when i say extract it i mean use extract all so you get my file structure do not move these files or it will break
Run / double click FastbootFlasher.bat
The script displays the readme at startup. close it and continue.
Select what function you want to do and press [ENTER]
Please be careful as to what file you drag and drop when it prompts you
One final note do not give it a file for another device or a non .img file it will flash it anyway no matter what file you drag and drop once you press enter it flashes what ever was dragged onto the script. Also do not drag a radio img when it asks for recovery or in revers, bad things will happen Wile they are fixable by repeating the process I dont want anyone to mess up their deice making such a simple mistake.

yes i know other people have made .exe files with fancy interfaces but they are restricted to some devices and aren't as simplistic or fast.
i made this as a simple batch file so that anyone who wants to open it in a text editor can see exactly what it does and doesn't do as people don't trust executable files that can go downloading stuff or messing up your computer.

I can tell you that on some devices doing a full wipe you still need to do a factory reset in recovery before flashing because the fastboot method leaves the partitions empty

Mainly this is to be used to flash radio.img and recoveries for nexus devices. it can also function as a wipe menu for you.

CyanogenMod-7.1 Released !!

It’s been far too long since our last official release, but I’m happy to present CyanogenMod-7.1! I apologize for the long delay, and I hope to speed up our release process in the future. We originally planned to release this last weekend at the Big Android BBQ but some issues with our automated build system held it back.
You’ll find many new features (read the CHANGELOG) and support for building on 68 devices! Upgrading from any previous CM-7 release or nightly build should be smooth and no wipe should be required.
New devices since 7.0 included in today’s release are:
HTC Desire S
HTC Incredible S
HTC Incredible 2
LG Optimus 2X and T-Mobile G2x
Motorola Backflip (Motus)
Motorola Cliq / Cliq XT
Motorola Defy
Motorola Droid 2
Motorola Droid X
Samsung Captivate
Samsung Fascinate
Samsung Mesmerize
Samsung Showcase
Samsung Vibrant
Samsung Galaxy S
Samsung Galaxy S2 (multiple carriers)
Sony Ericsson Xperia X8
Sony Ericsson Xperia Mini
Sony Ericsson Xperia Mini Pro
Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo
Sony Ericsson Xperia Play
Sony Ericsson Xperia Ray
Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc
ZTE V9
There are many devices still in beta status (Pyramid, Doubleshot, Shooter, HP Touchpad, Optimus 3D, several more) that we will be promoting to release or release-candidates in the next few weeks when the code is merged to our main branch.
The preferred method of installation is via ROM Manager, but you can directly download the latest release from our mirror network. Head over to our forums to discuss the release or get help. Installation instructions and other information can be found on our wiki.
As we continue to grow and improve CM, we are starting to see support from the industry grow- something that was unheard of previously. Recently, Sony Ericsson assisted our developers by providing over 20 devices, technical assistance, and compatible hardware drivers. CM-7.1 now has support for all recent SEMC devices thanks to this effort. Various other vendors have reached out to us, but we understand that it is still somewhat of a difficult situation. We will soon be providing a porting guide and some information on how vendors can get involved with the project and how/why it will benefit them.
Thanks again for the support, and for making CyanogenMod the #1 community Android distribution. We’ll be following up with a few minor releases and soon it will be time to start work on CM9!

there is no Xperia Arc? And they say Arc fully supported?
Which to download there then?

Edit:
I just installed this ROM, camera is working.
There... i updated my theme to "XDA 2010" just to be able to thank you!
Anyway... will only go CM7 when I get bored of the stock but doomkerneled UI.
Tempting, very tempting.
The two things i'd really miss from the stock ROM are SE's home launcher (i know, i'm weird) and the panorama camera app. Anyone know how likely these are to work on top of CM?
SE Home Launcher is working on CM7, you can find modified versions on xda, I don't know about camera but I doubt it's working.
I installed this rom and did flash a clean 368 before. I am unable to add an APN for att and cannot use mobile data. It looks like I am not the only one. I have a LT15a, generic global was flashed though so it looks like a LT15i.

