how long should a single charge last on atrix? - Atrix 4G General

Hi guys, just wondering how long should a single full charge last on our atrix?
I came from ZTE blade, with data off I can easily get 2 days with light to moderate use.
However with my atrix, similar usage it lasts a day, day and a half if I'm lucky.
I think this is down to the atrix wakelock issue, afaik it's a common problem, could someone charity it as well?
Hope to hear from some other atrix users' experience.

On CM7 with Faux kernel running at 1.0GHz with minor UV I can get up to 40 hours dependant on usage. That's with data on all the time and WiFi on maybe 50% of the time. Two or three hours of the day I am listening to music over BT at work.
No videos or gaming. Just regular data usage, calls, texting, music, etc.

a day
10char

Depending on how heavily you use it, I've been getting between 1 and a half to 2 and a half days. Pretty good for an android phone. If I ever took the time to figure out undervolting I wouldn't be surprised if I could make it a full 3 days.

As my long time experience on my Atrix, I saw the various life time in different usage by periods of time that shared at below:
- Using just like a feature phone: 2.5 days
- Wifi continuously for web, facebook...: 6-7 hours (depending on how strong the wifi signal is)
- Using just like a music player continuously with internal store (offline) of songs: 12-18 hours (depending on how loud the speaker/earset sounds)
- Using continuously just like an online navigator with Google Maps on 3G connection on my car driving: 5-7 hours (depending on how strong the 3G signal is)
- Complex using in hundreds of days as my normal usage as both a phone and a PDA device, and this is right the most significant life time of a smartphone as you guys here mentioned is: 12-16 hours.
My usage in such a condition includes:
- Wifi online time spreaded over the working day at many points for email, web, facebook, chatting, including XDA ofcos
- Many incoming/outgoing voice calls, I've never made a count for number of calls a day, but I often am reported by the Calls Log Backup app operates in the background on my phone, its used to show 40-70 calls backed up at 10pm for me every day.
- 3G connection was always on and active at early morning while I was driving and at soft-break time at noon for 2 hours when I had lunch
- Few of music at a chance of quick relax that I often have in a working day.
Yeah, above is my real usage experiences on my AT&T Atrix. What about you guys here? Pls share

I get like 12-14 on cm7 beta2
Sent from my Atrix using XDA App

Moderate use gets me 36 hours on average. By moderate I mean about 100 texts, a few calls, 1-2 hours browsing, wifi always on, about an hour of music.
Sent from my MB860 using XDA App

i have been getting about 12 hours.. 3 hours on display though.

I just dont understand how is the atrix lasting less than 2 days when my zte blade (much smaller phone, but without the massive atrix battery) can easily last a day and a half...
what my problem with my atrix is standby time i guess, Ive just install CM7 with gapps, no extra apps and it dropped 10 % over night, it just wouldnt go to sleep properly..

I get about 20h with heavy usage, such as alot of games, texting all the time. When not using it much I can get 3 days easy with testing only and like 2 calls. I never use wifi.

What would you consider heavy usage?

