6) Now replace LEOIMG.nbh with MAGLDR 112 .nbh as LEOIMG.nbh on sd and
YOU ARE DONE.
7A) Jump down to replace data.zip 7B) before you Run dwi.exe and install Windows 7 then do ChevronWP7 hacks/etc and get LIVE. note: SOMETIMES helps to pull battery out not press vol down twice at 1234-5-6 (go go go) point - ie: first HARDRESET per Cotulla and DFT instructions. and CLEAN 8gb class 10 SD-card SANDISK is best and OEM (but faster).
7B) .........final.....stage.....here....
Continuing on: wp7 CLEAN: WORKS:
Before doing dwi.exe PROPERLY: make a fake data.zip with EMPTY (ie: notepad make 0kb .txt files then rename part00.bin, part01.bin, ALL THE WAY TO part07.bin and save these into data.zip (rename real data.zip data.bak or whatever).
Then flash with dwi.exe so this CLEANS OUT PARTITIONS COMPLETELY with ZEROES.
now: notes:
SOMETIMES helps to pull battery out not press vol down twice at 1234-5-6 (go go go) point - ie: first HARDRESET per Cotulla and DFT instructions. and CLEAN 8gb class 10 SD-card SANDISK is best and OEM (but faster). Run dwi.exe and install Windows 7 then do ChevronWP7 hacks/etc and get active microsoft= LIVE!
Also - questions:
Anyone take note and/or mtty'd or used Cotulla's SIMULACRUM SPL (LEO 1000 SPL here)? ie: pressing just vol down gets you to wp7 spl before it boots (after magldr of course - 1234 vol down). I have reverse engineered daf.exe/dwi.exe and binaries+ using 24nand+ and dumping/mttying have been able to crack a few commands for this strange but necessary second-second-program-loader. Anyway - TO CLEAN YOUR PHONE wp7-method do this and (this is the both normal winmo and my replaced data.zip NEXT STAGE CLEAN after the above oem/stock/winmo and spl cleaning by sd... save the life of your hd2 for another year...
(nb: you can also do daf/android way with NO FILES .IMG at all - just use flash.cfg with 0 asize allsize and no boot, system, ro, nothing: just those 3. ie: partition name is 0. dont even have to name a file system. Although is interesting that daf.exe has strings in it for both: SquashFS, and WPH. !!! this is daf.exe not dwi.exe ...) hmmm.

Hello,
I have done these steps:

and now my phone says I have SPL 3.03! I cannot flash any other SPLs anymore.
Please help....
what I am missing?

I tried many ways & installed many things on my htc HD2 to run Android FOYO 2.2 with windows 6.5. (Dual Boot) . but all are failed

Ok first off I think you probably need to update your Windows Mobile ROM cause you have a older ROM and this could be the cause of not being able to boot your SD Andriod build to work on your HD2. Go to HTC.com and look for the latest official ROM for your HDW T8585 but make sure it is for your spacific phone, you should have to varify by typing in your serial number or something like that. Download the update and flow the instructions to flash it.
Also please post some more information about what you have tried to do and what the exact problem is please.

Here's the fast, easy way to do it, you'll have to read up for more ramifications and options:
1) flash HSPL
2) Flash the WM6.5 ROM of your choice
3) Flash 2.15.00 radio
4) put the SD Android build of your choice on SD
that's all, you will dual-boot just fine.
just run clcrd and haret when you want android.

Or you can skip the first 3 steps by flashing a 3.14 ROM
Edit : Must be an official rom

well yeah I was assuming you wanted an actually good WM6.5 ROM and not the crap stock.

I can tell you know the problem was your radio, once you update it to 2.15.00 you will run Android fine.

I did the follow:
1ST : RAN HSPL3_PKG ; MAKE IT (SPL-2.08. HSPL)
2ND : INSTALLED RUU_Leo_HTC_ARA_1.66.415.9_Radio_15.37.50.07U_2.10.50.08_2_Signed_LEO_Ship
3RD : INSTALLED FroyoStone_Sense_V2 (Android folder) into SD Root.
Working great but only 2 thing:
a) calling or receiving calls there is a buzz sound.
b) after download update from internet by wi-fi, it's asking me to install. but device keep restart ????

