This is a rom based on a Froyo dump from the HTC Wildfire(Previous version on a Legend dump for 2.1).
It *IS* Sense based, and basically seems to work, but if your phone explodes, catches fire, or causes impotence don't blame me.
use at your own risk.
Thanks
The Wildfire gang for leaking this rom.

Umm, not quite sure what you mean. It is BASED on a Hero rom, I'm porting it to Eris
i got it to boot all the way trough. I waited for superuser to FC and then went all the way through and have had no issues

Another Legend Rom for the Eris
I wonder, are any of you able to shut your phones off without adb/battery pull?

Not so far. I've fixed the SU lock up, and'll have another upload in the morning.
its funny u say this is based of of Darch's ROM..im currently testing his port of this ROM.
boy are u gonna hit a TON of bumps along the way LOL, this has to be one of the hardest ports on a ROM ive seen so far.
Mirrored on my site: http://android.grdlock.net//index.php?direction=0&order=&directory=punk.kaos roms&
yes same issue cannot shut off phone without pulling battery

I was playing with his port on my Hero and liked what I saw, figured I'd try it out on the Eris.
So far it seems to be working pretty well. Granted I've only been running it for a very short time so we'll see what happens
Just uploaded a new version that fixes the ADB at boot and should kill the superuser FCs as well.
Will be flashing to this over the weekend. Thanks for your hard work.

This is an Eclair 2.0.1 build taken from the 2.0.1 sdk image and parts of the droid/milestone/nexus and the launcher/google apps from manup456's dream build. Settings reads this as 2.1 but it isn't. It's just for compatibility with some nexus apps. The nexus one boot screen is also enabled. I had to remove some apps from system/app so it would fit on nand. They can be installed in your android apps folder on your sdcard or through adb or through an android file manager like astro or pushed to /system/app if running a read/write system image or partiton. This build does not sleep with out the hacked suspend kernel found in the kaiser thread.
Youtube video of the Nexus One bootanimation on the vogue
Downloads:
http://breakaux.com/wp-content/uploads/eclair-221209.zip Bundle with new system image. Do not use the included rootfs.img unless your running from the system.sqsh through haret.
Add on apps

If you don't have the latest basefiles get them at the Sourceforge Android HTC Download Page
Use the newest zImage or nand nbh from dzo @ http://it029000.massey.ac.nz/vogue/files/?C=M;O=D
Kaiser thread containing a Dark themed 2.0.1 build which also works for vogue plus link to hacked suspend kernel. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=600154
Start with a blank data.img or let a new one be created. Wipe /data if running from nand before installing.
This takes a couple minutes for first boot. After the setup ends and your home screen appears there will be a little lag until android is done scanning your sdcard for pictures/music. Check logcat and you'll know what I mean. After it is done scanning this build is very fast.
You can thank vilord for rebuilding the libs for eclair and srwalter for updating the libgps.so for donut.
What works:
Calls
Data
GPS
Maps
Youtube
Gmail
gtalk
Market
Contacts Sync
Native Exchange Support
Not working:
Camera
Voice Dialer/Voice Search (fixed as soon as libaudio.so is rebuilt with dzo's source)
Bluetooth
Exchange Calender Sync (I don't use exchange so let me know)
Suspend/Sleep (partial fix using suspend hacked kernel)
You can edit your default.txt or build.prop after the first boot and change the lcd density to 110 if your running in qvga and this will display the whole dialer and music app correctly.

Great to see work on this!
I read you are not looking for bug-reports, and it says vogue only, but I could not resist trying it out on my Kaiser.
It didn't boot, halted shortly after getting to the system image at mdp_dma_to_midi: busy ..
Thanks for your work ...

I'm staying with donut for a while. The source for eclair isn't even released so theres not much we can do with it right now. The libs for donut aren't working in this build. This was taken from the generic sdk image and it's lacking a lot of functionality.

Thanks for the upload Zen
And yes, can we please keep this thread to Vogue discussions only? After all, this is the Vogue forum. It's getting a wee bit annoying having Vogue threads hijacked with Kaiser/Polaris discussions.
so who likes the new lock screen?
It looks like it may be nice. It slide or anything? or still a press of the menu button to unlock?

you spin the wheel at the bottom to the right to unlock. spin to the right to turn off sound if we had sound working. looks like there will be other options added because there are several spots open for icons on the wheel. it's pretty cool.