I know a lot of people brag about great battery life, getting 20 hours or so of life, but really, unless you have a godly battery, I doubt with heavy usage you could get more than 6 hours of life.
I'm asking for opinions here, because I get about 2 and a half hours of Display usage before my battery dies.
Is this about normal? I'm sure the signal plays a part, as I average around 92 - 100 dBm signal in my city, which I know isn't very good.
I turn off my 3G whenever not in use, I have display set 30% brightness, auto-sync is off, gps, bluetooth, and sometimes I put the phone in airplane mode when signal is weak.
My point is, even with all the battery saving tricks, I get about no more than 2 hours and 30 minutes of Display usage, regardless of whether I'm playing a game or using the browser.
Running CM7, with Conservative, min 245, max 998 MHz as well, stock kernel.
What do you guys get?
Hit up the sprint CS chat. Complain about battery life. Ask them if they can comp you an extended battery. Took two tries but a csr refunded my battery purchase in full. In my case I bought first then asked for refund. Worst case you could just return it
i get about 3 hours screen on with stock and double with my chinese extended battery.
they're both more than enough for a full day. i dont see how i would be bored enough to be using my phone screen on for 3 hours in a whole day anyway haha.
i think some people consider playing music for a long time a "heavy" use of the battery which in my opinion isn't true. playing music barely drains anything when it's on for a few hours even with 3g.
but yeah i dont think the stock has enough juice for screen on more than 3 or 4 hours. i get 20 hours usage frequently but that doesnt mean the screen is on the whole time. in a day i probably play half an hour of games read news on the bus for 40 min to and back. read some news browse the web during lunch and listen to music throughout the day.
My opinion. About 100 texts, 15-20mins of angry birds 4G on, lots of web browsing. That's heavy usage.
With stock battery I get about 5-6hrs of heavy usage. On Myn RLS5 with #15 kernel. Moderate use (4G off but wifi on, no angry birds) I can get about 8-9 hrs with stock.
mmm... i dont use 4g so can take that out. I send about 300 texts, web browsing games all that stuff. get about 4.5 hours of screen on.
Heavy use to me is prob checking Facebook and twitter at least 3 times an hour. Receiving 2-5 email an hour from 2 different accounts GMail and Exchange. Playing Angry Birds, The Sims 3 and Bistro cook around an hour combined for all of these.
Reception at my job is not that great so I get around 4-6 hours if I am using it a lot. If I turn off the 3G when im not using it then I can get much more life out of my battery.

bad reception = crap battery
My 'heavy use'
usually everyday I have work which is 4-6 days a week.
Over 350 texts a day (incoming and outgoing)
3 hours total gps/navigation
about 20-30 mins of total talk time
oc'd to 1.228ghz
about 2.5 hours of 4g ON
gps on entire time
live wallpaper always on (nexus revamped pro, fps is at 32, speed at 150)
used multiple apps (psn, xda, mx moto game, setcpu, 7 widgets total)
use flashlight app on high settings for maybe 1 min total time
screen brightness is always at 100%
I get anywhere from 7-9 hrs total time unplugged, I usually have about 10% left when taking these numbers.
I bet I could get a pretty good number if I underclock and turn auto brightness on.
My heavy use:
Get to work at ten
browse almost nonstop
text in between
youtube a few times
...on the charger by 2
Like someone else said, low reception kills batts.
3+ hours a day of Words With Friends.
Guilty as charged!
I get 4.5 hours every day of listening to Mike and Mike in the morning on the new ESPN radio app. I also check facebook several times...and get a few texts. But im sure the 4.5 straightforward hours of streaming is what does the damage.
I stream Radioio.com on my phone for about 5-6 hours a day while I'm at work.....I have the extended battery...and when I get home, I have to toss it on the charger Good thing I have unlimited data....

What rom are you running. Op is on cm I heard it was hard in the battery as is. I finally upgraded to a extended battery. The extra size isn't bad and you wont regret doing it.

I assume the bad reception must be the worse offender to my battery. I wasn't complaining or anything anyway, I was simply curious.
I have the stock battery, and 2 extra batteries for heavy usage. I primarily use my phone at work, as sometimes business is very slow and I rely on my phone entirely too much for entertainment.
I've been told my usage is moderate to heavy:
MikFroYo 4.5
MS79723's SBC #15 v7
Slayer's Cyan Dragon Theme
4g always on
gps only on when using Foursquare or Maps, otherwise off.
200-300 texts
5-10 minutes of phone calls
1/2 to an hour of angry birds
half a dozen feedr news widget articles I'll use the browser to read
30 minutes of general web browsing
Check e-mail several times
check calender once a day
Stream some music on Subsonic (only when I'm in the car but I have a car charger so I don't count this).
Check fantasy hockey leagues three times a night when there's games on
Check facebook/update status many times
Sometimes I'll use wireless tether and there's a chuck norris app I'm fond of, but that's not everyday. The kernel undervolts, I don't keep my screen on unless i'm doing something and with the SBC I get normally around 12-17 hours a day if I don't tether or dilly dally too much. Since I have a car charger and I charge at home when I'm in the shower or sitting at my desk, my phone rarely drops below 50% on my average day.
If I were in an office, I'd connect the phone to charge to my computer and the car charger has been invaluable. I highly recommend charging it whenever it's just sitting there (even if it's streaming something).
That's how I get through my day

