I was able to install Juice Defender (free) but when confirming the "aggressive" profile it crashes with the error: "Requires DISABLE_KEYGUARD permission".
Does anyone know if I can do something to get JD working, or do I just need to wait for a KF compatible release?
TIA!

I've noticed that when I try to run Market Updates they download but then just get kinda stuck. As a test, I got rid of Lookout AntiVirus and boom, problem solved.
I pretty much only get apps from trusted sources so I'm not sure how much I need Lookout anyway. Can anyone recommend another antivirus program that doesn't screw up Market updates?
I use lookout with no issues in my market it downloads and installs just fine
evo running myn warm 2.2

Who knows. Could by the combination of the rom and kernel I am running. But getting rid of it definitely fixed the issue.

I got rid of Lookout because the only reason I was using it anyways was for location/screaming. A few Tasker profiles replaced that.

i google'd this but can't find anything on it and was wondering if the s3 is the first phone that allows users to disable at&t services without root. this is my first android device so i wouldn't know if that's true...
anyway, i have hotspots, navigator, messages, and updater. Carat is saying updater uses a lot of my battery, but that is the only one i can't disable in the application management menu in settings. however, i assume if i disable the other 3 then updater will have nothing to update and will consume less battery (hopefully).
has anyone tried to disable these programs with success, i.e. without it causing problems to your phone?
im not sure. but i did try to uninstall one and then it just showed up that it needed a update so i ended up redownloading the app because im so OCD about having updates not done
ATT Apps

You go into the application manager and DISABLE the app. I have gotten rid of ALL the ATT bloatware this way. Works sort of like
Titanium Backup but you do not need the root. Great option.

This is actually one of the 'features' of ICS (being able to disable apps w/o needing root). It basically very similar to "freezing" apps in TiBackup if you have root. It's generally much safer than outright deleting an app since if you do find you need it you can always re-enable it.
Make sure you have "auto update" unchecked in Google play first. Go to manage apps in settings and then go to "all".
Disable the ones that you don't need which is prolly a lot. You can also hide them if you want. While in your app drawer hit the menu button and choose hide apps.

Am I overdoing it by using all three. My screen time has increased to 5 hours (I'm a heavy user) not rooted. Not sure which one if any is the most effective. I disabled Facebook and replaced it with the chrome shortcut, but I do use messenger I find it very good for chrystal clear phone calls shame I can't shortcut this on chrome. Package disabler seems very good but not sure. Your thoughts

A while ago I was using everything I could to improve battery life. Greenify, Amplify, Package Disabler, freezing/deleting system apps, 2g only, no auto brightness and so on.
Now I do not even install xposed. I just let the phone run as it is. Remember to keep your signal strength strong and greenify apps that you're not using. That's all.
Hi,
I disabled Dex Home through package disabler, but after reboot the process still runs.
Can't figure out why.
Can anyone please shed some lights?
Thanks
Don't worry about it, BBS and WLD put samsung Dex home as name, but it's actually Android system wakelock.

Yours ran only for a couple mins over 18 hours and mine ran for 1.5 hr over 3 hrs.
I'm not sure how to debug this.

I just meant to show you the contents of that said "Samsung Dex home" in betterbatterystat.
it is actually Android os/system wakelocks and not the samsung Dex itself.
You can try disable bloatware packages you don't use to lower wakelock time.
I disabled Google play services motion sense.
Sort of kick it down a bit.
I installed greenify and the sensor usage by DeX just shot up I uninstalled greenify and it disappeared again

I have a Custom ROM Installed. I was trying to do a glitch in a game which requires Firewall. I used the NoRoot Firewall. But it doesn't work for me, When I click turn off the internet access. It doesn't turn it off. I also tried it with YouTube it doesn't work either. I decided to install AFWall+ It works like once but when I tried to turn it off it sometimes said "error purging iptables" Is there any way to fix it?
Post lacks information to even guess .
Why don't you just disable wifi/data useage from app info settings?
Just a toggle to enable or disable internet iseage of a specific app.