I am currently running Ion, and CANNOT wait for this bada$$ 2.0 to be polished ; )
Thanks for your hard work devs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
well 2.0 is going to be a major over haul from what i can tell. once google drops the source code or a device similar to the vogue comes out with 2.0 it should be a lot easier to port. if we could figure out how to get data working with a cdma vendor ril like the verizon droid we would be in business. we should have a leak soon. the phone will hit the shelves in a week or so. the old sholes dump had a umts ril which i havent tried and doubt it will do anything. anyway the next couple weeks should be interesting.
yea maybe that ril will unfudge my data and undo what the sprint one did... native cdma for verizon will be great
off subject: the desire runs sense UI in either 1.6 or 2.0 from what i gather. so that means it 'should' be compatible with 240x320 , yeah yea i kno we have tattoo but im just saying here is for hoping

I know this is a general question , but i was wondering whats up with them. Are they all working the same? Same options, same stuff inside? What are you running and why?
DARCHLEGENDv4.1
I have been testing constantly for the past 4 days. I ran damagev1 for 2 days and really liked it. When the new darchlegend v4.1 came out i started trying to make an aosp like fix for it......And i was successful. So this is my new setup:
-AOSP notification bar
-Pearl colored espresso bar
-Helix Launcher(for AOSP_N1 Look&Feel)
-My LWP Fixes to make them a STABLE part of the rom
-All the rest of the features that are part of the Legend rom
The reasons i chose this rom were because its the newest legend build. My present setup has features that wont even be included in the official 2.1(lwp+N1 launcher +7 screens). Its official, My rom hunt is OVER......FOR NOW....
Cant remember where I read it but somewhere someone linked an image of the release specs for 2.1 and lwps were on it. Not sure if its true or not, but it might be.
I'm also using DarchLegendV4.1 its the snappiest, cleanest, and most fully functioning one I've used so far between both 2.0 fresh roms and damages. But really it comes down to what your looking for they're all pretty functional. The Legend leak has friendstream which is awesome if you use facebook and twitter it also has a google latitude widget which rocks. I was using fresh2.0b2 for quite awhile but with the fresh roms and the damagecontrol one I had issues with my contacts syncing with facebook and grabbing pictures sometimes it did and sometimes it didnt and some times it synced but no picture until they called lol. I'm noticing no sync issues with the legend build (except gmail but out of all of them out so far they all do that on and off).
Well thats my quick review hope it helps, but as a side note if you nandroid back up you cant loose anything by testing them all. My suggestion flash one for a awhile and see if you like then backup and flash another. Hope that helps.
DamageControl v1.0
- at the time I flashed it, it was the only fully functional 2.1 ROM
- the smoothness, speed, and responsiveness of my Hero now is like an iCan't (absolutely no lag)
- everything functions perfectly - trackball light, LED, sync, contacts, MMS, EVERYTHING
- even w/ a pig like Home++ it's amazingly fast
* only thing is I WISH is that it came w/ the stock Android notification bar (white)
I was running DC 1.0, but found out that stereo blue-tooth actually works on the stock Rom so now I am back to stock until the release!
I was having really bad skips and pauses with any Rom so I just figured it was A2DP just sucked, but for some reason it just sucks on all the Roms that I have tried, and I have tried at least 15 of them! Found out day before yesterday someone else was having the same issue as I and went back to the stock Rom and everything was perfect!
Ok guysv thanks. What about thaat gumbo kernal? Is that included with all of the 2.1 roms. Should i also flash that new radio too? Freshes rom.

An "Unleashed" 2.1 .
what is that?
Its a fast secret, lol. Its pretty much bits and pieces of the Legend and Incredible dump.
im soooo bored at work lol care to share?
I went back to Gumbo 1.5c. Reason being is that there are still too many bugs on all the 2.1 releases. This also means im done making different themes on 2.1. Its because every single 2.1 ROM uses different frameworks some older than others...If I make it for one not everyone will be happy because they cant use it on another...oh well....
im nand restoring as we speak my time without signal just started freaking out with 94% time with out signal...i can wait a week or so plus i kinda forgot how 1.5 feels haha