Almost 30+ hours == EC01 + SuperClean 2.9.2

I again wanted to say thank you to all involved in making the Fascinate the best phone it can be.
I have instantly noticed a considerable battery life improvement using this radio.
Just thanks.
And juice defender doesn't hurt either..
You must not be using your phone at all, mine only gives my around 7 hours.
Really? Only 30 hours? My white fascinate could go for 3 days with light usage and 2 with moderate. I bet you it could last for 4 days if I didn't do anything but text or call people. Oh and don't use battery apps, they don't do crap honestly. The only thing that kills your phone is games and the screen being on. But if you use your stock Froyo task manager then you're good.
I am confused a little but mostly dissapointed in how people report usage and battery life around here. I think for the most part it is simply a result of how subjective the term "use" is defined in all it's various "states". For instance what I consider "heavy usage" might be beyond what a lot of people would consider to even be reasonably expected. On the other hand you can have another person who thinks using their phone once for a few minutes every hour is heavy usage. Some seem to be reporting standby time like it is normal usage, which depending on your definition could be true. Some people seem to be obviously "lengthening" their "epeen" for some unknown sad reason which is the part that is dissapointing.
I can say, once, I left mine on after using it all day Friday, set it on a table at home and I can't remember why but I didn't touch it again till Sunday afternoon. It literally only used a few percent battery life. This is abnormal usage to me. This might be "normal" for some people.
Some people like myself are device addicts. I don't go anywhere without my phone. I rarely make calls on it. I rarely use my powerful desktop for any casual pc use like web surfing, IRC, listening to music, personal gmail and work email via exchange. I do all of that on my phone. My day consists of picking up the phone fully charged at 7:30am, at work by 7:45, and then once in my cube the headphones get plugged in and between voodoo sound and power amp I get pretty lost in the tunes. All the while I am getting constant email delivery notices. I probably look something up on my phone a few times a day. It is on wifi all day at work and home.
Once home I stay on it after dinner....once the kids are away, the wife and I sit in the living room and she on her laptop and me on my phone we kinda watch shows together while surfing or whatever. So hours of constant use in the evening. My screen is on a lot because I don't go long without doing something on it.
I have recently been getting around 14-18 hours if I run it to dead on the 2.9.2 + latest Voodoo sound enabled kernel floating around but was on eb01 radio. I flashed ec01 radio tonight hopefully to see better battery life but there's no way in hell I would be expecting anything close to 30 hours or days!? Not unless I laid my phone down and walked away for a few days, then sure. I consider myself to be a fairly heavy user.

In my case Syn Ack is right about the screen. This past weekend I gave my phone a real test. I put EC01 on, got rid of most of the bloat and left the phone in that state. Didn't install any extra apps that would run in the background. Only had 1 home screen with nothing on it but a black wallpaper. The phone looks boring as ****. lol
From what I saw, the only things eating battery was having the screen on, a small bit of time with no signal, followed by android system and any other apps I may have used which didn't make up much compared to the screen.
I love the screen, but it's like a high maintenance girlfriend. Its sucking the life outta this phone.

That's pretty much par for the course. The screen is always the biggest battery drain in any phone out there, out of any piece of hardware in any phone. Trying to keep the screen's brightness as low as possible, and it off whenever you don't need it on, are probably the best things you can do to improve your battery life (followed by deleting crappy widgets like the Facebook one that keep your network up constantly).
Then again, I set my screen to have a 2 minute timeout, because the 15 or so second default way too often caused the screen to turn off on me while I was reading something and I generally use the power button to turn it off when I'm done. I figure, as long as I can make it till night, that's good enough for this phone 95% of the time (the other 5%, I can generally plan ahead).
I honestly don't see poor battery life as in issue for this phone.
Mine will last for 3 days of extremely light usage, 2 days with light-ish usage, and if I hammer on it and play some games, 14 hours or so, it'll beep at me.
IMO, this is not an issue. I have seen the battery life increase with the latest updates (OC Kernel from imnutz, SFC2.9.2, EC01 radio) - and I was happy before.
I also don;t think that you can really count on what other people see as anything but a hopeful ballpark figure. We all know that each of the phones HW is a little different. We all know that our setups vary greatly. We all know that we use the phone differently.
So, hoping that something will be a be all, end all guide as to how long your phone will stay powered depends on so many variables that you have to tweak it for your use.
FWIW, I run live wallpaper, 7 screens and use OC steps up to 1400 and I am very pleased, dare I say impressed with the life I get out of the phone. I also keep a spare battery fully charged - I guess this helps me care less and just ooh and ahh when it lasts more than a day.
Mine gets 150 hours...... Turned off.

