Well considering this is an English speaking only forum, I don't think you'll find that here, however someone just wrote one out in English today here:

Can you define 'safe'? If it means keeping your ability to root, then, if you download 2.34.75.1 from danne_jo's thread, then yes, it is safe.
I also tried installing languages through more locale..what do you think about that?
Please guide me, im a complete newbie and i dont need new rom, just the languages. Is more locale dependable?

From what I have been reading around these forums, yes, morelocale2 is reliable, and, has been recommended to many. (Havent used it personally)

[Q] Language issue?! please help..

Hi,
I really need an Arabic support to my milestone 2 device. I've searched the net for a solution with no result, it might be due to the fact that milestone 2 hasn't been officially released in the middle east!!
I'm quite sure it's possible because milestone 1, Defy and Atrix users have had a solution for this issue, then why not me?
Please guys any help would be appreciated, I'm fed up with this!
I'm running the latest firmware 2.2.2
Thanks in advance!.

search this forum. somebody else has asked a similar question needing arabic support. if im not mistaken there is no arabic support. the only way will be to write one yourself. as i said, search the forum and you will find ur answer
EDIT: there's a reason a thread has been created for general questions. had you looked through that thread there wouldnt be a need to create a new thread on this. refer to this thread for your answer.

We would have all languages if we would have a Cyanogenmod ROM but we haven't at this moment. You can eventually install More Locale app from market, and add your locale. After that you will get your language in all apps that support it.

I did submit a question in General question thread and couldn't find an answer!

Just install the "More Locale" app from the Android Market, and add your (Arabic) locale in this app. After that all installed apps will recognize your system locale as the Arabic and automatically will be translated to this language if support it. Just try and see results.
agent008my, mkmck or anyone can help, if you could guide me through this?
I've found this generic Arabic files for android 2.2 & 2.3
but I don't know if I can apply them to milestone 2 and how? because I'm no expert in milestone 2 firmware, especially that Arabic is shown in my device but the problem is that it's not connected letters, so there is a little hope here
here is the link please check it out:

the steps to the link there is pretty straight forward. you have to make sure your phone is rooted though. to root your phone, check through the android development section of this MS2 forum and you should be able to root your phone then. read carefully, and then read again before you attempt a root. once rooted, download root explorer or something similar and you should be able to follow the steps in that blog pretty easily
edit: you should be able to search through all the extension files stated (right from checking if your ROM is deodexed to modding the system/framework extensions) in that blog after you have rooted your phone via root explorer or similar
always always perform a nandroid backup before you start rooting your phone or installing the patch. you can learn more about nandroid backups and similar android terminology and rooting through these threads:

I installed Root explorer and before rooting I've explored the Framework. I found a framework with odex extension which make it not suitable for the method the guy mentioned.
So my question here, is deodexing the rom a possible thing for a basic user (I've read it's a complicated method), or do you advice me not to do it? -to be able to apply the files-
Thanks very much!.

to be very honest with you, here is my understanding on deodexing:
Apk files have respective odexes that devs use to supposedly save space. Deodexing means you convert it back to a .dex file and put it back inside the apk. This allows you to easily replace files (not having to worry about odexes), but the main point was to deodex services.jar so that you can change all text to different colors (such as the clock color to white) and to deodex services.jar, you need to deodex everything.
to be honest i know nothing about deodexing or how difficult it is to carry out. however, i did take the liberty of searching some up for you, and there is a tutorial on this forum about deodexing. its very complete and it should be able to help you.

apparently our man here has tried more locale and it has not worked. hence the reason for this rather drastic method
I finally found a file that worked!

You shouldn' t be afraid. I've no reason to propose a program that does not work or malicious.
This software is used by some French people and they are happy. But if you do not trust what I can understand, I have no other arguments to give you. Try it and see for yourself.
Sorry if you understand me but I'm French so it may be that I make spelling errors.
Does this work with software version 2.50? Any more info on this tool? Thanks in advance

It depends on what you do with your device.
Downgrading with 2.37+: isn't possible

You provided evidence, that's fine

Ok, no problem! I hope this tool will meet...
the first link is dead.
Op can you please elaborate on this tool and how to use it.
Dead ? no, just replace xxx by www and replace "x" by "t" in hxxp. I'm new user and can't post url in my posts
Automatic downgrade (just follow instructions), radio flash auto, S-OFF, etc
Easy to use!
oh yeah I didn't notice the xxx bit.
In this program, if a translation is bad, thanks to report and translate for me!

Unable to connect my HD
Just download, installed & upgraded the UMT, but cannot get it to see my Desire HD which is connected by USB. I've tried using Charge only, and also as Disk Drive.
The UMT log says ERROR:NO DEVICE and then sits there with INFO:WAIT FOR DEVICE
Suggestions, please?