Have you tried the "Huge Battery Life Fix" thread? fixed mine, 24 hours later still not an issue any more.
Darchlegend 4.1 may not be quite as smooth as damages rom for some people but I'm loving it so far mns was my biggest deciding factor though
Kind of a pointless post but if anyones interested heres my observations thus far from flashing the three things i listed below. I'm really enjoying it overall. So I dont know which has the problems.. I have DJ05 modem, Stock DJ05 rom unrooted, and geeknik superfast (always current) test release kernal.
Tetris is broken no matter what I do... (I paid for it :'c ) tried restoring it with titanium... installing with the apk from my friends phone / putting the apk in the apps folder... and even downloading the similar one from the apps market. No go they either dont show up or freeze on boot up. i loved that version of tetris! QQ
V. Visual voicemail, for some reason when my face gets close to the sensor it turns off my visual voicemail. so ?I can only use it with speakerphone and face up. I know google voice does the same thing, I like VVM.
Swype... when I correct a word it will one in five times put the corrected word at the end of the paragraph instead of replacing the highlighted word. cant figure out why
as for the good. reception seems more reliable... 3g seems more reliable... phone feels faster... battery lasts longer... gps works properly... life is good
one day when we get proper flash, i will be truly happy!
Very odd regarding swype, mine worked perfectly after DJ05 update. JT's new clean DJ05 has the updated swype, you should install that and see if it fixes your problem. Good luck
Can someone check a possible bug for me, go to either email\gmail click on settings and then click on select ringtone, do you get a FC?
Tetris plays fine for me.

Samsung Fascinate Eclair 2.1
Rooted, ClockworkMod, Busybox, Titanium backup, SU, TW Launcher
DJ05 Happy Running GREAT!!!
updated to DJO5 for about three weeks - Everything's running GREAT
Super Dark v.1
JT 12 / 12 Kernal (non voodoo)
ROM is Outstanding
GPS lock in less than 5 sec
New Swype
new Market
new contact
gmail
Launcher pro Plus
Life is GOOD!!!
My Fascinate Solid
Next Move - 2.2 / 2.3 Rooted
everything works great for me ...when I installed dj05 modem then got to the clockwork menur when to the partion menu before flashing & I mounted the system data then the flashed super clean v.9 rom with stupid fast oc kernel evything works fine dont know about VVW cant stand it bloat ware swyp A ok
"It works fine for me as long as I have previously enabled the Email notifications check box."
I second that.
Dj05 actually solved some really weird shutdown/startup behavior I had.
A lot of times I'd power down my phone and it would start right back up again... sometimes it would take a really long time or just freeze powering down. Weird stuff like that........ all fixed
I think geekniks has the updated swype as well because its different... there seems to be more spacing between the letters. swype in general is being really weird. I might try JT's...... I think geekniks is built off JTs though
not sure.
Overall, I'm loving DJ05. I have 2 problems so far, both minor.
Video player and My Uploads FC on boot up (solved this by deleting both, lol)
Many thanks to Kwiboo first for making a mostly daily ICS rom.
I flashed it last night and would like to talk about some bugs.
1. "android.process.acore" error
It comes frequently after using a third part Contacts Sync App.
That is to say, only System Account Sync is OK to avoid this error.
2. Apps bugs
a. "root explorer" UI error.
b. "QQ" force quit.
Other function is still tested, but so far so good.
I can't wait any longer for the next more perfect version.
Come on Kwiboo !
ICS from Kwiboo is really nice enough to be a daily ICS rom.
Posting here to say thanks to kwiboo! ****ty 10 post to write in dev section! xD
And with franco kernel it's awesome!
Anyway to get rid of the flashing screen on lock?
I noticed Google Wallet won't work. It says something about insufficient privileges. Which sucks because I actually use Google Wallet.
Nevermind about the flashing screen. It disappeared after flashing the new version of the kernel! : )
damn it
have to post 10 posts before starting a thread... i am not gonnaa forget my account again,<3 android, was, is, always

I noticed that GoSMS is unable to load my contacts, just shows phones #'s. I assume it's due to GoSMS not being ICS compatible?
I also signed up to say thanks for this So if you read this kwiboo.. thanks
I have a NexusS i9020XXKD1 (Wind/Tmo)
I am running kwiboo's v2
patched with Franco (No OC)
For the most part everything works, I have found these problems.
In addition to kwiboo's issues
Not working at this time:
Enhanced Email app (FC, Based on GB Email app, needs to update)
Viber app (FC)
VPN PPTP (Doesn't connect, worked fine in 2.3.7)
Google Wallet v5 Patch (FC)
Occasional Lockups (1-2x a day, attribute to Franco's kernel, if I had to guess)
Go SMS works alright, but your contacts are deleted in the flashing process, no Google services yet, no market but will be fixed in near future (I hope)

