[Q] Ubuntu on Vega?

Ok i was on youtube the other night and i found that they have ubuntu working on the gtab with only bluetooth not working and problems with the touchscreen so..... could this be possible with the vega as they are similar devices.

Yes, ubuntu can be made to run on the vega
I have it mostly working but have hit some problems with Ubuntu 11.04 which makes it not really suitable to release as yet.
Search over on android.modaco.com for "ubuntu-linux-11-04-natty-on-vega" for details

Ok debenham i went over to the modaco site and found the post but its quite hard to follow so could you keep me/us updated when you have found an easier way to do it?

Hello friends, i need some help from you guys. I am currently stuck in china for 2 years and i bought a lenovo thinkpad 32g 3g. the problem is that lenovo doesnt allow access to google store. so i am having great difficulty to find applications for my tablet. I was wondering if there was a safe way to change my rom from chinese stock to another one where i wont get any of these chinese restrictions. Kindly note that i am an absolute beginner in this field. so i wont understand complex ways of doing it. the maximum i managed so far, is only to get my device rooted. Any suggestions from expert friends out there? Thanks.

To my knowledge there is no way around the Chinese Internet firewalls. And for the future please(plz) post in the proper section this has nothing to do with development and should have been posted the the Question(Q&A) section.

My interest was not to by pass chinese firewall...this can already be done by proxy server like freegate.... i wanted to know if someone could modify a script that i could apply, so that for the next update my phone will get updated to the row version instead of the sw.

[Q] Acer W700 Multi Boot W8/Android

Hi all
I want to install a mutli boot W8/android and I've already boot on "android-x86-4.2-20121225" (without install) with my W700 but the wifi is not recognized.
Tactil works fine
Can you help me to find a version of android who recognized the wifi card of W700 please...?

You can up what you want, but you won't get any help here. This ain't W700's forum. I don't think xda has a forum for the W700.

hello. i already checked and i haven't found answers with what i'm about to ask. as i read more and more about modding and stuff, more questions come up: i own a motorola defy xt535 red lens
1. how can i check the bootloader version of a sbf file?
2. is there a sbf ONLY for eastern europe region or something near Romania?
3.is it can be possible to flash from sd card?
4. what is CG version?
5. what does this stand for 4.5.1_128 --> BL5 - CG31.smg version is 5 ?
6. what is TBP-1540-0-4017-A03_sec_moto_RFM which sometimes is replaced with dmp, as in dmp-4480-0-4017-a01_rfm