u can always revert back to stock.
Try to flash older version or a 2.3.4 stock ROM with DoomKernel until the problem of APN is solved.
I've managed to flash CM7.1 with out having any issue... (seems there's battery drain... but not confirm yet)
The way I did from unlocking bootloader till flash CM7.1:
- Flash using flash tool to LT15i 4.0.A.2.368 Generic Global
- Unlock Bootloader
- Extract the boot.img from the CyanogenMod update.zip and copy it to the same folder as fastboot (the /tools folder within the Android SDK folder).
- Disconnect the Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc from the computer and power it off.
- Download CM7.1
- Unzip it and copy all the zip file frm the 7z you've downloaded into your microSD
- Press & hold the Menu button while connecting the Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc to the computer.
- On the computer, open terminal and run the following command:
fastboot -i 0xfce flash boot boot.img
fastboot -i 0xfce reboot
- Once the device boots into the ClockworkMod Recovery, use the side Volume Rocker to move around, & the Power button to select.
- Select the option to Wipe data/factory reset.
- Then select the option to Wipe cache partition.
- Select Install zip from sdcard.
- Select Choose zip from sdcard.
- Install the CM7.
- Install Google Apps.
- reboot.
NOTE: IF YOUR CONTACT IS IN SYNCML/SONY ERICSSON SYNC, PLEASE COPY YOUR CONTACT TO GOOGLE BY PERFORMING BELOW STEP:
- Go to Contact
- Setting > Backup Contact > choose memory
- Setting > Import Contact > choose gmail account
- Once you have successfully installed CM7.1, it will autosync the contact from gmail contact to your phone one you have setup the google account.
thank for your info

Hello there, the purpose of this guide is to help you get your Arc Updated, De-Branded, Rooted, Themed or to get a Custom ROM installed on it.
The process of tinkering with any Device can seem a like a daunting process for New members but it's really quite simple so long as you read EVERY WORD of a thread describing how to Modify your Phone you shouldn't go far wrong.
Sure you might screw up once or twice but you can just simply run the Flashtool to restore your Phone to a Factory condition using a Branded or World Generic .ftf file which can be found in the Development Section
PLEASE NOTE:
If you have Un-Locked your Bootloader DO NOT UPDATE Over The Air (O.T.A) or YOU WILL BRICK your Device. If you have Bricked then see THIS thread with how to Restore your Phone.
UPDATE:
[Tutorial] Unbrick bricked (unlocked bootloader) Phones
[How-to] Repair Damaged Bootloader + Trim Area [Red Led][Unknown Device]
PLEASE ALSO NOTE:
Using the FOTA Bricked thread (above) has been confirmed to work on Phones with Locked Boot Loaders too.
Debranding & The Flashtool
Put simply Debranding removes Operator/Carrier bloatware, which can speed up your Phone, and the Flashtool allows you to Flash ROMs that are in .ftf (FlashTool File) format, so if your Carrier is slow with releasing the latest Updates you can just simply Flash it, which is easier than using SEUS or PC Companion. If your Phone comes SimFree then it's already De-Branded but if it came from a Carrier, O2, Orange, 3 etc then it will come preloaded with their Apps, Settings etc that you may not want. To debrand you need the Flashtool and a ROM. This video by BlueChipJ explains the process of using it...
You can find the latest Firmware LT15i 4.1.B.0.587 Generic Global World (Android 4.0.4) to be used with the Flashtool HERE

[ARC/ARC-S]Autoroot for unlocked bootloader - no flashing needed
When you root your phone, you gain “superuser” privileges to the Android operating system. When you are using a stock device, you have the equivalent of “guest” privileges. If you are familiar with any Linux operating system, you know that the superuser privilege allows you to gain access to administrative rights. This level of access gets you down to the nitty gritty of the OS with no restrictions, lets you make changes to the system, and run scripts that would normally be blocked with a standard user account.

[TOOL][FASTBOOT] QuikIMG - A frontend for fastboot [0.2 beta]
The stock bootloader on most Android phones is set up to run a signature check on any update file you attempt to flash to your NAND internal memory. So if you were to take a stock Android phone purchased from a carrier, and try to install a custom ROM on it, you'd get nowhere fast. Even after rooting, you still need to get access to the bootloader. Basically, unlocking the bootloader lets you install unsigned ROMs, like CyanogenMod.

There are two ways to Unlock yours, the Standard method (For SimFree Phones) which is explained HERE, (PLEASE NOTE! - You loose DRM when using the official method but not with the TestPoint) but if your Phone came from a Carrier then chances are (99%) you won't be able to use that method. There is a simple method of checking if you can or not which you'll find HERE. Then there is the TestPoint method.
Standard Unlocking
Remote Unlocking
Contact Alejandrissimo or Jinx13 for details of the remote service which isn't free, but cheaper than anywhere else on the net, and when you take in to account you will also SIM Unlock and retain DRM it's worth it.