With the phone sleeping (screen off), my battery drops at MOST 2% per hour. I don't use but a couple of widgets, Facebook and weather. My sync time for Facebook is 1 hour and weather is 2 hours.
For me, when I was referring to my 2-3 days of battery life:
Light usage (3 days): a few phone calls a day, < 25 texts, no internet, no market, no games, no battery control apps except using Task Manager wisely.
Moderate usage (2 days): regular phone calls, < 50 texts, some internet, maybe a game or 2 but not for long, Task manager.
Heavy usage (1.5 days): regular phone calls, texting all the time, heavy internet, games, rom flashing, playing music a bunch.
Super ridiculously heavy (1 day): phone/text/internet/games/music, all nonstop heavy usage.
Super light (3+): Data (3G) off, a couple calls, light texting, using Task manager wisely. It can happen...
One thing I have come to find out is that not only your screen is the number 1 factor but if you live in an area that phases your phone in and out of 3G very often, your phone could easily drain 10% per hour. The IT building here on my campus has god awful reception and it drains at 10% per hour but when I go home I only see 1-2% not doing anything at all. Wifi is a battery drainer too.
There were a few nights where I remember hitting task manager and clearing out every single task and everything possible running, turning off data, and turning the screen off and the phone did not even lose 1% of battery over 9 hours. Perfect reception.
So if you see terrible battery, try using your screen a little less, or turn down the brightness. Try a *228 for your radio towers update. Cell standby can you get hard if you're in bad reception.
The best thing you could do to save your battery is kill all of your tasks, turn off data, turn your screen off, and change your sync intervals to 1hour+.
i'm on ec01 for about 12 hours now, sFc, in nemesis OTB kernal underclocked using volt settings gives me about a 8 hours with the amount of usage I put it through. Serious wifi, network usage, processor spiking and multi-tasking. Overall what one would expect from android.

Battery Life Claims - What to really expect

I have owned my SGS for around 9 months now, and have been downloading roms and tweaks from xdadevs for around 8 months for my SGS. There have been countless times where I have seen claims of batter life extending to 2-3 days, I have even seen claims of 4/5 days!
These claims are ridiculous, particularly if you utilise you smart phone as a SMART PHONE, and these claims are also hugely misleading to newbies. When I first started using XDA and read about 2-3 days battery life I was worried about my phone or battery being faulty. After using the phone for a few weeks and flashing countless roms I realised that around 7 to 10% is NORMAL if you utilise your smart phone for what it is.
The people who do get 2-3 days battery life why do you own a £300 phone and use it like a £10 nokia 1100?
A smart phone has so many features for a reason - they are to be used.
My day to day use on Juwe's Smart Edition v4.3.1 XWJVH Based On Official 2.3.3*
3G/H on
about 1 hour of calls
push email for three email accounts
live wall paper
a couple of widgets which download data every 3 hours
some gaming
approx 30-50 texts a day
whatsapp
liveprofile
1-2 hours music
automatic brightness
This sort of use will give me 10-12 hours battery life.
Can anyone who do claim heavy use and get 2-3 days battery life detail their use and set-up to justify claims of heavy use and make it clear to newbies what REALLY to expect from their smart phone.
Remember, this phone has an array of brilliant feature which have been made to be utilised.
I'm a similar user and i have to say I've never had more then 13hr max and i use my phone all day every day for everything so I agree with you 13 hr is about right and i thank you for putting my mind at ease

