Ok i have just installed windows 6.5 and then latest froyo but when am on android the screen go black when its ment to go off.. but the screen is still light if you no what i mean its all black but still has little power and when i go to unlock phone nothing loads up just stays that light/dark screen.. if you o what i mean lol

Hello,
I have a Wizard g4 with hard SPL and this weekend it decided to go crazy. Here is the problem:
- When I turn it on, the screen goes white, blue and orange LEDs are lit and the device vibrates non stop. The camera white led is also lit.
- The only way to turn it off again is removing the battery. reset is useless.
- I try to put it on bootloader mode using the camera+reset and nothing happens
- Trying to turn it on with camera pressed also doesn't work
- Trying to turn it on with voice+network pressed doesn't work either
- When I connect it to charger or USB, it automatically does de same (white screen, etc) described above
I've been using Hornet win 6.1 ROM for some time and was very happy with it.
Is there any hope or am I effed?

You don't say anything about doing a hardreset. Did you try it?
I know this problem has not been resolved yet. However I read that if you boot android when the keypad lcds are off, they will stay off. That is my problem. Im unable to boot android when they are off because they stay on for the duration my screen is lit, in other words, they only turn off when my screen turns dark. To wake the device up I must press the buttons which turns them on again. How did you guys work around this?
the keypad backlight is only on for about 10 seconds...
if this isnt the case you have installed a little tool that it hangs together with the lcd backlight...
my keypad lights don't turn off at all for some weird reason..
also my orange led at the top stays on always..

are you using the latest zimage?

You should try to look in the startup folder of windows. It might have keypadledcontrol.exe which makes it "keep on" while the display is on. Just remove it from ur startup list and you are done. now the keypad will turnoff after 10 sec (by default - configurable through registry).

i was using wifi and opera browsing while all of a sudden i though it was reloading but the screen went black except for the top bar where the signal, volume and connection icons are, when i press any button the screen appears to react like if i pressed the lock button the top showed it was on the lock screen but still black below the top bari could not soft reset since the blackpart of the lcd was black and had no slider, i attached the USB cable and the Active sync/Disk Drvie screen appear when i chose either active sync or disk drive it got stuck on that page but the top part still reacted to the buttons so i took out the battery and put it back in
what could have been the problem, was it an issue with the phone but the screen though black was bright since the led lights were on so was it Sense having the problem the last hing i remember doing while using opera was aborting cleanRAM since i was using the device i did not want opera to close
any ideas?
Ok i dunno what i have done but ive turn my phone of then back on and the phone loads up and starting saying android and then it goes black phone still on cos can here volume button go up and down.. any help? cheers
Happened with me forcing a wipe, the reason was, I set the brightness level too low for the LCD, that it shuts down brightness fully, leaving the LCD black.
Hello guys, my Nokia 6.1 Plus has developed a weird problem. When I turn on the phone the screen lights up as normal, displaying the androidone logo followed by the NOKIA logo before proceeding to the homescreen where it operates as normal. However, when I press the power button to turn the display off or when the display times out and goes off it doesn't wake up. It remains dark when I double tap on the screen or when I press the power button. The screen turns on but remains dark as I can feel it vibrate and respond to touch when I touch anywhere on the screen. I basically have to restart the phone to get it working again. The phone is basically unusable as I can't have the screen stay on all the time for me to use it.
What might be causing the problem and what can I do to remedy it?
Try to backup your important data and perform a factory reset.
