Bluetooth Keyboard problem resolved. - Galaxy Note GT-N7000 General

This may be of some use to someone so I am posting this here.
I was having problems pairing my Note with http://www.dealextreme.com/p/73-key...for-android-windows-symbian-ipad-iphone-50796
Infamous "paired but not connected."
This keyboard however would pair and function correctly with the Galaxy S2 and my Galaxy Tab as well as the Iphone 4.
I resolved this issue by replacing bluetooth System files on the Galaxy Note (running [ROM] N7000ZSKK1 Hong Kong Version [11.11.2011] [Android 2.3.6]) with the Bluetooth system files from the Overcome v2.0.0 BETA2_Full rom for the Galaxy Tab.
- Audio.so and input.so copied to system/lib/bluez-plugin
- hciattach, bluetoothd, btld, copied to system/bin
- libbluedroid.so, libluetooth.so, libbluetoothd.so copied to system/lib
- BrcmBluetoothServices.apk copied to system/app
All copying was done using Root Explorer and enabling r/w then back to r/o after copied on required folders
The grand result of this is that now I have my favorite keyboard working on the Note!
Chuffed!!! :0)
And with that I bid you all good night!

No dice with my Apple bluetooth keyboard.

qazzi76, I have the same problem with "paired but not connected" for my Magic Cube with the Note. I am new to Android. Could you show me where I can get those files and how to install them onto my Note? Thanks

when i say extract it i mean use extract all so you get my file structure do not move these files or it will break
Run / double click FastbootFlasher.bat
The script displays the readme at startup. close it and continue.
Select what function you want to do and press [ENTER]
Please be careful as to what file you drag and drop when it prompts you
One final note do not give it a file for another device or a non .img file it will flash it anyway no matter what file you drag and drop once you press enter it flashes what ever was dragged onto the script. Also do not drag a radio img when it asks for recovery or in revers, bad things will happen Wile they are fixable by repeating the process I dont want anyone to mess up their deice making such a simple mistake.

yes i know other people have made .exe files with fancy interfaces but they are restricted to some devices and aren't as simplistic or fast.
i made this as a simple batch file so that anyone who wants to open it in a text editor can see exactly what it does and doesn't do as people don't trust executable files that can go downloading stuff or messing up your computer.

I can tell you that on some devices doing a full wipe you still need to do a factory reset in recovery before flashing because the fastboot method leaves the partitions empty

Yes it works with all nexus devices if you have unlocked your bootloader and rooted .
Mainly this is to be used to flash radio.img and recoveries for nexus devices. it can also function as a wipe menu for you.

[Q] Trouble Installing settings.apk Galaxy S5 for Bluetooth Amazon Firestick

I am trying to install a bluetooth keyboard and mouse to use on my Amazon Firestick. I was told I need to install settings.apk. Does the settings.apk file get installed on my phone or tablet or does it get installed to the Amazon Firestick?
I'm fairly new to side loading files. I tried installing settings.apk to both my Samsung Galaxy S5 and my Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 12.2 but both devices fail to install the settings.apk file. Can someone direct me to a "How To Guide" with step by step instructions of what to do exactly in what order to allow me to set up my Amazon Firestick to be used with a bluetooth keyboard and mouse? I'm totally frustrated at this point
Thank you in advance
Sir,
Please wait until mods will move this thread to the device specific forum for more relevant answers.

Miracast on ZTE Blade L3

Hi, this is my first post. I'm a self-experienced using Android. For year I had no problems with my devices. I had a Motorola G 1st generation who worked fine, but I waste it. Now, I bought ZTE Blade L3. Such as Moto G, Miracast feature is not enable (at least in my stock rom).
I want to know if this device is compatible with that technology (read that works in every phone since 4.2.x).
This phone has Android KK 4.4.4.
Tried to first connect trough WiFi Direct a Miracast Dongle (easycast), but the phone doesn't connect. Then, I tried whith screen cast option, and the same. Finally, I looked forums how to unlock modifying bootloader.ini, just as I had to do Moto G. I added the lines with BuildProp editor after rooting with Kingo Root:
persist.sys.wfd.virtual=0
persis.debug.wfd.enable=1
AAAAAND nothing happens
I need some help, first to know compatibility (wifi drect certification page is down, unfortunately), if there is a ROM that solve this problem (CM maybe?) and if there are other lines that I must add to buildprop.
Thank you very much for your asnwers, and sorry for the bad english (I'm from Chile).
If you need any further information, please ask!!!
UPDATE: use #MirrorEnabeler and the message is "Your Rom is lacking the audio_submix file. You must contact your device mantainer and ask them NICELY no imlement it. Please refer to the red part of the original post on XDA-Developers" This going to take long time, so decided to install stock ROM from other country using SP Flash tool, to see if it has the same problem.
UPDATE 2: Stock ROM from other country, same problem. Rooted the phone to make changes using KingRoot. Followed instructions from this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/har...experimental-enable-mirroring-device-t2812193 The thread was closed, and will create another thread for dongles (no chromecast)
It says, or those STILL having issues,
Check /system/lib/hw directory for the file "audio.r_submix.default.so".
If it doesn't exist, ask your device maintainer to add audio.r_submix.default to
the product_packages in the device.mk file. (You may not know what it means, but they will.)
So, Asked my mobile company to do the changes, they said "the manufacter must". Contacted ZTE to do what is being said, and ther is still no answer.
Will ask in thread posted after, to see if they can help me. Please let me know if somebody can run Miracasr in his Blade (also did't found another ROM that's not a Stock one)
created another thread in hacking software http://forum.xda-developers.com/har...e/help-to-enable-miracast-feature-to-t3209364