I have pretty much the same usage but I only switch to 3g when I need it (and not using live wallpaper because i find it distracting). 1.5-2 days battery easy.
48 hours of battery for me
Juwe's 4.3.1 based on JVH
3g/h on 24/7
wifi, gps, auto rotate on 24/7
2 hours of calls at least a day
30 to 50 sms daily
no widgets, i prefer a slick apearance
no live wallpaper
4 accounts with push from 9am to 6pm auto check every 15 minutes the rest of the time
1 hour of FM radio everyday
at least 30 minutes gametime everyday if not more
lots of internet usage
twitter : sync's every 1o minutes
facebook : sync's every 4 hours
sms/call log backup every 6 hours
watchdog software running 24/7
sync to dropbox of apps/sms/calllog/camera pictures every 12 hours
Nice post...
In total agreeance with you. I am also a user of the phone and find it silly to have to turn stuff off or go into airplane mode at night, etc. I want to use my phone and not make it an exercise in restraint.
I've also noticed that, for my use, the battery life is pretty consistent. I get about 2 days with everything on, and fairly light use. There is no 'magic' tweak that will double it and stuff like calibrating and erasing battery stats make little difference. What makes the difference is how you use it... Overclocking, bright screens, games... the more you use the less battery life you have. Use the phone, that's what it's for.
Half a day with that much use is OK... for the people who don't want to risk hooking to a charger often or on the move, I suggest buying a rechargeable portable battery pack which when plugged into the phone can recharge without AC mains; so you have a portable charger always around to fill up the phone juice whenever needed.
+1 - I've checked a lot of roms and kernels. Max I had - around 16 hours. But usually it's around 11-12 hours.

Oh, come on, how difficult is for people to understand this?. You have a device with a 1 GHz CPU, a 4" AMOLED screen, 3G, Wifi, bluetooth radios.. Everything uses power, the more things you use, the more power it takes.
Of course if you have the screen off, WiFi off, 3G data off, bluetooth off, no data sync, not make phone calls... the phone can last one week on standby.
If you're USING the phone, the standard battery will drop 20% every hour or so. I've seen the battery gone down to 10% in a few hours. Battery hogs are in approximate order:
- Screen (even on low brightness)
- 3G data traffic
- Wifi traffic (wifi ON but no traffic has low impact)
- GPS on
- GPU (3D games)
- Voice traffic (screen is off during calls, does not take much power)
Smart using the smartphone
3-4 days for me.
And no, I'm not using it as a Nokia 1100.
Have wifi turned on all the time so it automatically connects to home & work wifi when in range. I check the news every morning for about 10-15min @home when drinking my cafe and have a smoke before leave to work. Sync is ON, k-9 mail checking emails, GO Weather and other apps using data from time to time.
Couple of calls everyday, 5-10min total (I don't say stories on the phone).
I don't listen music from the phone (if I wanna do that I'll use the mp3 player which is built for that and can run 6-7h with a single AAA accu. Also I have a car radio and winamp on the work computer so why use the phone for such?)
Yes, it's a smartphone and I use it as a smartphone. Wonder if some users are as smart as their phone to use it properly.
as mentioned a few times before, for what the phone is capable of, amoled screen, wifi, gps, 3d gaming, mp3 player and so on. you can expect the battery to drain quick.
battery life dont bother me, ive always got a place to charge if needed, and i do abuse my phone, so its expected,
the makers are trying to cram all these goodies into a small compact phone, leaving not much room for a huge battery to power it all.
there are replacement batteries on ebay 3000Mah really big, and they come with the SGS back case to fit it, it doesnt look too bad really. and if battery is a big issue for you, invest in one. they are not too expensive and will give you juice when its really needed.
probably would work out cheaper than paying for apps to monitor and improve battery life....
if the SGS came with a battery the size of your fist, you would be complaining at that too.... even if it lasted a month on 1 charge lol
EDIT: 3500mah battery - http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/3500MAH-EXTRE...ltDomain_3&hash=item2eb38b347a#ht_2326wt_1139

How Is the Battery Life on HTC EVO 4G?

hows the battery life on the HTC EVO 4G with bluetooth, gps, wifi, email alerts and notifications all turned off?
I find the battery life to be right on par with other Android smart phones, and I always have mobile data/notifications on. Wifi seems to increase battery life.
Its pathetic in my book compared to my previous htc phones. About 3 to 4 hours use and its dead. Pathetic.
pretty crappy. don't buy in to all these ppl saying "it lasts me 2 days etc etc" either cuz they don't actually use their phones
I have a stock 2.3.3. Yesterday, after 9 hours on battery with minimal usage (a few games of pew pew) I was about 30%. Today I used it a little more and was about 60% before lunch. Depends on your usage.
It's aiite. I get 1 day and 2 hours on my fone with moderate usage... Depends what rom and kernal your using.
If you have 4g on all day and are constantly playing games prolly 5 hours. If you use it as a phone and not an xbox then you can get a full day out of it easy. My brother leaves 3g on all day and plays a few games and still has 10% after 15 hours...

