Hello All,
I have installed Android 2.2 on the SD of my device, is there a way to boot into android recovery mode to install some updates related to Arabic character support ?
thanks
Hello
No,this mode is available only for phones which run Android from NAND
Thx for the reply, do you know any way to install a zipped file update then without going into recovery mode ?
i know that developers used to create a folder called update and on next reboot files were updated, but u better ask them how to do it as i don't know the procedure

Im done searching, i cant make any sense of it. im a new android user and i just want to update my device from 4.2.1 to 4.2.2..
Ive tryed downloading it manually from http://www.androidpolice.com/2013/0...jdq39-for-the-nexus-7-and-nexus-10-right-now/ and install it when from (when the tablet is shutdown and i hold both 3 buttoms and come into a boot screen??) i dont know the name of it but anyways. i select install zip from sd card and i then select the file ive downloaded but the installation aborts. i read in some thread that if i have a custom kernel ( i have francos) it cannot install updates that way?
Could someone please describe to me how to install the update in NEWBISH llanguages?
If i have to remove franco kernel to install the zip file how do i remove it?
Please answer in simpel steps

Hello
well i also faced this issue,if ur not aware of it then let me explain a liitle.. if you have upgraded to the latest version via OTA then there are some patch files in the system which do this trick.. so in order to get permanent recovery if u flashed it via ur phone with apps like flashify or recovery tools then you need to go to
System and there you will see a file with name Recoveryfromboot.p just delete that file and flash chinese cwm and ur done :]
btw i'll try to build the english cwm as soon as i get some free time.. thanx to burakgon for releasing the kernel sources..
Thanks simmer14, works perfectly after removing that file from system. So that confirms it's not bootloader lock issue. No idea why custom kernels and twrp not working then?

i will build the cwm for our phone but i'm not getting any time to sit in front of my pc :'(
edit :
custum kernels are not working ? did you tried to compile one from the sources ? or the sources are not complete ?
I didn't tried to compile anything, but some guys did here -

If you want, you can take a look there and contribute in your own way to resolve the issue. Thanks for your efforts so far though.
Hi guys,
I made this tutorial because many people dont know how to upgrade to the BETA version of android 5.1.1 (B008) is ALE-21.
This tutorial can be applied to unbrick phone. (which was my case)
Then you must download the following file: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B1rEfLdrJbhKaDFMS0l5cmR6ZUU/view
HEADS UP:
I am not responsible for bricked phones, so be careful
bootloader unlocked
ADB drivers installed
Steps to install mode:
1. Install stock recovery
run script StockRecovery-INSTALL-P8Lite.bat
2. Install B052 ROM
run script FLASH-ALL.bat
3. Install B136a ROM
run script FLASH-ALL.bat
4. Install the B008 as local update
1.Connect mobile to PC
2. Copy and paste dload(update) into SD card or Internal memory
3. Go to settings =>Update=>Install as local update
Wait to update B008
Done

Update
hello everyone so here is my problem, i followed a guide to root my phone , it all went good but after the phone restarted i founded some issues like bluetooth not working , and settings crash when i try to open devloper options.
I contacted the one who did the guide and then he told me :"here is firmware file, ( he sent me the link )
extract it , you will get update.app ,then find huawei firmware extractor in google, and use it to extract boot.img from update.app
copy boot.img to sd card, in revolution recovery press install, select boot.img and replace with current boot partition
You will be responsible for all this act."
I asked him if my phone will work after i do what he told and then he added :"as per my knowledge this may solve your problem, but there's nothing guaranteed, best thing will be flashing stock B380, which i don't have".
So my question is , is it safe to follow his instructions ? i just want my phone like it was before :crying:
my phone build number : VNS-L31C185B380
Thank you,
theme app is installed?
What is theme app ? Sorry im à newbie.
Only solution is to downgrade to marshmallow and after that perform the upgrades again. Only catch is that it will also perform a factory reset.
Hi guys,
My phone currently runs android 6, rooted and TWRP recovery.
I want to go back to stock android 5.0 , but i cant flash the rom through TWRP. Can you give a lilttle help how to flash with ADB?
I got the "update extractor" , but i am not sure how to use it and which files to flash...also I don't know the commands to do it... (such a lame hacker I am... : )
Hope you will help.
