Does anyone know what net-10 runs on?Is it cdma?
Sent from my HTC Sensation 4G using xda app-developers app
Net 10 piggybacks off of T-mobile and AT&T, so it's GSM.
Boost Mobile piggybacks off of Sprint, so it's CDMA.
Boost Mobile has something called bill shrink, where your monthly bill decreases by $5 after a certain amount of months. The most you can get off is $15 off the bill. Basically Boost has sprint coverage and sprint network speeds.
Net 10 doesn't have 4G or very good web services, only talk and text.
So don't boost offer a $50 a month unlimited everything? If so how many Gigs of web do they give you?and boost is pre-paid service correct?
Sent from my HTC Sensation 4G using xda app-developers app
They do offer $55 unlimited everything with a soft cap of 2.5 GB on the data. And yes it's prepaid.
Check here: http://www.boostmobile.com/shop/plans/monthly-unlimited/android/
Thanks for that information.I appreciate it. Takecare!!!

Do could I put my T-Mobile sim card in a net-10 phone and get 3,4G service?
Sent from my HTC Sensation 4G using xda app-developers app
That phone needs to be unlocked and has to be a smartphone.
In your own opinion does net-10 data suck compared to mobile's?
Sent from my HTC Sensation 4G
I'm not too familiar with Net 10 data plan, but it does not seem to offer unlimited data plans. Instead, Net 10 charges you 1 minute of talk time for each minute that you are online. That's not a very good deal, if you want to use a fair amount of data.
look here: http://www.net10.com/data_svs/price_chart.jsp
Otherwise, go to Boost Mobile which has an "unlimited" data plan.
I was told that you get unlimited data on this plan.Does anyone know if this is correct.
Sent from my HTC Sensation 4G using xda app-developers app
Not for smartphones. Requires an over price data plan. I think its like $25 bux for one gig.

Straighttalksim.com has a $45 plan "unlimited" everything runs on at&t or tmobile network (you can chose) It works on any phone that has the right bands. I am running a i9100 on it now and have been for awhile

Ditto. They can cut you off if you go over a certain amount (most people say around 2-3GB a month), but so far I've used around that amount and been good. I know some people who have gone way over (5GB) and been fine too. If you use them, don't fill in the proxy fields in the APN, just the MMS proxy stuff. If you stream constantly, this service is not for you. However for anything else it's great. And you get real AT&T speeds (I've personally gotten up to 5 Mbps in some areas).

Yup ive used 2gb and been fine, and have also heard of people going over 5gb and been fine. But id say 2gb would be the safe zone, which is probably plenty for most. Just use wifi whenever you can
my sim will be coming soon and since im gonna be using a pre 2 i dont think data limits are anything to worry about. i just want stable reliable signal where I can text and get calls reliably from a certain area sprint doesnt cut it but ATT does. my question is i am a part time promotor for clubs so i send out a crap load of texts (on sprint i saw my amount and it was around 22000 lol)
if i decide to make this my main phone i will be consuming that much.....phone calls arent an issue i mainly talk only to my gf for long periods of time at night lol
will i be kicked off for this usage?
Hey if I only wanted 5-10 of data a month with no minutes or texts is that possible?and if it is how much would I be looking at for just 5 Gb of 4G data a month.I have a unlocked HTC sensation 4G a t-mobile smartphone.so do I order a sim card from straight talk?how much is a sim card?can I call and order a sim card and activate the sim for just monthly data?I would appreciate it if someone would please explain my qwestions. Thanks...

Texts don't really use data so you would be fine. Data use would be like Pandora.

You could get your cellphone activated on Clearwireless if it's available in your area. It works on HTC EVO, and I think it would on sensation... Just google "activate htc evo on clearwireless" to get on the right path... Good luck!

The Evo is a cdma device and the Sensation is a gsm device. They are not compatible. Clearwireless is a cdma provider (mvno).

I don't think GSM/CDMA matters in terms of 4G connection, rather Wimax/ lTE... does

Yes, it does. GSM SIMs and (for example) the SIMs used by Verizon (I don't, know if, Sprint has switched to a SIM based system for their up and coming LTE network) would not be compatible. You CANNOT USE A device like the Sensation on a CDMA network, period.

Sprint uses "integrated SIMs" for their LTE phones, which basically means they still use the same MEID/ESN system. Identical to the old 3G/WiMax system. And yes, you're correct. You can't use a GSM phone on a CDMA network period. You can, however take a hybrid GSM/CDMA phone (like a Droid 2 Global) and get it to work on GSM networks by hacking the radio not to ignore domestic networks like AT&T and T-Mobile.
I unlocked my T-Mobile sensation 4G and I purchased a at&t 4G sim card.Is it possible to get unlimited data along with minutes and texts on at&ts $50.00 a month plan?would I get 4G service or edge?I was told if I was to change my phones radio bands that I could get 3G service. If anyone knows the answers to my qwestions would you please respond back.I would appreciate it.

I thought AT&T dropped their unlimited for new users.

The HTC Sensation 4G does not support AT&T's 850MHz/1900MHz Band in 3G, so you will run at edge speeds (I know this because I just unlocked my friends Sensation 4G to be used on AT&T) As far as unlimited data goes they say unlimited but if they see spikes in your usage wither your on a Plan or Go Phone they will now convert you to a Smartphone Data Package Automatically.
Your best bet depending on who has the best reception where you are at is to either get a Straight Talk Sim Card for T-Mobile, Which your 3G Will work or a Straight Talk Sim card for AT&T which your 2G Speeds will only work
Why don't you get the $60 T-Mobile unlimited plan?
I like Straight Talk, though I'm a little wary of the data limit.
You could also try Simple Mobile $60 plan for unlimited talk, text, and 4g data

Both $60 plans are the same. Except T-Mobile publishes the throttle point. Both companies throttle at 2GB's on those plans.
