Touchscreen pen problem - Galaxy Note GT-N7000 General

Guys need some help as you can see on the picture the stylus can't draw on the right screen side. On normal view. As you start on the top of the screen with a small pen size you can draw as you go down you go away from the edge of the display and it leaves a space not colored. I was on the shop I bought it the Note they have for the public has the same issue. Dunno if it is only those or all devices they offered a exchange of the device but I want again the 14 days money back guarantee. So if the issue sustains I could make my mind and replace the note or get money back.
here are some SS DONT use S memo to check it .

I dont really understand what you are trying to show us with those pics
But I can tell you when the charger is plugged in, the bottom right area of my screen (the area just below where the sms shortcut original sits) cannot detect touch. But if I unplug the charger everything becomes ok again so i didnt really bother.
Does the problem occur during charge?

it did after updating the phone to 2.3.6 but after some tries with finger i used the pen pen was working but not the finger so i did unpluged it restarted it and at end now i didn't have the problem at all
As for my problem
I pick a pic to edit with photo editor with the PEN on normal view not landscape view. I pick a small size pen when i go and try to color the right side with it, it leaves a small gap from the edge it can draw till the edge where the photo is. on top of the right side the GAP isnt there i can draw there but as i go down the gap comes and as i go down the gap comes.
added another photo and here is a link to DB so you can DL it and zoom in if u cant see the gap on this site !

The OP can't draw with his S-PEN at the right side because there's about 1mm as far I can see that it's not drawable.
Braxos from the attached screenshot above I can see the it just not drawable with the S-PEN but it shows everything else correctly, right? I mean you don't lose 1mm on everything in the right side, correct?

i found where the problem is with the calibration of the S pen or should i say with the bumbass of scripter who made the S PEN software. He didnt move the point of recognition from the S PEN but he moved the WHOLE Recognition area when you switch to Left- Right hand you can check it. When i switch to left hand i get a GAP of 2-3 MM from the left side.
As i said the Dumbass made not the pen to move lets say from 1,1 to 1.1,1.05 but insteed he MOVED the Axes X,Y on the Display position !!!!!!!!!! so i guess it is a Software problem even i am not 100% sure because at least on my phone the Right side has a ANGLE not straight aka parallel to the Edge of the phone !!!

I have a very strange problem with my pen. In all Remote Desktop programs and only in them if I touch the screen, it deletes everything.

Another Multitouch example

Hmmm... I just saw the idea of "multitouch" and played a bit with it.
So I made a program that shall show how a picture viewer could work...
Usage:
Put your stylus on the position you want the upper left corner of the rectangle to be. Don't move it. Then put another stylus (or pencil) on the place you want the lower right corner to be. You can now move the lower right corner. But don't move the first stylus, else it won't work...
This is only an example. No useful program
Net CF 3.5 required (maybe 2.0 works, too? )

Wow...Wonderful !! and so ....why not making something like on the iphone with this multitouch ? ^^
this is great
A pictureviewer like this is possible, but you can only move one finger and not - like with an iPhone - two fingers. So you place one finger and then stretch the picture with your other finger. So its not so intuitive. Another problem is that both fingers have to push with the same pressure, else its not exact. You might have seen this in my application.
pretty good ... i hope that we will have a lot of aplications with multitouch !

Zooming in Browser - TF vs Laptop

In Firefox on my laptop some applications enlarge vertically instead of horizontally. In other words, when I enlarge the text the right and left boundries stay within the screen. The lines of text just increase for the larger text and I don't have to shift the image left to right to read the whole line.
While trying out a Samsung Galaxy 10.1 in Best Buy today I could not figure out how to make it happen. I used the same site for the test, AVS Forum, and I had to shift the screen left to right to read the whole line. AVS had a downloadable app for Android so I did that. Everything was sized just right but I was unable to figure out how to enlarge the text via zooming so I couldn't check out if the zooming function was even supported.
This is probably the only thing keeping me from taking the leap as my eyes are old and worn and the small type is hard to read.
Appreciate any words of wisdom.

[Q] Did anyone discover any super secret mode for stylus calibration yet?

