Mytouch 4g asking to upgrade internet Web2go service

My data was working fine when I was on my tmobile version HD2 but now it is asking me to upgrade my web2gov service. I have tmobile's even more plus data plan and I'm also on the virtuos unity rom.

Just wanted to let you guys know that I solved the problem. It was because even though I had Android on my HD2, I was still under the Windows Mobile data plan which is called "Smart Phone Web". I contacted T mobile and switched my data plan to the Android specific plan which provided me with my data again for the same price.

3G on Metropcs - help needed

I had my Epic 4G flashed to Metropcs and was all ready to use QPST to get data working, but QPST will not install on my computer. I've tried and tried and tried and for whatever reason it just errors and stops installing.
Does anyone know of a way to simply flash the setting using CWM or ODIN?
I saw the Alternative Carrier Fix thread but couldn't post there to ask if that would work for me as I'm rooted on stock EL30.
Are there any ROM's available that include the required settings to get data working on Metropcs?
That thread you ran into is your best bet. Try another computer, and try grabbing qpst from another source, the one I posted on my thread works great. Just don't post about metropcs on it as the thread is for epic to virgin mobile.
The method uses outdated methods that require you to build a custom rom of el30 that DOESN'T exist. Also it uses scripts for 3g data, tbh it isn't worth it. I reccommend you switch to Virgin Mobile if you're in the Sprint coverage as I have a guide written for that.

I'm pretty sure metro is only 1x data. My gf just got the wildfire s and its shown 1x since the day she got it.

Not all metro phones are 1x. They introduced 3g phones a few years ago.

Evo 4G On Straight Talk

I have successfully flashed the Evo 4G to Straight Talk.
The only issue I ran into was MMS. I had to use a different program to be able to use the MMS on the evo.
I have internet working on it at 3G speeds. I it way faster then Sprint or Boosts internet.
The network is super smooth.
If you are wondering how to flash the Evo over to Straight Talk please let me know.
###########################
Use APN Backup & Restore to backup, erase, then put these apns in the folder, and then restore them. Reboot and your MMS will work. Tested on HTC Androids Only.
Let me if you tested them on another phone.
Yes please post instructions

i thought straight talk was on tmobile which uses completely different frequencies than Sprint and requires a SIM card which the Evo doesn't support?
Yeah.. thats what I thought also, so not sure how it would be possible. He never replied back to my PM.
Probably just a troll.

I've had my Evo 4G flashed to Straight Talk since November 2011, but I can't get anymore to stick on the network. When I flash any HTC now it always says "unable to authenticate", but the internet works. I have the same problem with Verizon prepaid, so my question is does anybody know the solution to get HTC's to stay on the network?

Straight talk uses recycled phones and uses all cellphone providers. My sister started with a Sprint phone, went to Verizon and now has an ATT phone till she found good service at home.

what do you mean by flashed, are you spoofing the ESN of your evo to that of a Straight-talk supported phone? and that is not working?
I was not aware that straight talk supports CDMA phones...
You will need a donor phone from straight talk first. Buy a Samsung or LG cdma from straight talk first. Then let me know once you have that.
You will need to activate it.
Then you will need to copy NV Items 464-465 and 1192-1194
Copy the PRL
Copy the NAM and evdo settings

Im sure ill be hitting you up once I upgrade and will put my evo on pre-paid.
I have everything working on all HTC and LG androids so far. I did get a Samsung Transform with no mms but it worked really fast the Internet.
Post your questions here. I will try to make a tutorial but I will be using cdma workshop.3.8 so it may be slightly different

HTC EVO 4G - prepaid plan

Hey I was wondering if there was a tutorial on how and what I need to config the phone to do this. I have a mint EVO 4G from work that I would like to gift to my sister but she can only do pre paid plans when it comes to mobile.
Right now its rooted and has clockworkmod as ROM manager. What other steps do I need to take and what ROM should I use in order to go pre paid. Lastly is there a preferred pre paid company to use for the device i.e. one that works better than most.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
PS
Its 2.3.3 if that makes a difference. I wasnt sure of the upgrade path to 2.3.5
It's a bit more complicated than just flashing a rom. Depending on the carrier she wants to use I may be able to help, I have had my evo on boost for close to 2 years now.

If she uses cricket I can help you with that one. Have done two og's for myself and a 3vo for my gf. Plus helped others do their og.

Need evo

Ok I need an evo for Rom development and testing I can no longer use the one I have now my contract has been renewed and I have to stick with a Rom that has everything working. If anyone has an evo they are willing to part with I will be grateful. I cannot pay you as I am barely cutting it myself with the cost of living these days. I was trying to fix 4g on cm9 and cm10 but then I had to get my contract renewed and the phone I had the contract on was recently broken so I had the service put on this phone. PM if you are willing to part with your evo