A custom ROM is a fully standalone version of the OS, including the kernel (which makes everything run), apps, services, etc - everything you need to operate the device, except it's customized by someone in some way.
So what does the "customized" part mean? Since Android is open source, developers are free to take stock ROMs, modify them, strip them of garbage, optimize them, add things, and pretty much do whatever their imagination and skills allow.

There are a good few themes in the Theme Section, all of which have clear instructions on how to install them in their First post (O.P). To make your own however is going to take some reading. You'll need to know how to do things like Decompiling, editing XML files and helps if you know how to use a Program like Photoshop or other similar software like Gimp.

So that's that, the information contained at the links above should be enough to assist you to get your Arc up to date, Un-Locked or Modded and as I said at the start, read EVERY WORD of an Original Post [OP] (first post in a thread) before attempting any modification, THEN READ IT AGAIN, if you run in to issues it's more than likely you missed a step somewhere so just retrace your steps.

[StreakPro] Finally launched in Japan (seeking owners for info)

デルの最新スマートフォン『DELL Streak™ Pro』、3月発売決定
The Streak Pro finally launched in Japan as:
Softbank: 101DL (finally 2 months late)
E-Mobile: GS01
New Info bits:
Latest known softbank rom: 071, region 12
Latest known emobile rom: 063, region 17
Android 2.3.5
Stage 2.0
I'd imagine it's pretty 'stock' like the 40x roms for the S5, V.
0xx roms are usually prototype roms
I'm seeking an owner of any SPro to dump files for me, you dont need to be rooted or anything.
Even though though the S10 launched in only china, there are a dozen owners that arnt in china and post on xda (myself included). Hopefully a SPro owner is willing to come and dump the system partition of the SP.
For the few users that have used both S5-407 and V-408 they should be aware that the V has better battery life due to bugs being fixed (even though the S5 has a slightly larger batt). The SPro should likely be like the S10 by now and have great battery life.
I would expect the SPro to have an unlocked bootloader like all previous dell devices, but also likely not have great rom support due to it not having driver sources released.
Note: dont bother complaining about dell here, it doesnt really accomplish anything. You should complain on any of their social media pages/email them/call them and complain there. At least they have a chance of seeing it there, I dont really expect anyone from dell mobility to browse the S5 xda subforum more then every now and then, if at all.
If anything, go complain on their pages that it's impossible to contact the offical dev team, dell pretty much has a brick wall seperating us from them. Even if they cant give any code, hints would go a good way wouldnt it?
I bought streak pro.
works so fine

Yes, but you MUST do a fac reset and manually restore data to use it on a device that previously had any version of dell stage installed.
(Assuming that the stage 2.0 launcher doesnt have any surprises, the stage 2.0 widgets havnt given me much trouble)
Stage 2.0 is signed with a different version of dell's certs but uses the same shared id name. This means that stage 1.5/1.6 will block eachother from installing.
I will prep a package, but ironically I wont be able to test it for a week as I am on spring break and my S5 was the only thing I didnt bring as I thought I didnt need it (and it was the only one I didnt bring).
Edit: file downloaded, first impressions:
I believe Stage 2.0 is portable to other devices, with the previously mentioned caviat that you cannot have had installed stage 1.5/1.6
Included version: 2.0-v1.0.11, version on market: 2.0-v1.0.13
the SPro's rom isnt made by qisda and possibly not pegatron
Edit2: could you confirm the version numbers in settings -> about phone, since it's not made by qisda I cant easily determine it from the build.prop.
Just give me everything to be sure or a picture or a screenshot.
In process of backporting Stage 2.0, unfortunately it's a lot more complex then merely working with Stage 1.5/1.6/1.7.
I believe the biggest issue is that it requires modifying the BOOTCLASSPATH, which can only normally be modified by editing the kernel itself (more specifically, init.rc in the ramdisk). This basically means it'll only boot on the S5 with a modified kernel
If I do manage to get it working, perhaps we can convince the various rom makers/kernel devs to add the line in and the associated files.
Just to be sure, I need the contents of <root>\init.rc, specifically the line: (from a working Streak Pro of course)
Code:
export BOOTCLASSPATH /system/framework/core.jar:/system/framework/bouncycastle.jar:/system/framework/ext.jar:/system/framework/:/system/framework/framework.jar:/system/framework/android.policy.jar:/system/framework/services.jar:/system/framework/core-junit.jar:/system/framework/kafdex.jar:/system/framework/com.dell.server.divide.jar
and know if it matches that EXACTLY or not, the order is very important

