Anyone got Asphalt 4 HD running?

Hi there,
did anyone manage to get Gamelofts Asphalt 4 HD running on a p3600
I got the game for 2.99€ but it won´t start on my p3600 I tried with wm6 and wm6.1 roms but when I try to start it, it just ends 1 second after that.
I´m still waiting for gameloft support to reply.

Update on this one:
Well not really an update Gameloft just said "We are sorry choose another game for free"
I tried version 1.12 from my frieds omnia an it runs ok but since it is in wqvga im missing some buttons on the bottom thus rendering it unplayable
Anyone got it running so far on trinity

asphalt 4 works
hello mate, i've got asphalt 4 running on my trinity. The version of asphalt is 1.0.7

AAAAAH!!!
I think I´m going nuts.
I sold my Trinity (not because of asphalt) and bought a LG ks20. I downloaded asphalt 4 hd again from gameloft and I have the same error (well no error it shortly shows in taskbar and then exits)
The Phone is Brand new! No flashing/additional programs.
I think it´s because I´m using German wm. I will try wwe and report back

asphalt4 running smoothly on my trinity-WWE elegance rom-
I think that u hav to install it to the system memory instead of the storage card to run it.

This is nice service from Gameloft! They could just have said, oh yeah sorry what ever, but offering a game for free is great!!!

Has any one looked at the OpenGLES 1.1 mod currently being worked on for the Hero and tested it on the Eris?

Followed these directions and added it to CELB4.1 along with changes to build.prop and a few others from KaosFroyo. Works so far but didn't want to mess with before and after benchmarks right now. May do that later if I have the time.

It improves performance and allows apps designed for opengles 1.1 to run well

Instructions
Drop libgles_qcom in directory
System/lib/egl and replace it
Opengl version should now read
Msm7230 opengles 1.1.
1.1 is an upgrade to 1.0 adding new opengl functions.
Ok this will help optimize android and apps to the new 1.1-CM lib.
Open your build.prop and on a new line above your dalvik settings add
ro.opengles.version=65537
This will tell everything your true opengles native API 1.1. Everything will now defualt to 1.1

i added it to my new update coming out , but needs testing , but im using from the legend was told it works better

is this froyo specific? You think it might work on eclair?

Tried to copy and past into system.. denied.
Tried to do adb push libGLES_qcom.so system/lib/egl
and got read only system.. denied.
any ideas?

Meh I'll wait for this to be built into my roms. Maybe game performance won't be crap

Make sure you mount system first before pushing.
adb remount
Then do your adb push into system/lib/egl

i added it to my rom ,, no one has told me if it works or not ,, someone said pocket legend dont work (guess its a game or something) that needs it , so im not even sure if it works

lol if you added it in at v26 that explains a lot... like why Zenonia 2 suddenly plays full speed and I can bump up the graphics on it.
On V24 it didn't play full speed even on the lowest graphics lol

cant remember if it was 26 ,, its possible tho , i have to many roms and cant remember what i do to which one ;lol

As much of a preformance increase that this did have, my openGL live wallpapers are still not working (nexus, grass, galaxy, water) Does anyone know how to get them working on CELB?

I am waiting to see if Koas loads this in to his gingerbread rom (aka KaosGingerbread)

Any chance that this would make Angry Birds work on our phones?

Installed it, and don't really see any difference. I wonder if the old original angry birds would work better?

I just downloaded this and it worked, and now I cant download any apps. I followed the instructions maybe I missed a step. If someone could please help me figure this out I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you.
I was able to download a program if I unmounted the sd card but I really dont want to have to do that everytime.
ps. Angry birds is faster. (Not as fast as on our PS3 lol) but a lot faster and less laggy then it was yesterday =D

Something changed when I updated to Tazz 26... so it was either this or maybe I just needed a wipe. Either way, Zenonia 2 was slow even on the lowest settings, now I can play it fine on medium settings.

Just a quick note for Eris users that are frustrated with the current 1.42 version of Angry (Laggy) Birds: try to find (e.g. Google) the 1.35 beta version. Some of the backgrounds don't render correctly but the game itself plays just fine.

To add on there is also A patched version floating around of 1.3.5 that renders the backgrounds correctly on our phones.

Do you have a link to the version your referring to? I'm wanting to do this on my current installed ROM.

Bought this one stating my Device is a HTC desire and it works brilliantly . It fully supports HVGA rezolution ( no distorted screen of anything ) .
Also you need a WIFI connection as you will have to download 600~ mb of SD files .

also hero of sparta worked for me! think tht gameloft is doing adaptive resolution's apk!....FINALLY!

I have Optimus One and I allways was wondering how can I state my phone as another to download additional games from the market.

I run dis game and it works Great.!!!!!!!
all i have to do is to overcolock it to 748 Mhz and then the game rockzz...

works great, but it is unbelievably boring. You just go from one opponent to another, kick their a*s, move little bit, do the same,.... Opponents I met were flying sword, wolf with wings & check with two legs (many times).

anyone tried asphalt 6 yet?

