Wireless and Exchange issues! please help! - HD2 Windows Phone 7 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting an

Hi there,
I am having huge problems trying to set this up;
Sixth form wireless is WPA and has a proxy server with authentication which refuses to work, it connects but then no web page will load in IE9 "DNS or Server error"
The OWA Exchange email account says there is a certificate error and wont work and the office exchange sync says the authentication method isn't supported... what on earth is wrong? if anyone can give me any help whatsoever that would be much appreciated because its stumped me and the Network team at school.
thanks.

smtp authentication problems - ppc outlook

hi
it appears that this feature although present in said app, is limited which means its useless to me.
My problem is i want to send thru a server with authentication, for me this involves entering a u/n and p/w that differ from my pop3 login details... What I need it to be able to tick "my smtp server requires authentication" but to also then specify the login detail for that smtp server...
Anyone else run into this same brick wall?

Connection to an Exchange Server via VPN

Hi I am new to all of this so forgive my lack of familiarity with terminology. I am trying to connect an i-mate PDA2k to sync with Microsoft exchange using a VPN connection over WiFi or GPRS. I seem to be able to connect the VPN, but when attempting to log onto the exchange account keep being prompted for username and password. The account is using IMAP, this is enabled on the Exchange server. The administrator for exchange can see the connection coming through, but gets an error message along the lines of attempting to use an SSL connection. I have NOT ticked the 'Require SSL Connection' option in the set-up. Can anyone shed any light driving me insane!

network share on domain controller

I'm having a problem authenticating to network shares over wifi. I don't have any problems authenticating to regular workgroup computers but in this instance I'm trying to connect to my server which is a domain controller. It appears wm6 is having problems with the authentication when using domain accounts versus regular local computer ones...
I checked the event viewer and as far as the server is concerned the login was successful but wm6 is saying login failed....
does anyone know how I might be able to connect to these shares?
thanks very much

Help with Exchange

I need help getting email from my Exchange Server at work onto my Nexus S.
We have Exchange Server 2003 SP 2. When I try to set it up, it says "Unable to connect to server." I have tried every configuration known to man on my end. I'm positive now the problem lies on the Exchange Server side.
I asked our Exchange admin and he said he would set it up however was needed to let me get my mail on my Nexus, and to just let him know what changes to make. Unfortunately, I haven't a clue what to tell him!
Please advise, and thanks in advance.
Matt
The email address is your default Exchange address ([email protected] or whatever your policy is). Your username is your internal domain prefix backslash your username (domain\jsmith) your password is your regular Windows password.
The server address is your externally accessible Outlook Web Access URL (owa.company.com).
I tell it to use SSL but not accept any old cert. Depends if your OWA box has a real SSL or a homemade one.
This is how our Exchange 2003 works, anyway.
Well it turns out this solved our problem:

Apparently a known issue with Exchange ActiveSync 2003.

Microsoft Exchange outlook.com setup issues

Hi
I'm hoping someone can help me.
I am trying to setup Microsoft Exchange for an outlook.com email address and every setting I have used is failing and doesn't work. I have tried majority of the domain/server address settings that are shown or has worked for others but to no avail.
I keep getting "Setup Incomplete, cannot connect to server, Try again after checking network connection..."
I have tried over data & wifi & I know 100% my password is correct.
Help!!!
