I don't think that exists, as no one has yet to create an app that changes the physical composition of a device.
I'm not sure what fonts are used by the default launcher but if you use an alternate launcher, you can overwrite Clockopia, DroidSans and DroidSans-Bold in the /system/fonts directory (same process as other devices) and when you reboot, it will be applied.
Not to be a jerk, but you've posted your question in the wrong section.
In my opinion, it's a gray area as to whether he posted. Changing protected system level fonts is part of customizing the Kindle Fire. It's not a 'theme' or 'app', and not even sure it's a 'general question'.
Are we saying that this section of the forum should mean "kernel+recovery+complete ROM" only?
What about Build.prop or settings.db?'
He can try the font changer app in the market..idk if it'll work tho..
It works. I've been using the roboto font since I root it.

Is ther
a way to set the dpi per-app? I like hdpi (240) for my launcher and keyboard but nothing else. Can this be done or is Android not resolution independent like Mac OS?

It doesn't really work that way, sorry. The DPI set in build.prop is system-wide, it's up to the application developers to make their apps density (and screen size) independent.
I found that adw.ex has a dpi hack that makes it tablet friendly and smart keyboard pro has a setting for key size. These two apps accomplish what I was after.

This is the official Kindle Fire Jelly Bean discussion thread (as started by myself in order to stop people from constantly opening new threads about it). If you see a newbie asking about it, direct them to this thread.
Please remember that the most stable ROM for your Kindle Fire is the one that shipped with it and that anything found at XDA should be regarded as WORK IN PROGRESS and will have some if not many issues.
Most frequently asked questions...
How do I get my album art to show up in the new library widget?
The library widget only pulls artwork from albums stored on Google Music itself. You can upload your music via https://play.google.com/music/listen , and add album covers within it so that it shows up on your Kindle.
Google Now doesn't work, how can I revert to the Google Search feature?
Go to Settings > Apps (under the Device section) and clear the data in the Google Search app. Open the Google Search app back up, run through the Google Now setup and click Maybe Later.
How can I connect my Kindle under Jelly Bean using USB Mass Storage?
You can't at the moment, but I suggest using Solid Explorer Beta's ( https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=pl.solid.explorer ) FTP feature as a workaround for now.

If you're using Hashcode's ROM you can force the Tablet UI by changing the DPI to 130. I've seen this question asked quite a few times.
130 dpi makes the UI waaay too small.
?
Almost everything is working great on my KF with 4.1.1, except for Amazon apps. I know some people are having trouble getting the Kindle ereader app to install. I get an error ("Unknowon error code during applicatoin install "-24") when I try to install it from the Play store. I've also tried to install from other locations with no success.
Anybody know how to get it working?
Everithing's ok but
Games from market show black screen on start or freez. How to fix that?
In setting turned on all GPU accelerations. Can this make a problem? Cant check, as moved back to 4.03.
Thx a lot.
Everything was fine until Flash stopped working and the weather app shows no weather info.
Working Now
Updated to ICS Flash, strange the GB ver. work for a little whole.
weather working also.

The first time I booted it was blank the whole time and that came up right before it booted. After rebooting a few times, it seems to work normally.
1. How do I put the N7 into Tablet UI? After its been rooted.
2. Is there any problems with the Tablet UI?
3. Do you think that it is better than the Hybrid UI?
4. Does the market not work after do you change it?

1) Use ES file explorer as root and edit build.prop LCD density to 160.
2) Not that I know of.
3) 100%
4) Works perfectly.

I prefer portrait for most things, but like to use landscape on the homescreen when exiting a landscape app, so I will most likely use a launcher that supports rotation.
I just tried the Nova beta that supports JB, but on my Tab 2 7.0.
I'm starting to see why people are wanting the tablet UI back. I can only imagine it will be worse on N7 with the nav bar on the right side / notification bar at the top when in landscape.
What I would really like to see is a mod that will:
1) Resize the nav bar to 35dpi (47px) while keeping the notification bar 33px. This will give a usable screen of 800x1200 in portrait.
2) Move the nav bar and dock to the bottom of the screen in landscape (rather than keeping them on the right side of the screen). This would yield a usable screen size of 1280x720 (with the notification bar at the top).
For me, this would be the best mix of Tablet UI and Jellybean portrait only UI. So basically, the way ICS worked, but with the notifications moved to the top. And hopefully this can be done without editing the device DPI and causing all sorts of issues.
i used 170 dpi....loaded the go launcher............ gorgeous!!!

i dont understand... what does that mean and how do i prevent it???
I'll be waiting until devs get their hands on their N7's and build a modified navbar in roms, perhaps like in ParanoidAndroid.
I would like to start this to see how many people use tablet workspace since it seems only a few roms seem to be embracing this. Please state what rom you are using and what you use to trigger tablet mode.

Don't like roms that shrink the nav bar too much either!

I'm using tablet ui, liking it a lot

Stock, rooted 4.1.1 here.
Used the local.prop DPI setting to get it into tablet mode and use the app "Set Orientation" to force the last remains (like lockscreen) into landscape for total tablet experience to my likes
Also I'm using GoLauncherEx, which works fine for me landscaped.
Alot of you are using a depreciated method of forcing tabUI by using dpi hacks. IMHO only sgt7 and PA are the only seamless roms that do this well. PA also lets you choose the navbar height independently.
Personally I would never run phabletUI on my tablet. That sounds funny

I wouldn't call it "depricated", I'd call it "the savest and most less intrusive way".
I don't want to flash a different ROM and I don't have to edit any system files - #1 way of doing it for me. And it works just fine

It may seem like its working fine but when I did it that way many apps were gone from my market (google play music, wallet off the top of my head) and the copy/paste bar was nowhere to be found when editing text.
Of course I could have messed something up and yours could be fine.

About the apps, maybe I just got lucky so far and the ones I use on my N/ don't set the compatibility stuff in the way that makes them appear to be incompatible with the N7.
About the copy/paste bar, I just tried and yes, it's "gone" like you say.
But I use GoKeyboard and that has copy/paste buttons as well, so I can live with that for now
Is it possible to change the resolution on the Kindle fire hd 7"
Sent from my KFTT using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
I think so... I dabbled with a app that did something like that once, can't remember it's name though, but if I remember right it seemed more like it was changing the resolution that the is was being rendered in rather than the physical resolution. If you just want more icon space or something similar then change your DPI value in the build.prop, I personally use 178 if I remember correctly. Think the default value was something like 215, not sure exactly though.

The default value for Stock OS is 240, and the default value for everything else (except maybe Kinology?) is 213. If you want to change the resolution for a specific app, install the Xposed framework and install App Settings.
