Backup - Upgrede - Restore. - Atrix 4G General

Hi to all,
Gentlemen, and ladies of course.
I have an Atrix "Bell" , Custom image.
Rooted
Deoxed
Android Version : 2.2.2
Baseband : N_01.87.00R
Kernel : 2.6.32.9
Build number: OLYEM_U4_1.4.2
System version: Version.4.1.42.MB860.Telstra.en.AU
Now its a BELL phone. had to hack it to the Telstra 2.2.2, at that time.
Can I backup all my apps and data and upgrade to the newest BELL and restore after rooting and deoxing. ?
If yes please paste the links.
Thank you in Advance.
PS: any other version should be fine, anything that supports Arabic Lang will be the best.

SERIOUS trouble rooting my DEFY+ [ Please help :'( ]

I bought my defy+ on the 3rd of May 2012..
It came pre-installed with android 2.3.6
System Version: 45.0.2310.MB526.AsiaRetail.en.03
Android version: 2.3.6
Baseband version: EPU93_U_00.60.03
Kernel version: [email protected] #1
Build number: 4.5.1-134_DFP-231
I wanna root it.
I tried the following, but they just didn't work:
1. SuperOneClick (all the versions).
2. Easy root AAD
I'm just about to loose my mind.
I heard that the moto defy+ comes out with a new un-rootable chinese ROM.
And that is just fueling my disappointment with this device.
Please guide me as I'm fairly new to this stuff.
P.S.: 1 more silly question.. Without rooting my device, can i flash my device with a custom ROM (eg. Cyanogen mod 7, etc.) which is previously rooted ?

when you update via ota no files are deleted and updating to latest version is always good thing to do.

The firmware updates are usually for stability, new kernels etc. These firmwares updates are not applicable to custom roms.
Nope data isn't lost in OTA updates. Not sure about the KIES ones but I reckon they wont do anything bad.

I think you're going to apply the OTA Updates for the ROM you're using. Am I right? Well, you can apply it SAFELY by following instructions carefully.
Press THANKS
