Even though I got my new phone back in July I think it's also necessary to say thank you Mur4ik and all you other rom developers! Swiftdroid was always my rom of choice, I kinda miss CM7 but it's not available on the Galaxy Ace yet thanks all anyway

Absaloutly pal. Ill be swaping my sensation after a week or so for a Galaxy S2 so i can compare the 2 dual core Demons.
For sensation (stock) 2700 - 3100
GS2 (stock) 3200-3400
GS2 with custom rom 4100's haha quite a significant difference from the Gt540.

Its very easy , and there loads of tutorials on how to.
What you need to do is , Root bye superoneclick,Get clockwork from rom manager, then flash a XXJVQ or what ever from Samfirmware.com then install the rom .zip Easier than our phones (KDZ updater)
The easiest will still be the nexus series all u need to do is boot into boot loader unlock and flash a new rom

You dont actually need to flash CMW, Samsung Stock Recovery works fine for installing .zip's

After listening to u guys talk about aces recovery mode it makes ours a pain in the ass to install
Its really easy, to root: install update.zip in Samsung recovery, unrooting is the same and then you install CMW from ROM manager

There are no real ones.
One is a miui version with theme and different launcher...
Just flash it over again, wipe cache and dalvik cache. That's the updating way.
New rom :wipe everything , do backup (titanium backup etc) and flash & restore

i don't know if you saw this...it might be a "skinned" MIUI like the above post suggests.
but the chef (my fellow country man!) seems to claim its a samsung galaxy s2 rom for the HD2:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1420575
seems to be simple and stable judging from the specifications and screenshots.
EDIT: it does seem to be an MIUI based build with a highly modified samsung touch wiz launcher. so it probably will be fast and stable, but will probably lack samsung's apps. try it and let us know!

Its just theme + launcher + miui
..
The launcher was hacked to work on all roms by the one who the dev is giving credit to..
I used that launcher on my own rom which I tried after failing to port a real galaxy rom..

[Q] Which custom rom to start with???

I used to flash my last Note N7000 every now and then, I was a gr8 fan of villain rom/criskelo and kingdroid etc .....
But it was last year, after that I bought N7100 (after selling n7000) in January .....since then Im using stock rom with root (stock kernel)....
But now again, I feel like using a custom rom but when I visited the "Android Development" and "Original Android Development" section in N7100 , I got confused which rom to start with as there are so many roms/kernels.... I think Im very late to visit this section....
Can anybody plz suggest which rom and kernel is popular among u which has better stability/functionality and also suggest me a better kernel like I had Philz/Hydracore kernel for n7000 last year..... ????
I'm going to suggest something that is the complete opposite of the ROM I imagine you actually want. Maybe you should live in someone else's shoes for a while:
CM10.1 nightlies.

device : note2
ROM : cm10.1 nightl
Best rom threads are frowned upon on xda because there are to many user variables to say one rom is best. Best to try some and find the one that works best for you personally.

[Q] touch wiz roms

Hello all question is there a link that lists all the touch wiz base roms for galaxy S4 ? ATT preferred
if not can someone recommend a Rom similar to original Samsung touch wiz just modified to run better, smother then stock
I do not mind touch wiz just wanted to try something better.
There are so many of these forums out. Do some research before posting. Asking for the "best" rom is like asking the best food. Everyone's opinion is different. Go flash roms and try them out. Plus noone here can help you because we don't know you let alone the version of phone you are using. My best guess is an mk2 or mf3 device

[Q] Need help choosing a rom

Hey guys,
Sorry for the noob question but I wanted to hear some of your opinions on this.
I got my Note 9005 shortly and after finally getting the Network to work, I decided to flash CM11 for now. I love CM11 but for a phone like the Note 3 which has an insane number of cool features, its not the best.
The problem is, I would use the stock rom for all the features but I absoloutely hate Samsungs UI and with the trouble ive been having with Odin, I thought id ask if there was a different rom I could use?
Is there some sort of alternative to the stock rom which:
1) I can flash with recovery
2) Has alot of the stock rom features
3) Does not look like a child made it (sorry to people who like TouchWiz)
I hope someone can help.
Thank you!
Better go for heavily themed roms based on stock rom

Hi, i have read it. Why dont you try some AOSP ROM: C-rom, Cacbon Rom
Carbon rom looks good but im more looking for something that takes full advantage of the Notes features not just Androids customizability.
If you really like "features" you may want to try a stock based rom like Omega or XNote