like others have said...depends...
i always have all 4g or 3g on, gps, wifi, bt, and screen high brightness...
i get a few hours, but for ME that's fine, as i'm always plugged in.
if i remember to dump bt and 4g when im at home, i'll maybe get a little more.
went to nyc to walk around last week...it was dead by noon, which was an inconvenience since i couldnt charge...
O
Honestly, it's terrible. There are steps you can take, however, that can get it "average" or "acceptable".
And like someone above said, don't listen to all these people saying they get 2+ days out of their phones.... they either
a) have an extended battery
b) use their phone light~moderate usage

using a Sense ROM and chatting on my phone all day using talk, streaming music, and checking email on 3 accts, I get an entire workday and then some out of my phone. I take my phone off the charger at 7am and don't put it on again until after 10pm. At that point I still have about 20-30% left.
I keep GPS and BT off unless I am using it, the Always On Mobile Data is disabled, and I use WiFi at home and work.
As some people stated, it depends on usage.
I asked the same question the other day..60 views no replies...because everyone was raving about the awesome battery life on Kingdom_signed_062311_194639.zip but I get under 4 hrs because my screen is on alot playing the "word" game. Seems thats about right for heavy use.
My phone has been unplugged for 10hrs now and I'm at 32%, I mostly talk between 2 to 3hrs a day, check emails, facebook, play games through out the day, text, but I keep everything off til I want to use it except data is on all the time, I keep all updates turned off I do updates as I choose, I'm happy with it plus I keep a fully charged battery with me anyway

hi, josh.. what if i turn off everything (BT, wifi, email alerts, notifications, and reduced brightness).. and talk for 2 hours straight. listen to mp3 for 45 minutes. play a word game for 30 minutes. do you think that the battery will last 24 hours?

*sigh*
You people need a lesson on reading comprehension. No where in my post did I say that I don't like the Evo... So why would I get another phone?
I said that the battery life sucks, which it does. Especially if your phone isn't rooted.
Also, I feel bad for you: only 15 hours with an extended battery!? LOL that's terrible. I use a Sense ROM (Fresh3.5) with netarchy-more-havs (don't know the version number) and I get at least 20 hours with moderate~heavy usage, on the stock battery.
When I'm using MIUI with Tiamat & ViperBoy's undervolt scripts, I get over 24 hours with moderate~heavy usage. I have no doubt that if I had an extended battery, I could get 2+ days.
P.S.
I will be getting another phone. Preferably the iPhone when (if?) it drops on sprint, or a mango windows phone 7 device. If neither of those happen, galaxy s II it is...
It's terrible. Heavy usage I get 2 maybe 2 and a half hours. If you don't use it much, the standby time should be enough to get you through the day. I remember streaming the world cup on Sprint Espn and it barely made it past one 2 hour game before it became totally dead. Don't know how some say they get 5 plus hours on 4g running under heavy usage. I think their idea of heavy usage is much different than mine.
I'm on kinged kingdom nightlys sense 3.0..I get 10+ hrs with heavy use!! Calkulins Undervolt script..ROM is insane fast, with moderate use I avg 1day 9-11hrs..haven't hit two day mark with moderate use thou..working on it. STOCK battery! Make sure ur SD card is partitioned correctly. Optimize your RAM..the smoother and more stable the ROM,the better battery life, cuz your phone won't be struggling to function properly!!