How to root strea pro d43
hi there
I tried to SuperOnelclick,Gingerbreak,visinaly,z4root and DooMLoRD's Easy Rooting Toolkit.
but I cant get root...
Streak pro d43 from baidu got rooted with SuperOneClick.
Please help me how to root streak pro d43 from japanese carrier
I didnt really expect those to work, at this point (for the most part) the only way to root anything above 2.3.4 or so is to install a custom recovery and flash superuser.zip or something similar.
Until someone finds another exploit that's the only way to root.
Someone needs to make a custom recovery to root though that method. I'd offer to make one but I would need to own/have access to a SPro to do that.
Another update on backporting Stage 2.0:
Stage 2.0 is heavily integrated into the stock SPro rom, current changes:
added com.dell.android.app.deviceadmin.jar and com.dell.server.divide.jar to BOOTCLASSPATH
added assorted dependency apks (of course)
modified framework.jar [!!]
If/when I finally get it booting, it's definitely going to require roms to explicitly add support for Stage 2.0.
The reason: the Stage 2.0 launcher apparently directly adds Dell divide support into it. Unlike the S10 (which also has it) it's heavily integrated instead of being just an extra entry in settings.
I'd be able to work faster if I had a working Stage 2.0 install though, at this point I've added all the visible dependencies, it's still crashing out and I'm running out of clues
It seems that you are really working hard to port stage 2.0 on our streak.

[GUIDE] How to GB(root) ICS and JB a Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 [SHW-M180S] from korea

Hi,
I'm writing this guide because I think that there is not clear and concise information on how to flash diferent and up to date ROMs on a Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 [SHW-M180S], the korean version.
All the info I've found was very fragmented and also is the inconvenient that the TAB is exclusive for Korea, so all the info was in korean.
Diging around and with extra help from forum member SmaRkieS whom I want to give a big thanks, I was able to root my tab and also upgrade it to ICS and JellyBean.
I'm going to separate by Android versions.
- Gingerbread (Root):
Well, if your TAB is Android 2.3.6 UC27 it's very possible that you cannot root it by this two methods http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=22194773&postcount=2
So, I've found that there is an Android 2.3.6 UC27 ROM which is rooted. To flash it (same procedure for all the other roms for this TAB) use Odin 1.85 Just downoad this ROM (Android 2.3.6 UC27), run Odin and check that is like this

}
Click the PDA button and select the ROM you downloaded and click Start. Let it finish and the TAB will reboot and Gingerbread rooted ROM will be installed
Here is an Odin tutorial
And here you can find all the Stock ROMs
EDIT: Please, be aware that from this point, you will not have mobile data working. Since ICS, Google developers have disabled the option to write the APN settings due to security reasons, so, you will only have phone calls working but no mobile data.
- IceCreamSandwich:
This rom will enable your tab to 10 point capacitive touch screen.
This is ICS AOPK 4.0.4
http://main.develoid.com:81/samsung...ich ROM/IceCreamSandwich_M180S_Stable_2.0.tar
You have to flash it with the Odin method. When it finish and the TAB reboots, I recomend to turn it of and enter the revovery mode by pressing vol up+power and do a full wipe.
First time I flashed this ROM it takes hours to boot, and by hours I mean 5 or 6. I did the full wipe and let it boot by night, next morning the TAB have booted and was asking for the initial setup. So don't despair, it will finally boot. I promise.
- JellyBean:
Do not flash this ROM if you don't have previously flashed ICS!
This is JellyBean 4.1.2
EDIT: I've found a much much better working Jelly Bean ROM, here you can download it and flash with Odin:
http://pan.baidu.com/share/link?shareid=185726&uk=571066819
http://main.develoid.com:81/samsung/Galaxy/Galaxy Tab/SHW-M180S/JiWon Rom/Jiwon ROM 2.0S Full.tar
To flash it, first do a nandroid backup (for your own safety), then full wipe and finaly use same Odin method as in the others to flash the ROM.
Anyway, you can go to http://main.develoid.com:81/samsung/Galaxy/Galaxy%20Tab/SHW-M180S/ and dig in to the folders to find the ROM you want.
Hope this tutorial will be useful to all of those ones, as me, that own a Galaxy TAB Korean version and are not koreans and were having problems finding how to root or upgrade and all the info is in korean.
By the way, excuse my english because I'm from Spain and I'm sure I did a lot of mistakes.
Thanks for watching!!!:highfive:

Hi there, any mirror for the aokp ics? I cant download from develoid server. Thx.
Completely clean ROM thanks a lot . We need more post people like you .
links are change (moved but they exists)
Thanks erucoco!! Finally I could root my tab using UC27 ROM you specified!
I tried both ICS and JB versions and luckily could get out of the first boot withing 5-10 minutes. But, I had to revert back to GB, as with both ICS and JB ROMs, I could not Call (error - "Turn off the flight mode.." though flight mode is Off) or SMS (error "Currently service is not available.."). Turning Flight mode ON and then Off would make the tab to get network, but for only few seconds.
I highly appreciate if you suggest any workaround for the issues or may be any other clean ICS or JB ROM.
Keep up the good work!

I'm sure that when you flash the ICS rom, it cames with the CWM. So you can do backups, install zip's and so on.
Give it a try, because I don' know how to have CWM in Gingerbread. I recomend then install the JB rom.

Part Two - Install new ROM from SPFTools CWM does not work when
Many with the above guide you tried to change the finding in eom stuck.
With this procedure you can go back, but before we move forward I want to give you a few details regarding the update of the rom:
*- The rom mounted on chinese devices with Play Service support and multilanguage already moddate the seller.
*- Given the above, download a rom 'official' (see NeedRom) carrying the phone in its native state.
*- If you need to download the latest versions from the site VibeUI not download the latest available, sometimes the downgrade is not possible (personal experience).
Let's start!
First, before you go ahead to make sure you have followed the guidance post 100% in the first part of the thread.
Follow the link:
SPFTools V5:
https://mega.co.nz/#!G0sVBK5A!M9DovhVgx_aCdXpySq0zmkKvrPbAFePtJgZRXyjtG7w
Click to expand...
Click to collapse
Now unpack everything and put it in a folder convenient for you.
I post the link of a rom in case I tried to see if this will work, even to you. To me it is working well.
In the third part if this rom works almost everyone will get all roms that I find around and decide what to do and what to do.
Rom 1949Deal:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/zep53n1j214ri45/lenovo k3 note rom.rar?dl=0
Password: 1949dealjoy
Click to expand...
Click to collapse
Once downloaded, extract directory in a readily available and open flash_tool.exe .
Before we go on, first remove the battery and attach only the USB cable, then set the SPFTools this:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Set in this way the program.
In step [1] look for the previously extracted folder and locate the file.
Give the program a few seconds to load the rom, and after leaving it in Download Only Click Download .
Obviously nothing will happen, to make sure that going forward, you can simply insert the battery and wait for the completion of the transaction.
Reinstall the back cover and turn on the device. Give it about 8/10 minutes for the first startup.
Et voila! We are again ready to modding this Lenovo K3 notes!

Modding Lenovo K3 Note
I anticipate that I will, nor the forum will take responsibility 'of malfunctions and \ or damage!
In this thread, I'll describe a simple, fast, and definitely safer than SPFTools.
SPFTools VCOM working on ports that are not always recognized, sometimes give problems also installing special drivers, they are almost always a problem for Windows because of the signatures on the driver.
Closed this little digression for information, we start with the drivers:
Install all drivers Lenovo inside. Once you finished enable the USB debugging and wait for Windows to complete its configuration.
When completed restart the PC and install the utility on the device:
Be sure to restart to have all the drivers installed correctly and stay in Debug USB.
Without this included in your terminal this .zip file to obtain permits Root later:
Now download this Minimal ADB (with Recovery K3 notes included) from here:

Better add a custom ROM for Lenovo K3 note in the thread has official Roms of lenovo k3 note are useless bcuz FDD 4G and VPN are not supported in k3 notes official ROM. It would be better if some one finds and updates the thread with k3 notes custom roms available :good:

Do you have it and know that FDD LTE is not supported? Sounds unlikely as China Unicom has FDD LTE in addition to TDD LTE (and the phone supports China Unicom).
Is there any ROM supporting dual SIMs?
Thanks.

I will test it this night at home.

[REQ] SafeCenter
Dear Colleagues,
I have Lenovo Vibe Z2. It has got recently the Lollipop upgrade that works quite well. But Lenovo did not include the SafeCecter app into the upgrade and the old one, extracted from the 4.4 ROM, isn't compatible with the new ROM, it even cannot be installed.
So, my request: would someone be so kind and extract the SafeCecter app from the K3 Note firmware for me? Since the K3 also has Lollipop I hope that your SafeCecter would serve well on my Z2 too.
Thanks a lot in advance!