I successfully created my 1st custom ROM for the Mozart Windows Phone with the new HSPL by cotulla
I used as a base this ROM:

The custom build has the ability to be unlocked and to upgrade to MangoB2 thru zune
In my next build i will try to include mango and dfrouter for those not sync to zune

- Deploy TouchXplorer.xap

use ansar's method to go all the way to RTM 7720 and Chevron unlock is still working (e.g., i can still use TouchXplorer). i basically repeated the steps for 7712 again for 7720. thanks!

followed all the instructions 30x everytime i update to isv beta 7403 the phone is relocked as when i try to use touchxplorer it say ms has revoked this app please uninstall ????? any help

I previously used "RUU_Mozart_HTC_Europe_1.28.401.04_5.52.09.16_22.33a.50_RELEASE" which had a colour banding problem and upgraded that ROM all the way to MANGO RTM and the colour banding still remained which was very annoying having spent 2 hours+ completing the proceedure.
I've just flashed this version and I still have the colour banding issue.
When I tried the DFT 7113 ROM, it resolved the Colour banding issue.

when it is 7712 my touch explorer is working but registry editor is not opening at all
why it is?

I am having problems getting to Mango (7720)...
I used this custom ROM, then did the update to 7403, its all good and still unlocked but Zune does not find any newer updates?
I have updated Zune to the latest version as well (4.8.2345.0).
Anyone with the same problem, anyone know how to get it sorted?

I am quite sure I have... Can you give me a link to the update tool just incase.
So I have Zune installed, then I run the update tool and then Zune will give me updates after 7403?
Do I need to have all of the Zune processes closed when I run the update tool - or just the zune.exe or does it not matter?

Thanks soo much. After 3/4 hours I finally got it sorted.
So I reflashed with the custom ROM, uninstalled Zune and the update tool (Phone engineer flashing tool).
Then followed the guide you gave me and it eventually worked. Took forever to update to 7712 as the update seems biggish (150-250MB I am guessing) and installing it on the phone takes 45 minutes + easily.
Then my next problem was getting to 7720 - I had Zune 4.8.2345 where I needed version 4.8.2134.0 once I had that installed the bat file ran fine and phone updated to 7720 perfectly.
Also I suspect the reason it did not work the first time was due to the guide I was following. The mango unlocker files:
Unlock_Mango_XBMODDeployer.xap
Update_Mango.XBMODDeployer.xap
Note the one has the _ before the XBMOD and the other the . before the XBMOD - the guide I was following never said I needed to use the one with the . and that is the only thing I can of which may have made a difference (Although the zune versions may have made a difference).

hi i am a noob needing help im after windows phone 7.5 (mango) on my uk o2 htc hd2 but i am very confused and need a step by step guide i'm currently running window mob 6.5.5 (Artemis ver65.0) which i bought with the rom already installed any help will be much appreciated thanks

simple steps to install WP7 ROM to HD2:
1. Check HSPL in booloader screen... you must have (install) 2.08 HSPL
2. insert formated microSD card
3. install Radio 2.15.50 (first boot to bootloader then connect device and run flashing)
4. install Magldr1.13 (first boot to bootloader then connect device and run flashing, after process done device restart and boot to Magldr menu)
5. Enable 24MB extra memory in Magldr services (select 10. Services - 4. UseLast24NAND, confirm with green)
6. Delete MBR on SDcard in Magldr services (10. Services - 5. ClearSD MDR)
7. In Magldr select 5. USB Flasher, connect device and flash ROM with DWI.exe
8. wait process done, and when WP7 booted do hard reset (GO to Settings - About - Reset my phone)....
and thats done...
after WP7 installed, you must have .net Framework on your computer, also install latest Zune and get Live ID key from Microsoft (with chat or phone)
also install WP7 SDK and with Tom XAP Installer you can istall XAP's to device....

[Q] Error Description: USB failed HD2 convert from wm6.5 to wp7

Hi, I have a new problem. Installed a ran DFT_LEO71_TEST. Ran DW install which loads raptool. This looks good, I get the 4 colours on the phone as per the various You Tube vidoes. The raptool says its looking for USB connection which its currently connected to. Then bombs out with the following error message:
"An error message has occurred.
Read below for more information.
ErrorDescription: USB init failed
INfo:\RSPL|RSPL.cpp(1198)"
What is the solution to this USB problem?

procedure for upgrade to WP7... all WP7 have same install (flash) procedure... if WP7 already installed, just enough is last two steps...
- Flash original WM6.5 if needed (HTC EU ROM) or do hard reset on WM6.5
- prepare microSD card formatted to FAT32
- Flash HSPL 2.08 if needed
- Flash MAGLDR 1.13
- in MAGLDR use:
* 10. Services, 4. UseLast24NAND
* 10. Services, 5. ClearSD MDR
* 5. USB Flasher, connect HD2 with USB and run DWI.exe to flash ROM
- do hard reset (Settings - About - reset my phone)
