i notice that it didn't actually render the moon/planet scene... I'm guessing that probably skewed the 3d scoring.

Probably worse. If it didn't render the scene properly, it's because the hardware wasn't able to (probably due to crappy drivers). In this case, if it rendered all-white, the framerate was artificially high (since no textures were actually drawn, it seems). If it had rendered the scene, the framerate would have been lower, and quadrant would have scored it lower.
I am running cm7 and i got a 3155 and it ran all scenes just fine
Wow, how you do that? ... i have the 6.2.1 rooted and i'm getting 1400-1600.

Mine rendered all the scenes properly.

thanks for posting the pic. how did you get it in performance? is that overclocking or what?
Pretty impressive.
I only got 1779 on stock rooted 6.2.1 without any hw acceleration mod. That 3200 blows me away.
Uhm not really i just have it set to performance with min set to 600

And to save battery i have it set to max at 600 when the screen is off with userspace

Just did the hardware graphic acceleration mod on CM7 and am now averaging 3100.

I have CM 7 beta 6.4 From Mik, Francos Kernel v15, overclocked at 768 and in some levels i have lags too. Or for a few second on the begening in some level. Quadrant test about 1300, linpack about 9 MFLOPS, Neocore about 57 FPS.

Probably because of lower resolution
It is not resoution as galaxy fit has only 240-320 resolution.i think lg is not make good rom for this use poor quality hardware

Thats exactly what he means... it lags on Lg O1 because it has a higher resolution and doesn't lag on Galaxy Fit as it has a lower resolution, higher resolution means more processing power required... is what he is trying to say..

Haha really? I guess I tried it a few times with some thd games with no successes. and I can only confirm that chainfire does work on our phone because it allows us to change the texture size etc. Other than that, I doubt that the nvidia, qualcomm or powerv plugins actually work.

Just trial and error. I would start at 1.2ghz on stepping 5 and increase by 50mhz being sure to thoroughly test each clock rate.
Do NOT use the set on boot option until you are sure it is stable.

I ended up testing/benchmarking in 25mhz increments. I know it was a bit more time consuming, but I found that my NC could handle 1275 while using multimedia intensive apps, but a friend could get his up to 1325 running benchmarks and not rebooting.
I think we got in one or two runs at 1350, but it definitely wasn't stable. Broke 4200 in quadrant, for whatever that's worth.

This was a fresh install with no other background tasks running. All we did was get the CM7 ROM loaded, OC Kernel and gapps.
I'll get some screenshots of his quad scores when he gets back from helping a buddy move. I think we took screenshots of everything 1250+. I might try getting a full reload working and see if I can break that barrier.
I'm running 1325 and the best score I can get is high 3100s.
Can you guys tell me what settings you have under performance menu?
Sent from my NookColor using XDA Premium App
I got similar scores to them and I used the default settings In performance... I think its a matrer of what you have installed and your device. Also don't worry about quadrant scores they are not that important. If your nook runs smooth what does it matter?
Sent from my NookColor using Tapatalk
Each machine will have to be trial and error. Different device..even same hardware are really all different to one degree or another....example...I have 2 nooks..both running the same version of cm..and kernel...my second one never gets past 3200 on quadrant...go figure...same exact software running on both.
I did this test with benchmarks back to back on higher cpu frequencies, and i ended up with 1325 being the highest stable i could go. Very low 3000's for benchmarks in quadrent which dont mean anything of course, but there ya go. Runs like a champ.
Sorry for the ignorant reply...but what will overclocking actually do? I have a NC with a dual boot CM7 SDcard. Didn't do it, bought it from Jonathan on Ebay, works great!
Currently I am running the Miu ROM, with the V6 Supercharger script and the 0xD34d kernal and I can only get a Quadrant Score of 3400. I see people posting scores of 4000+. What do you guys do to boost your speed/performance on your kindle? Thanks!!!!
Interesting. Best I've gotten is 2700+. Just used the Performance profle on CPU Tuner. Subscribed.

Try 1100 and/or 1000 and see if your lag becomes less cumbersome. Some of the processors used for our NC's become over stressed around these points of clock speeds.

ICS is a bit laggy compared to CM7 at the moment. Not many people push their NC above 1300 and even on CM7 that could actually have a negative effect on graphics performance. You can try a different Launcher like Nova to help with main screen navigation. Also playing with CPU governors can help. InteractiveX and OnDemand are not necessarily the best at the moment. Performance gives best results but will drain battery a bit faster; conservative can also work OK.
thanks both for your replys, i will be changing my cpu speed now and ill report how it goes
OK I'm on 1100 and its smoother, I can see the difference in my live wallpaper performance, thanks for your help guys

Someone suggested that I start a thread on the current overclocking situation on the TF300 so here it is!
Yes, the stock kernel supports overclocking to 1.5ghz
*Must be rooted
The best option at this point is the ezoverclock tool that is also being used for the TF201. This app allows you to overclock in a matter of seconds for free.
1. Download and install the .apk
.apk can be found on this page along with DrWowe who created the tool for the TF201 be sure to send him a thanks! http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1526311
2. Open the app- allow su permissions
3. Make sure the highest setting is set to 1.6ghz. *note, while it says 1.6ghz you will only achieve 1.5, if you set it to 1.5 you will only obtain 1.4ghz. This is due to the fact that the app was build for the TF201 not the TF300)
4.Reboot- Enjoy your now overclocked Transformer Pad!
The AnTuTu overclock master tool has also been tested and confirmed working. Dimply download the app from the play store, open it and allow su permissions. Then set the settings to you liking. However I was getting slightly lower AnTuTu benchmarks while using this method. Probably because the governors are junk (like most overclocking apps).
I am sure there are other methods that are working but these two seem to be the most popular and best available! If you have anything to add feel free to comment or PM me and I will add it to the post. Happy overclocking!
**I take no credit for creating either of these tools, I am simply making it eaiser and more accessable to other TF300 users. I am also not responsible if your tablet blows up while using either of these tools.
Antutu overclock master tool not needed at all. all that's needed is that EzOverclock app. then also the free app from play store called CPU Spy. this is the true way of confirming whether the overclock it really active or not. as it will show whether its active or inactive.
if you want an app to mess around with governors, scale sliders, etc... the app called System Tuner Pro is the best. they have a free version also which works fine. this app is every system tweak app, speed tweaking rolled into one. alot more in depth than setcpu or that Antutu tool. check it out. tons of stuff to play with in there.

Already used CPU soy to confirm the ezoverclock tool as working as well as sticking though .reboots
I'm using antutu cpu master to underclock the device, I have it on max. 1ghz and min. 102mhz. It seems to spend more time in the lower steppings since I made that change (according to cpuspy). I'm still trying it out, to see if it will work for me and save some battery. I also have ezoverclock, I set balanced on 1ghz no need for higher clock since every game I've played runs great.

I have been using ezoverclock with the lowest setting at 1ghz. I seem to be getting much better battery life then stock this way. If I end up needing more power I simply click the performance button that Asus built in. Seems to be working great! It is a great feeling when you are able to under clock and still have plenty of processing power

It is using more battery, although it does not seem to be a huge difference. If you do not need the overclock simply click on balanced mode to save some power. If you are like me and play hard core games on high detail then turn on performance mode when needed.
