This is a rom based on a Froyo dump from the HTC Wildfire(Previous version on a Legend dump for 2.1).
It *IS* Sense based, and basically seems to work, but if your phone explodes, catches fire, or causes impotence don't blame me.
use at your own risk.
Thanks

Another Legend Rom for the Eris
I wonder, are any of you able to shut your phones off without adb/battery pull?

its funny u say this is based of of Darch's ROM..im currently testing his port of this ROM.
boy are u gonna hit a TON of bumps along the way LOL, this has to be one of the hardest ports on a ROM ive seen so far.

I was playing with his port on my Hero and liked what I saw, figured I'd try it out on the Eris.
So far it seems to be working pretty well. Granted I've only been running it for a very short time so we'll see what happens
Just uploaded a new version that fixes the ADB at boot and should kill the superuser FCs as well.
Will be flashing to this over the weekend. Thanks for your hard work.

I would start with heading over to the dev section and either:
- Read this about how to make sure you are running the most recent ota update. All you need is a few mins and a microSD card (Vache's thread) http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1113878
- Update to the early release of 3.1 - i find browsing much improved, but never had any real issues beyond an occasional force close - I personally find browsing to be much faster and stable with 3.1
Very easy to update to early release of 3.1 and roll it back whenever Acer releases the official 3.1 now that the community has cwm working and both 3.0.x and early 3.1 are rootable
You could also try some of the custom ROMs from the dev section - I have not done so myself yet, have not had the free time - but I hear very good things about them.
Hope that helped a little.
rouge app not playing nice
You might wanna Dona factory reset on your tablet.backup your data only reinstall your apps back one at a time and test browser experience between app usage. That will help you maybe find the bad app if it is the issue
Hope this helps

So you don't want to solve your problems? Doing a factory reset takes less then 5 mins of effort, checking your version of honeycomb and upgrading to the latest official OTA build takes less then 20 mins, installing the unofficial 3.1 also takes about 20 mins of effort.
How about some actual useful data about your issue? What version are you running? What web page is causing you so many issues? Have you taken the time to read Vache's OTA update thread (I even linked it in my previous response) and ensured you are even up to date on your software?
If you cannot take the time and trouble to provide us with data we can use to point you in the right direction you should go ahead and delete this thread - we cannot fix your a500 for you, but we can point you in the right direction so you can solve your problem.
Web browsing is amazing on my a500 - fast, responsive and stable. If you want to provide some useful data so we can get yours working the same, I will be happy to help all I can.
I don't know if I'm the only one to notice this, but every. single. rom. after HKTW has been an asbolutely lag fest on when using your finger for 'slide to unlock'. When I first isntalled HKTW I was so satisfied and exclaimed "FINALLY, SMOOTH UNLOCK BAR GOODNESS".
Unfortunately this glee was not met with any custom roms based on source code since. I dunno what happened. I never noticed any improvements anywhere else in phone usability besides the lockscreen between these roms and I'm just hoping someone has an answer or knows what I'm talking about.
Alien rom - No dice
Cherry pi - no dice
CM7 - sad to say, no dice. However has the most utility out of all the other roms available which is amazing.
Widget locker doesn't help. Silly tricks from droid X2 (who has the same problems but managed to fix somehow..) don't help. Removing blur (CM7 does this right?) didn't do anything. I'm really confused what else can cause this dual core DUAL CORE PHONE to perform so horrendously on the basic basic of tasks: swipe to unlock.
I apologize if this sounded angry, I just want someone to feel my pain.

I don't feel your pain. My lock screen unlocks at a 1000fps. Almost too smooth, on Cyanogenmod!
I've rarely seen any lockscreen lag either..and when I did it was usually from SetCpu being too low for Screen Off. The only constant in your scenario (multiple ROM's) is your phone..which probably has something on it (app) interacting with it funny would be my guess..
This is EXCELLENT news then!
As far as I know there are no apps running that create this issue. (to my limited knowledge of course!) symptoms are felt on fresh wipe and install of any rom BUT HKTW.
Is there a deeper wipe I can use on the phone to ensure every byte of data is completely ERADICATED before installing cyanogenmod? I'm willing to try anything except taking her back to the store.
Apologies for my enthusiam.

"fastboot erase system -w" I believe will do a much better wipe than just doing it thru CWM. Someone please correct me if i'm wrong though..

