upgrate unlocked htc touch

Good morning. Very useful site. I have a equation. I will buy a used and unlocked HTC touch. The mobile has English rom. HTC has upload some update software. Can I install those updates or I must install the update from this site (xda.developers.com) in order to avoid problems? Is there something I must know about the upadate unlocking htc mobile.

hi,
i have been unlocked my htc tp 2 from t mobile, but now i want to upgrade its rom software to the later rom version from t mobile, and it said "Installing this update will erase all data stored on the device, restoring your HTC Touch Pro2 (T-Mobile) to the factory default settings."
is my htc tp 2 will locked again if i upgrade the rom software??

i have upgrade my tp2 from t mobile with the latest rom from t mobile...
but i wonder, i cant uprade my tp2 with other stok rom like RUU_RHODIUM_AF_21903.rar, that change the home tab.
what should i do?

It wont re-lock your device.

Also Hard SPL? to "remove" vendor lock???

I tried to flash this rom last week. The phone is not entering even boot loader now. I am planning to use RIFF box to unbrick. Can you please help me with the JTAG pinouts?

can confirm that the htc one exists. i sent in my mozart for warranty claim and it came back preloaded with 7720.68 with the usual htc apps (htc hub/notes/etc)

Is this for updating the firmware on the HD7 to utilise compass etc in Mango apps?
I have an O2 branded HD7 that is updated to Mango RTM / final using ansar's techniques, but I didn't get the firmware update along the way. How would I go about installing this, will it work for an O2 branded device?

If u did like what ansar did, u just have 7720 ISV beta final build... U have to use Mangoforall2.0 or provision... To get update to 7403 ISV then 7220 ISV... But then, u have to run Connection setup quickly (if u want to keep jb with your CustClear.provxml in Window of your HD7)... Then will have a quick Update, i couldn't see update name, just the something like "clean"...after that, about 1', will have HTC update and and bravo U have got 7720 Official I try by ansar way about 5 time( and never have official 7720... Then, i use Mangoforall2.0, run update.bat and now, I have 7720 official with still jailbreaking

Hi, I adding the correct provisioning (back to retail) on my phone (using ansars tools) and this HTC Update appeared for me in Zune without any trickery. Problem solved! And it retained Chevron unlock afterwards.
Watch out though for an update in marketplace for Connection Setup as this may overwrite the chevron provisioning on your phone, you'll need to apply chevron provisioning again in case of future relock.

I tried to install that on my T-Mobile HD2 wh Zune-installed Mango and it errored out. The update failed.

This is for Europe .
For sea the same update is 2250.21.50001.728
The upgrade failed because , the update is not compatible with yr region phone.
Unless u are running a custom euro based rom

errors with hd2
same problem here with hd2 running xbmod and mango 7740.
i am located in germany but cant send this to the device

My phone goes through the update installation and gives error at finish "not enough room on device". It was reset before update ??

Does It work correctly? Are there more forms to update my phone?
