arte 100 stays on start-up screen

Hello to everybody!
this is a great job you are doing here!
there is a bit of a problem.
i had wm6 arte 100 with:
IPL:3.13.0001
SPL:3.13.0000
GSM:02.94.90
OS:3.13.00
and after running uspl :
SPL:1.11.0000 (I'm sure)
OS:3.13.0.0 (I think)
after a soft reset and a full restart all were running properly.
i took out sim card and sd card connected properly to pc and started the
o2 premium 2.0 full
the procedure went well i made some setup regarding appearence and tried a restart (not soft) for the sim and sd cards to mount.
the ppc boots i see the htc moving start-up screen and then stays in the usual green "windows mobile" screen.
is there any case it can be fixed or should i start trying to see if it can fly?
thank you very much at least for chance to see something different in my artemis screen!
keep walking
after trying several kind of restart here is what,
i pressed both selection keys and at the same time pressed the soft reset button and i kept pressing the selection keys untill a msg in black backround informed about a proccedure that would take place and erase all data etc,etc
i presssed the green key and after 10 sec i was working again full.
i proceded to further settings regarding touch flo and soft reset for the settings to apply, all well also!!!!!
i really do not how but i think i did it !!!!!!!!

Screen stays black

I have a very annoying problem with my touch HD. Sometimes the screen doesn't return on after pressing the standby button. So the screen stays off but I can press the buttons such as "home" or "back" getting a vibrate feedback that shows, that the device is still on and only the screen is off. I made a hardware reset and have still the original HTC german ROM in latest version installed. The screen turns only on, if i wait a time like 5 to 10 minutes. Repeated pressing the standby button, also uncaseing the battery, doesn't have an effect on that problem.
Hi,
If the problem persists after a Hard Reset then it sounds like a hardware-problem to me If I were you I'd take the phone back and get it replaced or repaired
Regards,
Rolf
Hello,
I had the same problem after installing a third part app (pbar 1.5).
Check if you are installing some soft. after the hard reset...
some of the touch-lock software out there can also cause your behaviour, but as you did a hard reset on a standard rom I'd have to agree it's probably a hardware problem
Sorry guys, you are probably vitctim of the MicropERROR syndrom, screen stay black especially after hard use (max blacklight, wifi, internet surf...).
I had the same problem, hard reset hasn't changed anything, my phone is at the repair center of HTC...
x3n0n this is exactly my problem, thanks....
So I have to send in my touch HD
My HTC us back from repair center !!
Diagnostiqued defaults :
- No init
- Headseat plug default
- Estetic default
Hardware changed :
- Mother Board
- Violation Sticker
- System cable (means cable like IDE cable, but don't know the traduction).
Sent 30th December, received today.
thanks x3n0n
How long did it take (send in and get back) ?
Just written in my post, Sent 30th December, received today (9th January), 10 days, but repairation was already done the 6th january.

Touch HD stucked in HTC bootscreen.

Hi all,
I was messing with wmwifirouter on my touch hd and it hung for some reason and i had to soft reset my device. i pressed the power button and switched it off when the confirmation dialog came up. however, when i turned it back on, it would go past the smart mobility screen and the fone gets stuck in the htc screen. the windows mobile screen doesnt show up and it just would go past the htc screen. the charger respords well and wen i wait for sometime and when i press the power button for sometime, it gave me the confirmation dialog sound. but there was nothin but the htc logo on the screen. maybe something is going on behind the screen, but when connected to usb it wudnt detect on active sync. and wen i pressed the reset button under the battery cover, it was stuck at the htc logo screen before it showed some msg asking to press send button to restore factory default settings cause the device wasnt shut down properly or an untrusted app was installed (this is basically wat it said, not word to word.)
so can anyone help me? there is some texts i really badly need to back up.. anything other than a hard reset? please help. thanx in advance.
If you can't get past bootloader screen looks like your only options is to flash rom or hard reset
yeah i just hard resetted and everythings back to normal.. its a pity, i just lost around 4000 txts from my gal..

:/ thats a big loss.
Ive been backing up all my contacts, text messages from summer 2006 htc wizard till today with jeyo mobile companion.
Keeping xls files in AES, RAR encrypted files for safety
Have lost maybe 50 messages at max in that time because of some vista failures and Touch Diamond got stolen in Bulgaria.

[Q] Help! Wildfire crashed, tried hard reset and it won't restore!