Does Moto X Pure get you through the day without charging

No SOT screenshots. Just yes or no answer. You can elaborate on your daily usage to give people an idea about how it does or does not allow you to get through the day.
If you used the phone normally for 10 days, and it failed to get you through your day for 1 of those 10days, your answer is still No. Exclude the days when you forgot to charge your phone.
PS: I use the words "normal" day. It means that you were not explicitly hell bent on killing the battery and hell bent on answering No here....
Absolutely. Normal usage for me is web browsing, social media, checking the forums, maybe a couple YouTube videos, email, texting and phone calls. I'll charge it up at 8pm, pull it off the charger around 9pm and be good to go until the next evening.
You'll get yes and no's. Everyone has a different uses each and every day. It could be yes one day, no the other. Yes for majority of the day or no. It all depends on what they're using it for that day.
If you're gauging to see if it would get you through the day, the only real true answer is for you to use it for yourself based on how you use it.

Pretty much my usage except mine comes off the charger in the morning. I've gone from a super heavy user in years past (ROMing and flashing all day long) to a light-average user. Texting, couple social media visits. A forum or two and maybe a video here and there. I could get 2 full days usage with this phone easily.
It's about on-par with my, recently sold, HTC One M9... And I'd say a little better than my sons Galaxy S6, which I had to use recently when between phones so I have a pretty good ideal of what it's battery life is like.
The MXP has really good standby time.... It usually drops about 1% per hour. Last night I forgot to plug it in and it only dropped 5% in about 7.5 hours.

I changed the rule to include the historical data. If it ever failed to get you through your normal day, its a No. Excluding the days when you failed to charge.

mine lasts all day for me. Went to bed last night and had 34% i dont do allot of gaming mostly browse facebook or instagram send texts and stuff light stuff.
Yes! Couldn't do it with my Nexus 6, but definitely doable with this Moto X Pure. I do some light to moderate gaming on light/medium duty games (Battle Command, SimCity, Clash of Clans mainly), watch Netflix, Hulu, and YouTube, and do quite a bit of web browsing and texting with some calls. I'm typically left with ~22% at the end of the day when I'm headed to bed. I'll stream some more and by the time I get the 15% low battery warning, I'm already half asleep and it's time to sleep. My day typically goes from about 9 am to 11 pm.
Yes. I come off the charger at about 8am and it goes back on around 10-11pm. My day is spent in a delivery truck most times, so I use chrome to pull up addresses, and maps to see where I'm going. I don't normally use turn by turn, though. This usually accounts for about 1.5-2 hours of SOT. The rest of my 4ish hours is spent browsing with chrome and some email and YouTube. A little Facebook and Flipboard here and there also. WiFi, Bluetooth, data, all Moto Assist stuff is on except the lift to ear for voice commands and NFC. Since my day is spent mostly outside, and even though my brightness is around 20%, with adaptive turned on, the auto brightness still cranks it up to a readable level.
Happy with the battery life so far :good:

That's a lot of use IMO. Good to know that you are able to use this phone normally and get through the day.
I'm already down to 45% after five hours of my normal usage. My Note 3 was much better than this. Wondering if I might have a bad battery/unit.

How long have you had it? I've had mine since last Friday (9/11) and am finding the battery has improved greatly the last few days.
Yes. Got mine 6 days ago. Unplug at 4:30AM, 1 hour of music at the gym (bluetooth on 15 minutes to and from gym - 30 min total), about 3-3.5 hrs SOT and plug in at 10pm with about 15% left.

Yeah, hopefully you'll start to see some improvement
MOTO X PURE EDITION!
Battery
I can now give a good answer to this question. I have had the Samsung Galaxy S6 for 3 months. I barley
got through a day. This is with most options turned off. I sync exchange server for work, surf web, stream
satellite radio, BT connection to car, 50/50 wifi and cell connection, calls and txt all day.
With the Motto X Pure 2015 I have about 40% more power at days end than the SGS6. Typical day:
Off charger 6 AM, to 11 PM. SGS6 generally about 25%, Moto X around 35 - 40%. I haven't even begun to
start tweaking.
I can also say the Moto X is smoother than the SGS6 even though the processor is a little less than
the Moto X. Its the Touchwiz that kills it. Pure Android is heaven!
CC
I know for a fact that more than 25 people have had this phone for 1 week (or even more). Where are you folks? Please vote.
Mine gets me through a typical workday. I only use about 1 hrs SOT throughout the day, and have about 60% left after 8 hours. As soon as I start using this at night, I probably only last until about 9 or 10, ending w/ about 3-3 1/2 hrs SOT...
