[Q] Touch lag!!!! - Huawei Ideos X5 U8800

Hi i dont know if anyone has mention this but the u8800pro has a major touch lag issue .I have the u8800pro with latest 2.3.5 update from huawei and using multitouch vis test the phone lags like crazy my finger is on the right and the phone(blue or red ball)show is on the left.I used to own a u8800 simple with oxygen and it had far less lag is it fps issue can anyone help me?????

maybe try juewe11 or supercharger script. i dont have these problems with same phone.
Sent from my ragelis

no
i have tried both of them no they are not fixing my problem,i am talking about the screen is not following my finger if i go quick if i go slow then it does.Does anyone has a solution?
its exactly like that \watch?v=szOje7dcRlo&feature=related
maybe if we removed fps cap???
and wouldnt be great if it was li that ---->>>>/watch?v=qSAjW3m8n2k&feature=related

Use genokolar's overclock kernel and use SetCPU to set the governor to Smartass2. I don't know how it affects battery life, but I don't have the annoying touch problem anymore

done that
I have done that too maybe if you see the videos you will understand what i am talking about.Cant we cap the FPS higher like on the second video isnt it great??IS you phone following your finger like that??

Ah, I see what you mean, sorry. All I know regarding FPS: genokolar's enhanced.conf has an FPS option; however, Google Translate isn't good on the Chinese text so I don't know if I want that option on or off. You can put "debug.gr.swapinterval=0" in build.prop to unlock the FPS, albeit with tearing. There's also this funny thread. Sorry I can't be of more help

Exactly
Yes the thread from miui is exactly what i am talking about when i had the u8800 the fps capped at 45fps and there was considerably less lag.Instead the u8800pro caps at 30fps giving it a major touch response delay.I believe if we could cap it at 55 it would be smooth like butter but that guy hasnt attach the critical file maybe Geno can do something about it.or a chinese friend can help us to download the file and give us instructions on how to use in in this site "http://www.5irom.com/thread-6965-1-1.html" If it was uncapped i have read it becomes jerky.Anyway i will have to wait, thanks for the response.

Waiting for this!! Sometimes the touch lag is very annoying

ALL ok
ok i found the solution i installed cm7 from genokolar and the the zip, maybe its incompatible with stock rom I highly recommend it if it works for you please dont forget to thanks!!

Overclocking Opal 100

OVERCLOCKING LEADS TO MEMORY LEAKS AND CAN BE SEVERE IN SOME CASES.PLEASE OVERCLOCK AT YOUR OWN RISKS
I have tried Overclocking my Opal 100 at various clockspeeds on a WM6.5 ROM,Build 21889..but i seem to NOT have got the correct clockspeed coz i am experiencing frequent problems with my ROM.Current clockspeed is set to 264MHz,but the program memory shoots up when the device escalates in tym after a soft reset....Any 1 having overclocked his device and is HAPPY with the feedback Opal is giving, please mention the clockspeed with the current ROM version...thanks.
Device has been overclocked with OMAP CLOCK PLUS...here's the link if any1 needs to test it...{If you want to overclock your Viva, download the cab file from here:

And then follow the guide on this website:

yes.....im ultimately happy..using omap clock....and omap clock keep....opal is always on 276mhz....havent ever heard of or experienced a memory leak..
I'm stable @ 252 MHz with Jagan's Evo2 ROM for 2 months now!
However, I'll try to run it @ 264 MHz to get rid of the camera noise problem. I will reply to this thread with the results. I won't test it at 276 MHz, at least not in the summer anyway!
Please if you overclock your device, tell us the speed and the program you're using.

What kinda of performance difference do you see at 276 as compared to normal clock speed in evo 2?

lol. K thanks
Oh and i found a problem with the latest OMAPclock in that linik,
So i have uploaded a decent one.
I just had to report this, I found a really weird solution to the Windows Media Player, Playlist bug (EVO 2 and 2.5) (Have reported this in that thread as well but thought posting it here will do some good too.). lol. Overclocking!
For some odd reason my device volume has also shot up, (without any distortion wat so ever), side effects of overclocking?

u guys are asking difference when overclocked ..lol ..
touch flo is very much faster...
can play call of duty 2..
mobile shell is faster..
can play games from omnigsoft...and so on goes the list

No i am not using SRS WOW HD. I don't like that software. and I dint say that whatever happened to my phone was a bad thing so its not a culprit, i would rather call it a social service software. (lol).

