I'm currently on CM-07-07042011 nightly encore. I'd like to upgrade it to nightly 201 or the latest stable mod. I've tried several methods and even started a thread but shoulda asked it in the Q&A. I don't really have anything that needs to be saved or can't be backed up. Ideas?

What is special about this nightly as compared to others??
i read a post under a thread and there was a stable 844 overclock that worked on this nightly.
I've been using the 844 oc on every cm6 version I've had on my phone and have not had any issues since the 3.2 kernel came out.
on a side note,i did have some problems when I tried the 3.5 kernel, but could have been my software load.went back to 3.2 and am currently running with one of the newer nightlies - very stable...
Thread moved to General.
Hi guys,
Just have a quick question- wondering if anyone is running into the same problem. I just installed Cyanogen 7 rc1, and it is force closing between the load screen and the welcome screen (for the first time).
I'm not sure if this is the correct place to post this, but any help would be great.
Thanks
Based off what I've read in the development threads, the RC does't seem to be too much of an RC. I'd restore and wait.
you have to flash RC1 over a nightly build.

Yep! Its was a known issue with the first build of RC1. Something was botched. I recommend you either flash RC1 over nightly build #38, or you just flash nightly build #39 (which already includes fixes that were left out of RC1).
Cheers!
Apparently I haven't been paying attention. Looks like my Nook is still running CM7 stable 7.0.2 and while I have been really happy with it. I think its time for an upgrade. I purchased the Galaxy Nexus on launch day and ICS is awesome. I want it on my Nook bad but I understand it may be awhile.
In the meantime what do you all recommend for now? Do I go with the latest stable build or nightly? Are the nightlies even available?
Edit: I see nightlies are up? I'm guessing I should probably stick with a stable build huh? Is there overclock ability in the latest stable build?
I haven't updated myself yet but vastly suggested by many members of using MiRaGe KANG, which also CM7 based.
I second MiRaGe. Latest CM7 based with all known fixes in including overclocking kernel. I've been using 12th Dec version and it seems very stable.
Nightlies got stuck in Mid November and I don't think they will resume until ICS starts up. MiRaGe is the best bet until there is a good ICS version available.
Anyone jumped from the current EOS 1.0 stable to the nightlies lately? Or vise versa.
I'd love to know how it went if there was any differences.
I've been happily on 1.0 for months but interested to see if there's any worthwhile improvements.
wingray 91 is great, and seems very stable.
I love the nightlies, especially #91, which is ICS 4.04, with their latest mods. Going from stable was same as from a nightly for me, just remember to flash the nightly along with the latest gapps, before you get out of rom manager, and make a backup prior to install that way you can always go back to how you were.

If you check the change log. There has been a bunch of changes.
I have done a search and had a hard time finding decent instructions for upgrading an emmc installed CM 7 nightly to emmc CM 7.2 stable. I have already downloaded the 7.2 from the site...but its been so long since I installed this nightly that I have forgotten how to upgrade the Rom....and I Use my R800x alot for gaming, but would prefer a bigger screen for some games that only use Touchscreen. the reason its so outdated is because i rarely use my NC much these days, but am getting back into using it more.
