I remember setting the phone to do certain things upon usb connection like turn off wifi and other things of that nature but now I can't seem to find that menu any longer. When I go into settings > applications > development I only see usb debugging. I don't see usb settings in any of the other menus.

When i connect the phone to my computer it dosent start active sync. It automaticly shows as a usb hdd. Think i put the phone on "Disable Popup when i it gets connected to a computer with usb". But cant find a way to enable it again.
Tried to go on "internet > Active Sync" on the phone. But it dosent help.
Windows Mobile 6.5 "Energy Rom".
I can aslo say that with the other "phone" i have. My work mobile. It automaticly starts.
TC,
Go under settings > Connections. It is one of the settings there which will ask you how you'd want the phone to react when a USB is plugged in. You can choose ActiveSync there.
Cheers.

Thanks anyway mate.
hi I just switched to SuperRAM Froyo and I was wondering is there a way to add internet pass-through and HTC sync modes to this ROM??
Thanx in advance
Internet-Pass Through can be activated in the Settings -> Wireless & Networks -> "Teethering & portable Hotspot"
HTC-Sync seems be broken.
It's running in the background, there's nothing to change settings or start it manually, but i can not sync with it. When connecting USB there's only the option to start USB-MassStorage or not.
It would be very nice to get this running, android-sync is not really finished, lacks features.
Take the MDJ Builds, there's a very nice dialog what to do when connecting USB - how can we get this screen to the superram...? The Internet-Sharing is a little hidden... a "charge only" mode would be nice as well... and not to have the entire phone blocked once usb-mass-storage is activated...
Anyways the HTC-Sync missing really HURTS, the rest is nice to have.
Big Thanks to DarkStone for the RAM-Disk Trick!
On my wife's and my own Galaxy s4 running FreeGS4 v2.0 ROM - the hotspot works via menu, I have a toggle widget for it that works too. I can connect up with multiple devices to either phone...
But neither phone will allow more than 2 devices to connect at any one time.
I went into the LAN settings to confirm settings are correct - and they are, DHCP is active and allow up to 100 connects - this was default, i tried lower and lower numbers, all the way down to 8, but neither phone will allow more than 2 connections at the same time.
I tried to toggled airplane mode on and off, I've tried rebooting. I've tried manually entering the settings.
I'm starting to worry that it is a flaw in the ROM itself, but a friend of mine who also has the same phone and ROM as I do claims he can connect more than 2. So I'm not sure but I am at hair pulling out stage at this point.
Anyone have any ideas?
edit - search works! I found the solution, and I feel 3% more stupid for somehow missing it earlier

go to settings - hotspot - "press on configure->show advanced options->maximum connections" Thanks
Click on configure hotspot and page down in the pop up menu that appears. Click the box that says show advanced options and then set the maximum connections you want to allow. You can also set 2.4ghz or 5.0ghz in this menu.
Fixed.. Leaving this for others since I couldn't find it via a search. - It's under Mass Storage > Settings (3 dots upper right) > USB Storage Connection. Some how it stopped displaying.. I think because I unchecked both by accident?
Out of the blue, I cannot access my phone via usb. I noticed an exclamation next to "Nexus 4" under other devices. No clue what happened as it's always worked. So I've removed the device to reinstall. The device is not being recognized at all with USB debugging off..
When I turn on usb debugging, it'll show up in device manager under Android Device > Android ADB interface.
I have uninstalled/reinstalled multiple times to no avail. One thing I noticed is that I do not get the option to select MTP or PTP.. I believe I have it narrowed down to this being related. Any idea how to get that option back? I found a tip via the dialer on the S3, didn't work tho..##diag# or something like that.
Any ideas? ThADVANCEks
Somehow the USB symbol no longer appears when I connect my S4 to my computer. How do I get it to reappear? Thanks
Not even in the notification area?
Try this: Go to developer options and enable usb debugging. Or, if it is already enabled, turn it off and on again. Do this while connected to the PC.