Update:
Fastboot wipe didn't help me at all. I installed Alien 4 today and no joy.
Went back to HKTW and everything is working the way I expect it to.
I have to be doing something wrong, no way this super duper beta software is more stable for me than all the other roms. I've been using Navalynt's HKTW rollup fix mod.
Is it kernel related possibly? I'm so curious I want to start developing just to see if there's a major difference..
I am using Pi-Cust and I too had lag with the stock lockscreen but with widget locker, I see no lag what so ever. I tried beta 1 of CM7 and I didn't see any lag in the lockscreen there either. It is definitely a blur thing. If you use Widget locker, make sure you disable the stock lockscreen though.
HKTW Gives no lag with stock lockscreen. All other roms show no difference between widget locker and stock lockscreen besides the utilitiy the app gives (widgets on lockscreen, custom slider etc). I'm sure blur can be an issue but I'm not experiencing any, I just installed HKTW and everything works perfectly. =\ I skipped blur setup as usual and have no problems..
Update:
Installed Faux123's kernel and it broke everything. I get the feeling I'm the only person interested in this (maybe not many people have tried HKTW?)
Incase anyone is.. Here is the rom I'm using.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1142674
however it bootloops if you install it over CM7. I installed Alien 4 and then HKTW on top to stabilize. If you full wipe like usual and install HKTW it bootloops. =\
If it helps, when HKTW was first released I used the fastboot method of install. Not sure if that clues anyone into my issue or not.
Hi
Since KP2 is released with Working modem and calls are working I would appreciate if DEV's possibly could give us a few Tips to run this as smoothly as possible.
KP2 although faster has still a bit of force closes so any help in reducing this will be greatly appreciated.
I'll Try to post a few things I find around the forums to get all in one place.
I9100XXKP2 DOWNLOAD
http://www.sammobile.com/2011/12/18/...r-sgs2-custom/
1. Flashing via ODIN
Code > PDA
Modem > Phone
Is all you need to flash via Odin, rest can be remained untouched
2. Trebuchet Launcher by cyanmod
Is an ICS launcher and a good replacement for TW (will try to find the download link. I found TW force closes a lot on me so this works perfect.
3. Remove the Red Click Highlight Box
Go to Apps > Dev Tools > Development settings > strictmode visual indicator > put it in OFF MODE
Nice thread mate!
Just posted these tips elsewhere:
In order to get the best possible experience with these leaked ROMs you need to:
* Install the Bezke XXKP1/2 ROM (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1393569) - Flashable through CWM and is pre-rooted and also has the RIL fixes for 3G data
* Change the default keyboard to the standard Android one as soon as you can one to stop the keyboard FC's.
* Install the Trebuchet launcher (http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=821149&d=1324230099) - and place it in /system/app folder. It should open when you press the home button. Set it as the default launcher.
* Stop the media scanner from running - it's a BIG battery drainer - go to Settings/Applications/Running and stop it there, and also stop the cached process
* Turn off key press sounds and lock screen sounds - having these on causes a continuous partial partial wave lock called 'AudioOut_1' - battery drainer
* Install these Calendar apks (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=19448865&postcount=2) in /system/app to get the calendar working. Once in /system/app, click on them both to install them. The Calendar will now work
* If you want to use the Contacts.apk and Phone.apk from the 'vanilla' ICS ROM (instead of the installed TW ones) download those APK's (http://www.multiupload.com/6T0019180O) and put them in /system/app. Don't install the MMS.apk though it will break things!
* Turn off the red border from appearing on some screens by going to the Dev Tools App > Development settings > strictmode visual indicator > put it in OFF MODE - then reboot for this to take effect
Battery life then falls to normal levels. Be aware though that when you connect your phone to your computer to transfer files etc, that a media scan will be run again when you disconnect. You'll have to force stop the media scan again otherwise it will keep running.
This should be a sticky! Is there a way to get the stock ics notification bar?, samsung's bar is horrendous

Nice One @Interfreak some awesome tips there...
I guess I'll leave it in your post as you are second anyway.. will see if we get another leak before christmas which might be better than the KP2
Hi, thanks for this thread, let's hope it build up.
I am using the Sam mobile KP2 leak, flashed using mobile Odin (code and modem) and have removed tw and the hubs. I use Nova launcher and replaced gallery with quikpic .
I am using default hardware acceleration.
I use TouchPal keyboard.
So far, I have not had any issues with media scanner at all.
I get closes occasionally, but they usually start find the second attempt.
I have started playing with the 3g settings in build.prop but have not found any good tweaks yet in there.
Has anyone been able to investigate the governor yet? I can't help feel that it is using a Dev setting that is causing the closes.. .