Hi
Since KP2 is released with Working modem and calls are working I would appreciate if DEV's possibly could give us a few Tips to run this as smoothly as possible.
KP2 although faster has still a bit of force closes so any help in reducing this will be greatly appreciated.
I'll Try to post a few things I find around the forums to get all in one place.
I9100XXKP2 DOWNLOAD
http://www.sammobile.com/2011/12/18/...r-sgs2-custom/
1. Flashing via ODIN
Code > PDA
Modem > Phone
Is all you need to flash via Odin, rest can be remained untouched
2. Trebuchet Launcher by cyanmod
Is an ICS launcher and a good replacement for TW (will try to find the download link. I found TW force closes a lot on me so this works perfect.
3. Remove the Red Click Highlight Box
Go to Apps > Dev Tools > Development settings > strictmode visual indicator > put it in OFF MODE
Nice thread mate!

In order to get the best possible experience with these leaked ROMs you need to:
* Install the Bezke XXKP1/2 ROM (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1393569) - Flashable through CWM and is pre-rooted and also has the RIL fixes for 3G data
* Change the default keyboard to the standard Android one as soon as you can one to stop the keyboard FC's.
* Install the Trebuchet launcher (http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=821149&d=1324230099) - and place it in /system/app folder. It should open when you press the home button. Set it as the default launcher.
* Stop the media scanner from running - it's a BIG battery drainer - go to Settings/Applications/Running and stop it there, and also stop the cached process
* Turn off key press sounds and lock screen sounds - having these on causes a continuous partial partial wave lock called 'AudioOut_1' - battery drainer
* Install these Calendar apks (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=19448865&postcount=2) in /system/app to get the calendar working. Once in /system/app, click on them both to install them. The Calendar will now work
* If you want to use the Contacts.apk and Phone.apk from the 'vanilla' ICS ROM (instead of the installed TW ones) download those APK's (http://www.multiupload.com/6T0019180O) and put them in /system/app. Don't install the MMS.apk though it will break things!
* Turn off the red border from appearing on some screens by going to the Dev Tools App > Development settings > strictmode visual indicator > put it in OFF MODE - then reboot for this to take effect
Battery life then falls to normal levels. Be aware though that when you connect your phone to your computer to transfer files etc, that a media scan will be run again when you disconnect. You'll have to force stop the media scan again otherwise it will keep running.
This should be a sticky! Is there a way to get the stock ics notification bar?, samsung's bar is horrendous

Nice One @Interfreak some awesome tips there...
I guess I'll leave it in your post as you are second anyway.. will see if we get another leak before christmas which might be better than the KP2
Hi, thanks for this thread, let's hope it build up.
I am using the Sam mobile KP2 leak, flashed using mobile Odin (code and modem) and have removed tw and the hubs. I use Nova launcher and replaced gallery with quikpic .
I am using default hardware acceleration.
I use TouchPal keyboard.
So far, I have not had any issues with media scanner at all.
I get closes occasionally, but they usually start find the second attempt.
I have started playing with the 3g settings in build.prop but have not found any good tweaks yet in there.
Has anyone been able to investigate the governor yet? I can't help feel that it is using a Dev setting that is causing the closes.. .

thanks in advance
A tip that I just thought of (and enabled):
Download the SlideIT keyboard from the Android market and then get the SlideIT ICS skin in viola - you have a very close approximation of Swype working with your ICS build.
New edition of my mod for Contact.apk and Dial.apk and Mms.apk with standard ics graphics

With these quick fixes in place, is this really workable as a daily? I'm only slightly impatient for ICS love so if there are still a lot of annoying niggles I won't bother...

Was wondering the same thing.. anyone? Is it worth installing or is it better to wait for a more stable build?
Its OK to run as a daily, if you don't mind tinkering with it a fair bit.

Not worth it until ICS is faster/better than 2.3.6, which it currently is not. It's fun to play with though to see what samsung has in store for us for next year!
The room looks nice, here are some problems that I'm experiencing :
- lots of force closes on settings page
- Some random fc with android process acore
- Facebook app doesn't show Any fonts. Really weird this one
- some random crashes with phone and contacts apps (aosp)
One thing that surprised me : battery life is good overall!
Can't wait for devs to tinker with the rom.