I finally found some courage to test my device @ 276 MHz. The test was successful so far, no problems, and no excess heat. And the camera problem is gone.
At this frequency I can actually feel the performance difference, as the device becomes more responsive and fluid.
Just tried the 276MHZ. VIVA become super fasts... Everything is very sippy. Nice, thanks for the help. I am with default OS

New WF user, couple of questions, discussion mainly about overclocking

Hi guys, i have an x10 but i recently got a new wildfire for my girlfriend.
I rooted it, installed wildpuzzle 2.2.1 rom and overclocked it to 691mhz which i reduced to 650mhz just to see if everything will be ok for a while.
Currently she's using htc sense, she says she likes it so i think i won't change it to launcher pro but i couldn't find the option to reduce the number of screen? From current 7, she only uses 3. How do i do that? and btw. did anyone try motonav gps? i'm using it on x10 but the resolution on WF seems waaay off when i run it. Any fix for that?
Also, the reason why i overclocked it is to be able to run angry birds better cuz she likes the game a lot. I have an overclocked computer for years and i know the affects on it over time but can the same principle apply on mobile phones? I'm not that familiar with those and i'm not really sure how the hardware reacts to higher cpu frequencies.
I have read in a couple of threads people saying that overclocking will "reduce our wildfire's life span."
I find that incorrect. Since the voltage of the chip remained the same there's nothing else that would indicate reduced life span other than temperature. And if the temperature reading from SetCPU is somewhat correct than in most cases i find it to be under 30c which i find completely acceptable.
Higher but stable frequency in itself cannot harm the cpu in any way, as far as my knowledge goes. Your thoughts?
Also since we are offered to choose between different but fixed frequencies i'm guessing overclocking/underclocking works on a multiplier principle. Meaning that only the multiplier is being changed for overclocking the cpu which would indicate that no additional strain on the motherboard is present. How do you think the memory reacts? is it also overclocked or does it have a fixed ratio?
O/Cing on the Qualcomm MSM 7225 on the Wildfire is mainly done by adjusting the CPU PLL only. There was a very detailed post I read about the very detailed process of overclocking this CPU here on XDA itself, cant seem to find it out now. Just look for it, if I find it again, I'll let you know.
Also, maybe OC'ing will reduce the lifespan, but, I am pretty sure before it dies out by oc'ing, we will have retired it anyway
thanks for your reply, i'll try to find that post then, it would be an interesting read for sure
any comments on sense screens or motonav?
Found it:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=656572
As for the number of Sense Screens, I do not think that it is possible to adjust it without using a 3rd party launcher as LP / ADW. As for motonav, it must be optimized for HDPI / MDPI resolution devices, which is why it must not display properly on the Wildfire, really, no idea here as well, Sorry.
that's ok, thanks for your input
i've read through the thread, things have changed since then but it does give an accurate representation of some things, interesting to see how people think
As for the MOtonav, it`s not available for the Wildfire, but there is a modified version of Igo that works on Qvga, PM me if interested.
nDrive
Hi Astral07,
I've used nDrive (http://www.appbrain.com/app/ndrive/com.ndrive.android) which works really well on our QVGA screen.
I haven't used it much so I can't vouch for the quality of the app but I can definitely confirm that in terms of the Wildfire screen it is 100% compatible
sounds good, i'll give it a try
@Alex_GP i've sent you a PM, cheers
hey guys, i'm having problems with launcher pro

You can't resize widgets with the free version.
hm, maybe i didn't explain correctly, the option is: Auto-fit items under homescreen settings
so you're saying launcher pro free is no good for wildfire and i have to buy a full version so that i can resize and make it work=?