hey fellas
everything seems to work pretty good now... only thing i noticed so far is i cannot import contacts from my sim card... whats up with that? where are my contacts
thanks in advance
A tip that I just thought of (and enabled):
Download the SlideIT keyboard from the Android market and then get the SlideIT ICS skin in viola - you have a very close approximation of Swype working with your ICS build.
New edition of my mod for Contact.apk and Dial.apk and Mms.apk with standard ics graphics

With these quick fixes in place, is this really workable as a daily? I'm only slightly impatient for ICS love so if there are still a lot of annoying niggles I won't bother...

Not worth it until ICS is faster/better than 2.3.6, which it currently is not. It's fun to play with though to see what samsung has in store for us for next year!
The room looks nice, here are some problems that I'm experiencing :
- lots of force closes on settings page
- Some random fc with android process acore
- Facebook app doesn't show Any fonts. Really weird this one
- some random crashes with phone and contacts apps (aosp)
One thing that surprised me : battery life is good overall!
Can't wait for devs to tinker with the rom.

It's a good new indeed. But don't understand why you're waiting for JB to use the tablet.
As I know JB is a "minor" update, and Thinkpad with ICS's working very fine for me (not like the crappy 3.1 !!!)
Loving my TPT on ICS, I don't care for JB on it, I just want root access!
Thank's to Koshu!
I've successfully installed CM10 v. 0.5, but have problem with layout switch on external Thinkpad Folio keyboard. "CTRL+SCPACE" combination doesn't work. It's annoying to change layout through settings..
It'll be good to change input language by pressing "Sym" key on keyboard as it were in original firmware.
P.S. Can't post it to dev forum.
wow, great work Koshu!
Outstanding job! Works great! Screen lock works fantastic!
Quick question: using adwlauncher and the screen draws sometimes get a bit messed up. The only scroll method that works is regular side to side bounce. Any thoughts?
Thanks again and awesome job!
Interesting just changed density hack option for icons. Unchecked screens are not useable. Checked screen useable but screen draws sometimes get messed up. Would this have something to do with the density issue you mention?
Also, noticed Gallery app doesn't show synced account photos fro Google. Not sure how to fix this.
Latest update - v5, Bluetooth appears to be broken
I saw this in the developer thread, but I'm not allowed to post there yet.
I wanted to confirm that I am also seeing the problem with Bluetooth not being able to turn on, after apply v5 of this ROM. Everything else seems to be working great, though.
Update: Oops, sorry, I guess this thread is for Thinkpad, not the Ideapad K1. My comments apply to the latter.

Yep that is correct.
Since I am still a few posts short of the required 10 for posting in the development section I will give my feedback here.
Koshu released an experimental version 0.8 today, I installed it and ran into one rather annoying problem, the browser button seems to disable not only touch input, but also pen input. I have already wiped and reflashed, if I can provide any helpful logs or some such just let me know it.

OTA 3.5 was pretty awesome as well, but it was the annoying little details that lenovo couldn't get fxed.
Noticed that copy and paste doesn't seem to work with cm10. Am I doing sth. wrong?
I'm still on 0.7 cause I need 3G.

ah ok, thanks. it showed while I tried to post here and over at official lenovo forum. maybe its related to forum sites...
I think it's the recent firefox update. It seems it is very hard to even press a link now. this was better before.
so no blame to koshus great work!
This policy of the 10 posts before posting on the development forum is driving me crazy. I have a lot of questions on this rom but zero answers...
...let's try anyway...
I am experiencing a relevant and annoying issue: when I plug the hdmi cable in, there is a significant drop in responsiveness. For instance, Lecture Notes becomes almost unusable. Any clues? I didn't notice this problem before with the stock kernel. Can it be related to a driver issue?
My first post here... let me just say thanks for the awesome work with CM10 on the TPT Kosh!
I flashed 0.8.1 on my TPT last night which had a SC rom (lots of Chinese apps etc). It works well but I have noticed the TPT is rebooting randomly. Doesn't seem to be consistant as I can watch a 40 minute video, let it sit idle for 3-4 hours with no reboot.
Anyone else have these issues? Is there any log files I can look at to see what is causing it to reboot?