How did you enable the apps in the market so they are downloadable?

HD games on zte blade (dell xcd 35)

Surprisingly everywhere i look i can see people talking about how well their blade runs games like nfs shift or real soccer 2011 backstab 3d or gt racing hd but the weird thing is my market says my device is not compatible with these games ive been looking for games everywhere i even got fpse the ps1 emulator but the graphics arent that good i tried n64oid but it force closes and downloading hd games for android on the net for free is a total waste of time as none of them work! what do i do? how is everyone else running hd games?

thats not true i have downloaded free games from net and nfs shift,pes 11,pes 12,real soccer,real football all work fine.

i have problem with few games but many work i think installing cm7.1 will solve it

I have CM 7.1 Installed and Have the Same Question?
I tried 4shared.com and found an NFS.apk file. The trouble is there is usually little info on how to use the file or install etc. In tried it anyway and it would not install?
So I have the same question. That is, can anyone please provide a link(s) to so I download an NFS.apk install file for the ZTE Blade?

I figured HD games work on only the 2.2 roms? Correct me if I'm wrong

i dont think so according to games they should work on 2.3.

I tried NFS Shift and it was legendary.No problem, no lag.I downloaded the Sony Ericsson X10 version of this game.

Thank you very much. I tried out some games and loving it. Been playing Asphalt 5 on my ZTE BLADE. It works wonderfully, so not sure why Android Market says its not compatible with the phone. Time and time again I just love the ZTE BLADE.

Asphalt 6 and Dungeon Hunter 2 no longer work after ICS?

So I got my A500 yesterday, updated to ICS this morning, and downloaded my free Gameloft games this evening. NOVA 2 works without a hitch, but Asphalt 6 comes up with a "Could not Play Movie" error twice then just sits there. Dungeon Hunter 2 just straight crashes when you try to start it. Anyone get these to work? I'm assuming its typical Gameloft crappy programming and an ICS problem.

Hi, for the movie not playing go download Mobo player and the codec pack. Worked for me. As far as far as Dungeon hunter goes I haven't tried it after my upgrade. But if it doesn't work right now you may just have to wait for an update from Gameloft...

LOL Will have better luck waiting to win the lottery! Shadow Guardian has been broken from Day 1, as in the game cannot be completed, they know about it, and still haven't fixed it. It came out last summer.
As for Mobo player, theres like 20 CODEC packs, which one do I need?

i can play Asphalt 6 i bought on Playstore. 3 free games i got are DH2, Asphalt6 and NOVA2. Only NOVA2 can play on ICS, DH2 crash, Asphalt 6 didn't test.

Hi there Im new here and I was have the same problem wen upgrade to ICS, searching in the web found some gameloft games for asus tft101 that works very fine in the iconia A500 whit ICS
4.0.3 OTA I don't tested in other ROMS so I hope these tip was houpfull for you.

When I installed it I was prompted by the app. It directed me to the market to download MoboPlayer Codec for ARM V7_VFPV3.
As far as updates from Gameloft go. Some things get fixed, some don't. If it doesn't work shoot them an email, explain, wait a week for a response, choose your new other free game and respond, wait another week and when you get that response, download and enjoy your new, not dungeon hunter, game.
Or just do what DOOM12 suggests, or both...

Downloaded the codec and mobo finds and plays the intro but when I try to run the actual game is still gives me the error.
And yes they do give free games which is nice, problem is I own basically every one that I want to play on my Xperia Play including these games, I would just like to play them on my tab as well.

Should I maybe uninstall and delete Asphalt 6 and try to re-install it now that I have moboplayer and the codec? Is there something I need to do to have the game use mobo to play the intro?

The codec will not help the game play. it only helps to play the videos separately.
It's always possible that a reinstall could help though it may take an update from Gameloft before it works again.
I just downloaded Asphalt 6 on to my A500 and it is working for me in ICS. Try a redownload including data to see if that helps.

Lol, you don´t need a special codec to play the game, like I told you, in htcmania forum are the gameloft and EA games cooked for Escorbutopia for asus tft101, that can be played in our iconia a500 tablets because they are compatible.

Nothing I can think of. Sorry. Perhaps it doesn't like something you have going on in your device. Have you tried backing everything up and starting fresh to see what happens?

I'm just rooting it now. I could do that but I literally bought it, OTA updated it, and then downloaded those games, so I don't know that anything could have affected it...

asphalt works for me. it asks to download an extra 5mb when you change rom,that's all.

I have factory reset my A500 with stock ROM a few times now and installed the "newest" version provided by Gameloft support... no joy! WTF this is what you get for buying games! I should really start pirating them if this is the quality you get!
Tried the mobo thing didn't even play the movies.

This theory is right, the version their site is providing is 1.1.6 which is probably why it doesn't work. I sent them an email and told them this, and the guy emailed me back and offered me 2 free games, but never sent me the updated Asphalt 6, (instead he said they are "sending the issue to the dev team") so I'm gonna email again and say hey this is what I want!