Marshmallow on S5 - Screen Mirroring not working

Hi guys
Sorry if this is answered somewhere but I can't find a resolution.
I have G900FXXS1CPC8_G900FSLK1CPB2_SLK with Philz Touch and screen mirroring always fails. Is this a known problem? Tried the usual cache stuff, without success. Casting is fine but not screen mirroring.
Thanks
Sent from my SM-G900F using XDA-Developers mobile app
By the way, everything works great. Had some problems with TB. If you restore app and data backups I always got a FC. Otherwise it's smooth with good battery life
Sent from my SM-G900F using XDA-Developers mobile app
I meant to say everything works well apart from screen mirroring
Thanks

Remedy
Settings -- developer's option-- authorise wireless display devices.
Hi
I have the same problem.
On Lolipop screen mirroring was 100% Ok with my Samsung TV
On MM 6.0.1 (stock XEF + Root + TWRP) screen mirroring is no OK.
The Tv attempt to connect S5 (or S5 attempt to connect Tv), Tv look S5 but sceen mirroring not work and Tv is deconnected.
No change with : Settings -- developer's option-- authorise wireless display devices.
Have you 1 idea ?
Thanks
I too have this problem with screenbeam mini 2 and have tried the Settings -- developer's option-- authorize wireless display devices. with no luck. Has anyone come up with a solution????
Anyone else running into this???? I have gone through several sceneries with no success. Just to clarify this is for wireless mirroring only, mirroring via mlh adapter works fine. Another strange note is that screen mirroring on my secondary ROM works flawless. I am dual booted now in order to use my screen beam mini 2 with my car. This is the only resolution I have found. I am running Resurrection Remix nightly as my secondary ROM and cast works perfect
Seriously No One Else????

This does not work either for me. I've tried every "FIX" on the web, still cannot mirror.
I have been having this same problem as everyone and I JUST GOT MINE TO WORK!!!!
I have been trying many things. Currently the screen mirror patch is UNINSTALLED and I did clear my cache. The following is what seemed to help...
I did the "developer option"-> "authorize wireless display devices" option
Next I tried to screen mirror with my Screenbeam mini2 and noticed some new options were available below the displayed name of my mini2.
I played around with the settings but with everything back to its default settings and "Operating channel" changed from "Auto" to 36, I made "Magic happen".
After that first connection the "Operating channel" returned to "Auto" and it will auto connect all day long.
It's a lousy fix and I blame Marshmallow for this.
Hope this helps.

Galaxy Tab E 9.6 T560/ Samsung universal Bluetooth keyboard bkb-10 pairing problem

Hi guys,
I have to ask some help about the following problem:
I have a Samsung Galaxy Tab E 9.6 T560 tablet, running Android Kit Kat 4.4.4 (it's not T560NU, so I think it will have no more upgrades).
I have as well Samsung universal bluetooth keyboard bkb-10. That's exactly which the keyboard is:
samsung.com/ie/consumer/mobile-devices/accessories/input/BKB-10GBWEGXEU/
(Sorry, I'm not allowed to post outside links here, that's why I write the link in this way )
So, I tried using the keyboard with the tablet. When the devсes start pairing, the tablet promts me to enter a code on the keyboard. It doesn't give me any chance to do that, however, because it almost immediately break connections with error message: 'Couldn't pair with BKB10 because of an incorrect PIN or Passkey'.
The keyboard work just fine with an Alcatel phone, running Android 6, LG phone running Android 5, and Asus Transformer tablet, running Android 4.4.2.
Galaxy Tab E 9.6 tablet, as well, pair via Bluetooth fine with all this devices.
I tried to find some solution, but unsuccessful so far.
Any help is welcome.
Thank you in advance.
