I read books on my kindle app, magazines and books from nook app, library books via overdrive app. I much prefer using a rooted nook (running MIUI rom).

whoever root their kindle fire, can u copy from /data/app - netflix and hulu app and email it to me alexus gmail
thanks
Are you asking for the .apk files for those apps? Those apps are free at the Amazon AppStore, so you don't need to be rooted to get them.

What's wrong with your app store? If you can't use your AppStore, Google the apps and sideload them. I'm pretty sure they won't be hard to find since they are free.

Amazon AppStore automatically deletes those .apk files once it installes the app. Also the Marketplace does not show these apps so this is the best I can do.

You can email them to yourself, or setup dropbox. I personally recommend dropbox, it rocks.

Box is just like dropbox but so much much better plus you get 50gb of storage space you can't beat that

I have some epubs and mobis on my computer that I really want to get in the Google books app. I love the way it displays text on the screen. Any help?
Sent from my Nexus 7 using xda app-developers app
You can't upload your own books to Google books, that's why I use kindle

I recommend fbreader (there are other options).
Kindle ui while reading the book is just worse than gbooks in my opinion. It doesn't use all of the screen, and the font is worse

Wonder what would happen if you loaded them into Google drive, ,maybe the application picker would come up if it detects the epub format. Just a shot in the dark

Use aldiko. Its free and reads most format. Works good for me.

I enjoy reading on my CM7 NC Kindle app. I use the dictionary often. Can the function of word look-up be accessed outside the Kindle app?

Do you mean any dictionary?
There is an app with a downloadable dictionary on the play store

Sure enough.

I believe the new Kindle app uses an external dictionary app, Websters dictionary. Should be able to now.
