I upgraded to SFR some months ago but now I'd like to revert to a previous state (it was NODO when I bought it).
Unfortunately my PC "lost" the backup since it's not asking me anymore to revert to a backup. I remember it used to ask for it but now it stopped.
I checked "windows phone update" backup folder and it's empty
What can I do ?
Download any of the ROMs available in the ROM thread, should work just fine.I recommend the UK unbranded one.

If I restore my phone from Sprite back up files after upgrading ROM, will the new updated ROM be retained or the old one will be used?
Cheers.
The updated ROM will be retained. But you must use device upgrade mode, you cant just restore after the ROM upgrade. See the Sprite FAQ for details

Go to theunlocker website and first search how-to-create-a-goldcard then visit shipped roms and download http://shipped-roms.com/shipped/Buz...13.53.55.24H_3.35.19.25_release_151892_signed and run, also recomend visiting unrevoked site first and getting root to enable taking a nandroid backup so if any thing stalls you can restore from good backup.
the memory card that i have in my pone now is a gold card and ive use unrevoke and dwnloaded the rru and it wont let me install it
Whats the current version of your phones software ? you might need to roll back to an earlier ruu and then progressively update through the software updates.
Hi,
I have a LG E900 Orange FR branded. Yesterday I was updating my phone thru Zune to 7.10.7740.16 when a power failure occured.
Thankfully (I thought), Zune made a backup.
But since the phone can't boot anymore (impossible to go beyond the LG logo), I flashed it with the Open Europe LG firmware (I wanted to unlock IS and voice mail but it didn't work).
Then I tried to restore the backup. But after the phone has restarted, no change and Zune displays an error (restore failure).
I then tried to flash back to the Orange FR ROM but I got the same result (can't restore backup).
In addition to that, I noticed that although the OS is updated, the LG firmware updates are not applied. So my phone is now :
Orange branded, OS 7.10.7740.16 (can't get 8107 via Zune) and FW 1.0.10.10 without IS nor voicemail...
In other word I lost ALL my saved data (savegames, SMS, settings, ...) for nothing...
What should I do in order to restore my backup?
I have the same problem, can you tell me how you fixed it?
Hello,
Using Samsung Galaxy S4 i9505 running Android 4.3 MJ5
I would appreciate any help with this.
Yesterday I decided to upgrade my existing 4.2.2 EE UK branded ROM to the 4.3 MJ5 unbranded ROM. The upgrade itself went without a hitch but I am having trouble with restoring SMS messages from a Kies backup.
I initially made a Kies backup and selected the box to select all items for backup. I noticed that messages were not included here for some reason so made a second backup, but this seemed to hang half-way through so I killed it after approximately 30 minutes.
I also did a manual copy of all the contents of the phone through Windows Explorer (I do not have an SD card installed).
On restoring the first backup I noticed that messages were not restored. I then restored the second backup but noted that only messages to July 2013 were restored. I restored from my Samsung account through the handset however whereas this worked it only restored messages to early October 2013 - I assume there was no sooner auto-backup.
For some reason Kies has either not backed up all the data or had a corruption somewhere (yes, I've subsequently read all about how one should stay away from it!).
Is there any way to manually retrieve the text messages from the manual copy I made of the phone's contents? I know that on Apple devices there was a file that contained all SMS messages. Is the same the case here, and if so could I possibly retrieve the remaining messages and add them to the phone?
Any help much appreciated. I'm new to Android so please excuse any mistakes.
All the best for now and take care.
Hussein.
I have a rooted Note 3 SM N900 with a Pakistani android 4.4 rom. I am thinking of flashing an Indian rom to update as lollipop is still not available in my country. However I can't seem to find definite info about CSC. Should I directly flash it or do i have to change CSC?
and also How do I back up my internal storage+apps+data?
Nah, CSC doesn't mean much, if any at all, go on, flash the Indian ROM. For backup use Titanium like everyone does. However photos, music etc. won't be backed up with TB, so just use old copy method to your desktop, laptop, whatever is convenient.
What will matter is the EFS... it can get screwed up... so best thing to do is backup your current version (EFS especially - if you want to connect to your current mobile provider), and try a rom from a similar region (in your case India)... then if no baseband, etc, try flashing your backup EFS... otherwise revert back to your original rom.
Good luck!
