since the first RUU came out and in this thread we will show you the progress we make + photo's etc just to keep you updated.
How are we doing this?
-Use the latest HTC One X RUU as Rom base
-Latest CM9 nightly build for libraries, vendors etc..
-Modified CM9 kernel with HTC parts (bootclasspaths, mounts, etc), I compile a new kernel daily.
-Use our brains alot
So One X has a resolution of 1280x720 so we need to resize some apps but that's not so hard.
I will post in this thread daily with answers and that kind of shizzle.
If you'd like to donate, check my sig =)
You can also follow our progress on our site!

Amazing *-* when it Will be releases for the nexus s i9023?
Wow cant wait to test this amazing work
This is so awesome! Is it possible for your team to write a guide on what exactly you did, or at least a deeper overview? The information on porting Sense/TouchWiz is dangerously sparse on the internet, so it doesn't really happen often.
@Coentje44 nice thing up there... But, its kinda funny... Why didnt you guys used One S RUU? One S has the same res as us... HDPI! lol
Anyway, good job in porting though...
Amazing!!!
I'll Keep an eye on this work
You guys are awesome :')

Hi all on XDA
I have always liked to make digital pictures in Photoshop and so on. So I just wanted to say that if you want some icons or pictures for your ROM I will gladly help. I'm not a real pro but I can make real good stuff sometimes the only problem I have is that until the 16th of August I've not so much time. After that I think I've time, so if you want just PM me

As a graphic designer myself, may I put in some advice? Get a portfolio of your work going. If you don't have anything/want to try something new, start working on some projects for major ROMs, even if they won't be used. It allows people to see how you envision the brand and identity of that particular piece, and it showcases your talents and technique (obviously).
Perhaps start with the biggest, CyanogenMod? With codeworkx releasing the experimental build of CyanogenMod 10 for the Galaxy S II less than 24 hours ago, it's a great opportunity to start!

I bought a OnePlus One a few months ago and temporarily switched over from my Z2, and just ended up switching back to the Z2 a few days ago. Even though the OnePlus and Cyanogen are a great pairing, the camera quality on the OPO (even if it is using Sony camera hardware) isn't as good as the Z2, and it's faced with the same WiFi and buggy touchscreen issues and random reboots that a lot of Cyanogen builds have. I also have a Sony DSC-QX10 and a Moto 360, and it just never can maintain a strong connection with those devices and will sporadically drop/reconnect when using them. Also, the "Sandstone" backing on the OPO also starts to wear off after a while, and dust seems to build up in the weirdest places along the edges of the phone after being in your pocket for a bit.
It's a great phone for the price, nonetheless, but I just can't see fully replacing an Xperia with a OnePlus at this point...

I believe you are right...
I really thought to buy opo, not to abandon Xperias for good but to wait for Z4 on something different...
Even I was satisfied with Z2 fw...
But then Sony released 167 fw and all my doubts have gone...
You are the fifth one who said opo isn't that good as advertised and what bunch of users said when it was launched...
Tnx for all informations, this was very helpful ?
I flashed Android 5.0 today, in my Nexus 7 and, even it's not official, it's very, very good.
ART is interesting as well, just like whole dev tree...
I can't wait to see what will Sony do on 5.0 UI.
Another great option is to invert framework color, so you can have dark, or better to say black UI in a second, with a one pressed button...
Yes, this is kinda off topic but I just wanted to share few lines and didn't want to spam section with unnecessary thread...