Man, I tested a demo set and the pen was SERIOUSLY off. Whatever I wrote was like a 2-3 pixels off. The only thing the staff could tell me was to send the set for repair if I ever got this issue. They quickly removed the demo set after I showed them the problem. I am pretty sure Samsung is not going to replace the WHOLE screen just for this issue, anyone discovered anything yet?
i have the same problem.
i cant write with this poor precision...
need to recalibrate the s-pen... or the screen, i dont know...
Me to... i hope there is such a thing because if i zoom in a screenshot and draw something the offset is over 3 mm for me
Have none of you realized that this is intentional as a result of left and right hand mode so that you can see the line you are drawing? its not a calibration issue at all.
maybe...
but it's stupid.
i want a perfect precision, not at 2-3mm....

As was mentioned above and in another thread all Wacom tablets/pens behave this way so that you can see what you are drawing, not just the note. It takes some getting used to but after a bit of practice it'll become second nature to you, just like the first few times you use a keyboard in your life and you have to search all over for half a minute for a single key
All that said I would like more options exposed for the pen/digitizer just like you get with a Wacom tablet such as tip feel and tilt sensitivity and calibration. Perhaps we should all send Samsung an email requesting a settings app for the pen, and/or ask Wacom if they intend to build an app for their pens for Android since they might appear on more that just Samsung devices now.
Or maybe we'll have to wait for ICS for proper pen settings. Then again someone crafty on XDA might manage it.
I use a lenovo x220T tablet PC with a wacom. On the computer, it will show a little dot wherever you are hovering over the screen. This dot makes a 1-2 mm offset easily usable. Does the galaxy note have this little dot when you are hovering over the screen? If it doesn't, that's the problem...
Maybe once the SDK is out we can create an application to make this dot visible.

Haven't seen the hovering dot for pen in apps I've tried so far
I also use a x220t and wish the calibration capability was available on the Note.
have you noticed that you can switch the screen from switching off by keeping the stylus about half a cm from the screen.. the stylus seems to have a method of interacting with the note without touching..

Some questions about painting

While doing a bit of sketching with my note I noticed a few things that bug me.
Is there any way to just have the tablet only recognize your pen and only recognize your fingers when you want to zoom in and out cause it's really bugging me when I want to rest my palm on the screen and it comes out as brush strokes.
Secondly while using sketchbook pro and using the right hand colour chart to choose colours when I press and hold on them to choose a lighter shade the colours can't reset back to normal other than having to exit then go back to the app again.
Only way I've saw is to press the round thingy then the brush little square box then choosing the different shades there but it takes up more time and becomes annoying and also having to go through this process to change brush size is a liitle annoying too.
Oh one other thing if I've not got enough room left can I expand the canvas to make it a bit bigger or just add a bit of space underneath?
Oh cool just figured one out, layer transform

Box around notes
My problem with Snote is that when I click to start writing with the spen a blue box appears and all writing is done in that box. When it goes to the next line the blue box expands to include that line.
How can I get rid of the blue box.

I would like to ask some questions, if that's okay with you? It's mostly so I know exactly how things appear on your end and to make it easier to answer your questions.
First, are you clicking the button as you are writing in SNote? Have you tried writing in SNote without clicking the button?
Does the blue box appear at the bottom or in the middle of the screen?
If it's possible, grab a screen shot and attach it.
Which firmware are you on. ?? I am using my script notes and it's super fast.. Best ever.. .. Any idea on when our devices ll get kitkat??

Attached is a view of what I mean. I have the P605. I dont click the stylus button. But you can see the blue box around my typing if I put in another line the blue box expands. I wrote a lecture for half an hour and when I went to review it I could only see part of it. there should have been 2 pages but could only see one.
The blue box appears as soon as I touch the screen with the SPen.

Thank you for that screenshot! It was a very helpful thing.
That bluebox is for the text input mode, and it will show up pretty much automatically when S-note is in edit mode. When not in edit mode, as shown on the first attached screenshot from my Note 3 (since they essentially share the same S-note other than Templates...), you should see no blue box.
You WILL however, see a blue triangle at the bottom right and possibly the upper right. Try tapping that with your pen or finger. The end result should be the same as the second screenshot, a pop up window. You should be able to scroll and find the rest of your lecture that way.
...but yeah, that mode will end up treating that box as one continuous, yet scrollable page. It should keep everything, though.
Hopefully that helps, but if I was way off base, lemme know.
Can you tell me a bit more about what your problem with s note actually is so that I can compare my problem with yours??

That was exactly my problem. I have found the you CANNOT write for half an hour taking notes and expect the snote to move to another page when the first one gets full. That was how the note 8 snote worked and that is the one I prefer. I don't want to have to keep creating text boxes just so I can have separate pages. IMO the new snote has gone back to the stone age. I don't use it any more, gone to lecture notes.
