I am trying to restore my phone using adb because my phone isn't working and I can't restore it to stuck using the PD15IMG.zi because I get the FAIL-PU error everytime. So when I try to restore my nandroid backup using adb I get all the way to the point where it tells me to type in "cd nandroid-mobile.sh". When I type this in it says that nandroid-mobile.sh could not be found. What else can I do?
Impretty sure the fail pu error means you need a new phone.
I dont think there is a way around that problem

Fail-PU means fail partition update, which means dead eMMC, which mea.s you can't flash anything. Not even a nandroid backup

Lolololololol okay okay wait! My phone is able to turn on! And when it turns on it stays at the MyTouch 4G screen for like 5 minutes until it boots into Clockworkmod Recovery! Once they see that they are probably going to see that my phone is rooted and just been bricked. Are they going to count that as broken? Will they cut me a break? LOL
What are the odds theey actually sit there for 5 minutes to check?

Ok so this is on my wife's phone that I have not touched, I have a vibrant that is rooted and I flash different things all the time, and recovered from several bootloops, so I'm not totally new to this. As soon as you turn the phone on it goes to the my touch 4g screen, vibrates, and then reboots. I can get into hboot screen but if I try to go to recovery or do a factory reset it just bootloops again. I did some searching but saw nothing about an unrooted phone bootlooping. Any help is greatly apreciated.
Try this... pull the battery. Let it sit for 20 minutes. Then try booting it. Sounds like a dell tech support answer... but it has actually worked for more than a few people.

Any suggestions before I call HTC/tmobile in the morning?

If the pd15img.zip isn't working sounds like an internal storage issue. If that's the case there is nothing u can do. Call T-Mobile not HTC.

I press on factory reset but it just gets stuck on the mytouch screen and nothing happens.I've left it for like 15 mins and nothing happens. Does anyone know what is wrong with it. Not even factory reset works

And when I click on it again it now gives me the option to select bootloader (first time it didn't even give me an option to click on bootloader option it just ran by it self) and it just goes back to the original screen that says fastboot, recovery, factory reset, sim lock, and image crc. Greetings
My phone is failing to boot after a failed restore. The phone is rooted and has S-OFF. After flashing a custom ROM I wiped and tried to restore a backup of the stock rooted ROM. That failed while writing the partition cache with an error like this: E:Can't mount /sdcard. During the restore I connected the USB cable right before that error appeared and I suspect that was the cause. I rebooted the phone from recovery, the boot screen came up, sat there for a while and then it entered a boot loop. I pulled the battery at that point. Afterward the phone wouldn't boot into fastboot or recovery. The LED doesn't come on when I plug in USB but the PC detects QHSUSB_DLOAD as new hardware. Is there anything I can try to fix this?
Thanks,
Boz
So you can't boot into the bootloader or recovery at all?
Sent from my HTC Glacier using XDA App
Nope, I can't boot into the bootloader or into recovery. The phone is pretty much unresponsive except for the QHSUSB_DLOAD device detected by the PC.
Wow. Sounds toasted to me. Sorry. Just play around with it using different ways of powering it up.....like without the SD card, hold the buttons then put it the battery, and other ways like that. If it still won't do anything, it seems like your bricked.
Sent from my HTC Glacier using XDA App
Yeah, that's kinda what I figured. I'll play with it some more but I ain't holding my breath. Can tmobile/htc fix this? If so, how much would it cost? I've had the phone for about 10 months but I don't have warranty on it.
You could take it to a T-Mobile store and ask them. They might give you a replacement if your lucky....or maybe a discount for a new phone. Don't mention that it was rooted or that you tried to fix it though. Just tell them it stopped working.
Sent from my HTC Glacier using XDA App
That's what I'll be trying after work today. Hopefully they won't give me too much crap.

ask and answer these two questions to yourself:
1) can you enter bootloader?
2) can you enter recovery?
Note: if you can't enter either one of those, and your device doesn't show any signs of life, then don't bother reading on, you are truly bricked.

Market troubleshooting is pretty much deleting the market cache in applications or using an older version perhaps - but you need to deal with the mount errors..
Doesn't sound like a recovery issue but you can just flash CWM and 4EXT back and forth ... no need to delete as they both basically overwrite. I would stick with 4EXT at the moment. (all assumes s-off)
Read this, not mt4g but should apply Note 4EXT has a 'wipe all except for SD card' ... http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1314629

Because that most likely IS the recovery, unless your sister decided to dig around in /system and mess around with stuff... I mean I don't think you can corrupt the cache by yourself. That's the recovery. I'd flash back to cwm from ROM manager or through fastboot. If you know how to use fastboot here's the command:
Code:
Fastboot devices
Fastboot flash recovery.img
Fastboot reboot recovery
Before you do that make sure that you have your recovery img downloaded and saved to your adb folder and renamed to recovery.img
Last step: hit the thanks button

It doesn't matter at all, "good" or "bad" chip. This is an overblown hype.
Drop CWM, move to 4EXT recovery. You most likely got corruption during one of the recovery operations, or during doing something with your phone (especially if you pulled the battery for some reason).
There are at least 2 guides for that situation exactly, I wish people would read before posting.