Hi all,
I had a terrible catastrophic failure today with my 1-month old HTC Wildfire. I bought my device new, unlocked, in Singapore.
Here's what happened:
Today I received an ordinary SMS (like I have hundreds of times before in the past few weeks) and when I picked up the phone off of the desk, flipped on the screen, and slid my finger to unlock it, I saw a brief error message in a dialog on top of the Messages app. It was something like "com.something .... ", I didn't get a good look at the error but it didn't really mean anything to me at the time. The SMS that I received was then lost (I knew who it was from, but the message was not showing up). A few minutes later, I heard another SMS notification. No error message this time, but again the message did not show up in my Messages app.
So, I pressed the power button to power cycle the phone. After I shut it down, I turned it back on, saw the white screen with HTC logo, then black. It was dead. No amount of pressing buttons did anything.
After a few minutes, I removed the battery and it turned on again. Again, white splash screen and then darkness. Repeated this several times and same result.
Finally, I googled how to do a hard reset. I followed the instructions, held the volume down button while pressing power, cleared the memory, after it restarted it went right back to the white bootloader screen, flashed some error messages, and now I'm stuck in the bootloader. When I select the RECOVERY option, I get a quick screen with something like:
SD Checking ...
Loading [SOMEFILE.zip] ...
No Image!
Loading [SOMEFILE.zip] ...
No Image!
....
....
No Image or Wrong Image!
Can anybody help??! I don't know what to do now. I've searched for this "No Image or Wrong Image" message on these forums, but all the results are about rooting and loading different ROMs. I've never rooted or anything out of the ordinary, I just want the stock OS back and operational.
Btw ... I'm an Android noob, but an experienced Linux/Mac user and 10-year software developer.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Nate
Recovery mode is something else.
To do a hardreset try the following:
Performing a factory reset using phone buttons
If you cannot turn on your phone or access the phone settings, you can still perform a factory reset by using the buttons on the phone.
1. With the phone turned off, press and hold the VOLUME DOWN button, and then briefly press the POWER button.
Note: If you are not sure whether your phone's power is turned off, remove and then reinsert the battery.
2. Wait for the screen with the three Android images to appear, and then release the VOLUME DOWN button.
3. Press VOLUME DOWN to select CLEAR STORAGE, and then press POWER.
4. Press VOLUME UP to start the factory reset.

Call HTC support. I had a problem with my previous HTC phone, and they took me through diagnositcs over the phone, and when they diagnosed a hardware fault, sent a courier to pick it up from me the next day. This was when the phone was 18 months old. No receipt was necessary, they used the serial number/manufacture date.
Downside: the phone was gone a week, and came back still broken. It was sent away again, and came back fixed. So painfully without it for two weeks, but not a bad experience.
(edit: it was a similar problem: I upgraded to windows 6.1, and my phone wouldn't get past the initial hardware/boot screen)
I tried the hard reset procedure several times. Every time it's the same thing. After it clears the memory, it says "Reboot in 5 seconds..." and then when it reboots, it goes back to the bootloader screens.
I've contacted HTC support via email, and I'm bringing it in to their support center in Singapore tomorrow. I really hope it doesn't take a week ... I'll keep you updated.
Fixed.
I just got my Wildfire back today after a full week in the repair center. Apparently they replaced the main system board. No other explanation for the problem was given.
The repair process itself was hassle free, although I was frustrated by not having my phone for a week. Ended up having to buy a cheap basic phone for $55 to get by on SMS and voice.

[Q] Calibration problem after new LCD & Digitiser assembly.

Hi there!
I broke my HTC Touch Diamond (P3700) a month ago and it asked for calibration. I've had it done but again I couldn't press anything.
So I bought an LCD&Digitiser from ebay.
I assembled the new lcd again, it works fine but it needs another calibration.Because wherever i press on the screen only the buttons on the right are pressed!
This happened before after i smashed my lcs and tried to calibrate!
I am stuck at the same screen as before where it asks to press "a1b2c3" after i turn my phone on.
Please someone help me to press the code from my pc or how to start the calibration tool at system start up!
When I connect it ot my pc it says: "your device is currently locked. To connect to or to synchronise with this PC, please authenticate your device."
Please help!!!!
It was suggested some time ago that you call your number (from another phone of course). After answering the call, you can open the soft keyboard and type a1b2c3.