[ROM] OEX

I don't have an u8800 but I did this for a friend.
I was unsure on whether to share it but oh hell, here we go.
This is Oxygen 17/08 + franco.Kernel 17/08 + Many tweaks I included.
So basically, Oxygen Express = OEX.
All credits go to dzo and whoever he credited on his own Oxygen thread
and franciscofranco for the kernel. In comparison to them, I did nothing.
Make sure to buy them a beer.
Main features (in contrast with Oxygen):
- EXT4 with proper mount options and no journalism
- Removed some applications (torch,terminal,download,talk,gmail,...)
- A thousand tweaks (no seriously, they are many, too many to list)
- zRAM enabled by default, Loopy Smoothness tweak, Auto-Zipalign
- Patched hosts, SE supl instead of Google, blah blah I'm tired already
Download:
Instructions:
- The usual.
Obs:
- It will format system, data and cache.
- Hint: switch to V(R) I/O Scheduler.
- There'll be no support, I don't have the phone, I did this for a friend.
- If you get stuck on boot, go back to recovery and use ADB to ls /system; if it's empty, well, it happens sometimes. Reflash.
- Don't thank me; thank dzo for the port and franciscofranco for the kernel. Moreover, if they want this thread closed, I will abide.
wow. just installed cm7 yesterday, will try this soon!
i'll try..thx 4 this noejn...
seems to rock it all!
will flash it soon!
Tried flashing 3 times after wiping data/cache/davlik doesn't boot at all..
Edit: On the 4th try and after waiting a while it booted! Will try it and report
Edit Again: 1st bug that i've reported at francokernel thread too is that hands free microphone is not working when you make a call. Unfortunately that's a big bug for me can't continue using it will flash some other rom..
3800 quadrant is kinda impressive. cpu at how much? thats after a clean install?
thanks very much ,i will try it later ,and i hope you can fix some bugs that all the third rom have in comman, such as wifi hot spot so on(sorry for my poor english)
and thank you again for what you have done to the X5 user
thanks , trying it now . Will post if there is any issue/bug .
''- Hint: switch to V(R) I/O Scheduler.'' wHAT do u mean by this?
I will try it now to see if works!
Ok...Flashed at 1st try, just did a quick quadrant @ 1.8 minMax and got a 3500... will further test today but seems that this is the pick for pure performance as is typical of Noejn work anyways... Obrigado!!
p.s (the antutu scores seem a bit low, especially Ram and cpu integer, @1.8 i got 3500 when i used to get 4k any ideas?)
p.s 2 (Wow... for some reason on my second round of tests @1.8 just had a 1000 points drop in both antutu and quadrant, strange.... Wich gov do u recommend Noej)
guys .. is oxygen still cant play 720p video ??? noejn , is there anyway to get it work ?? hard decode fail .
works for me until now no problems thank u!

Yep, my friend also told me Antutu dropped a bit.
Some of the tweaks aren't benchmarks friendly but as long as it is snappier (which I've been told it is), it's fine.
Anyone else having issues with android market app? it crashes everytime I try to install any apps.
Completely fresh install on a brand new phone (updated to b136 before installing this ROM)
Edit: Now it crashes when starting market filename: com.android.vending.
pretty cool mod!

Well, i flashed this rom.
It worked at the first try. im using it with InteractiveX: 614-1209 mhz, no freezes or reboots. The amrket works also well. I have a +200 pionts in antutu compared to the normal oxygen. so: Thank you Noejn
But i have 1 problem^^: i cant change my wallpaper :d can you help me? it says that its changing but after thaht its the same wallpaper^^
here I can get E-mail default app?
Ok sorted my stuff out.. just another issue what amss is this rom on ? 162?

[Q]Max FPS for X5 in some benchmark.

I want to know something about X5 max FPS. My phone have just repaired from flickering screen (LCD changed). I want to know the max FPS that you can get from some benchmark like Quadrant and Neocore. My Ideos X5 before repaired got max 30 FPS, and after repaired it get 45 FPS max. How about your's?
Maybe you got a rom upgrade too, your settings etc gone when you got it back?
What rom did you have before and what do you have now?

Adding debug.gr.swapinterval=0 to build.prop unlock the speed cap. BTW any one know how to lock the FPS to 60?
yes..it can make the phone smooth. games like fruit ninja will be more smooth.
but i dont know how to unlock the fps crap.i tried to ask franco for help, but he didnt reply me.

There is a command, Franco remove it, because people didnt like it. I dont have build enviroment, so i can build franco kernel with it. Maybe someone who has can.

Gta 3 ON DORIMANX ROM
Has anyone tried GTA 3 on Dorimanx rom . If yes than please tell me which version you are using and which kernel . Ineed to play that game very badly .
Thanks for the descriptive title
GTA3 will not work very well on any HD2 ROMs, it simply isn't very playable. Even on the lowest possible settings I got lag

If you've seen it on a video, I would love to see the link But I was at the time using Typhoon CM7 with Dorimanx's kernel, and on the lowest settings it ran somewhat smoothly, but was unplayable due to the terrible graphics and the fact that the HD2's screen only registers 2 points.
