[Q] Big problem with android - Huawei Ideos X5 U8800

I have Miui newst version installed.. but then it got jammed.. i removed battery from phone and restarted.. anrdoid didnt start.. well i was going to make a fresh install with it.. but no.. i had no install package on internal sd anymore... and i cant get it there anyway.. any suggestion.. have cwm version 5.0.2.3 i cant mount ext. sd card in mounts and storages..says only error mounting /sd-ext! and i cant use mount usb storage coz it says E: Unable to write to ums lunfile (No such file or directory)! is there anyway to get install zip to internal sd or install os from external sd?.. or do i throw this phone to a lake..?

Did you try to remove the SD Card from the phone and plug it in your PC directly (with some card reader)?

there is internal and external sd in this phone.... and cwm allows installing only from internal sd.. and i think u cant remove it from phone.. :/.. its internal..

The phone has a partition with 2GB which is used for internal sdcard storage and also have a slot to mount an external sdcard. And cwm recovery use external sd card.
Do you have an external sdcard mounted?

Are you installing the zip from the external SD card or the internal? It should be run from on your internal SD card

plus if u use an external SD card don't forget to remove it before installation and then proceed
best to keep the files on the internal storage when flashing

[HELP] Recovery doesn't read/mount my external SD...

Good, I have the latest version of the MIUI (2.1.13) and CWM 4.0.0.5 and I can not mount the external SD in CWM (this only reads/mounts internal).
I'll try to explain what is wrong with me ...
With external storage in x5 settings:
- CWM gives error when you mount the external sd.
- CWM just read the sdcard or internal sdcard.
- In the root explorer in the sd-ext has nothing.
- in the root explorer the sdcard folder has my files of the external card (strange I think).
- Connected to the PC can see both cards as the external is drive H: andinternal as drive I:
With internal storage x5 settings:
- CWM gives error when you mount the external sd.
- CWM just read the card or internal sdcard.
- In the root explorer in the sd-ext has nothing.
- In the root explorer in sdcard folder has the default rom files.
- I can not see the external sd root anywhere in explorer.
- Connected to the PC can see both cards as the external drive I: and internal as drive H: (exchange units in relation to external storage - WEIRD!)
I've tried to put my phone with al factory settings (TMN original ROM (portugal) and pink screeen files) then root and install all CWM recovery's but with everyone of them i can not mount or install (read) from my external sd in the recovery...
What worries me most is that I can only install Roms from the internal sd, so if one day can not make it boot the phone I'm F *****...
Someone can help me solve this?
now when i connect to pc i see my sdcard as a cd drive...i can see the files but i can't change anything what is going on?
On project menu, which appears with #*#*2846975*#*# on official 2.3(doesn' t work on miui AFAIK) there is a menu related to sd card. I've read before some time that someone fix this CD kind mount problem from there. I think that the enabled option is GOOGLE. If not, change it to that, reboot and see if the problem solved. Otherwise try the other options.
2nd problem solved...thanks!
What about my problem about recovery and external sd?
Try to check the card from pc, and maybe backup and refromat it to fat32.
SOLVED!!!!
Good news!
Can you post how, so the solution be available for others with same problem?

[Q] ColdBlue 10.1 - Mount to PC & InternalSD Card Problem

Hey folks,
This is my first post. I have a problem.I installed http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2337235 this rom, in right order. Follow all Steps. Now my u8800 show me an Error that android.media is not responding or freezed. If i want to use my Camera a message pops up and show that i don't have a external sd storage card, but i ve an InternalSD with 2 gigs @ Stock all works fine and internalSD was found by my cam. if i go to settings->storage -> storage configuration -> use InternalSD for apps nothing happened. Further my cam pops this message above. at storage i could click on sdcard enable, after this i got asked if i want to format my sdcard i tapped on yes and now i could use my sdcard and use option of internalsd usage. My cam is now working, but after all i can't get rid of the following error ->
Next Error is if i connect my phone with my pc no internalSD show up ( i click on prepare sd card on phone ), so i can't plant the gapps for 4.2.2 on my internalSD to install gapps. Something weird if i click on prepare sdcard so my u8800 gets recognized by my pc and should show my 2 gig sdcard, a message pops out that i can take my sdcard out, but this is my internalSD card?! After all nothing gets mounted, if i click on this popup and enable sd card again the message prepare ur sdcard is coming up again i click on prepare and the cicle starts over and over...
Any Ideas, with this errors my u8800 can't be used...
hope u could help me

Edit://
Now if i want to mount with cmw 5.5.0.4 my internal sdcard it also couldn't be mounted. Hell ya what i doin wrong?
Edit2://
After i did the repartition i ve 1 gb internal storage, but my cam wants external storage, if i took in a sd card, cam went to normal. I go into Cam settings Storage -> Use Internal Storage. Remove the sdcard, want to start my Cam so it uses the internal storage, but an Error popped and show no external media is insert and exits... and i can't mount my internal storage as before...
Edit3://
What is weird is that if i have an EXTERNAL sd card it get mounted on my pc, if i remove the external and wants to get my Internal SD Mounted i get the message, SDCard is ready to remove and now i ven't any "internal" storage under Storage option... if i want to remove the dalvik cache error message is shown "./sd-ext not found" its sounds that the sym-link to this folder is set to the wrong path, i think this have to be set to my "internal" storage, i think thats the problem at all so my "internal" storage can be mounted as usb storage. Any Ideas to set the sym-link to the right place or fix my internal/usb Storage Problem?
Need rly help guys

[Q] sd not responding

Hi,
i have problem with sd card
i dont have sistem installed and i cant mount sd card
when i connect phone to computer it doesnt recognize it
i tried in download mode but the same thing happens
i have CWM v 5.0.2.8 installed
when it try to mount sd card it says: unable to write to ums lunfile (no such file or directory)
Can someone help?
first backup any data you have on your sd card
connect sd card to pc via card reader
remove all partitions with minitool (google it) and create a new partition of fat32 and format it with minitool
next boot up your phone with the sd card in
goto
settings
storage
unmount sd card
erase/format sd card
now go into cwm - you sd card will now be mountable
you can then copy any backups back to sd card
An odin connection does not require an sd card - if odin is not connected you either dont have the usb drivers installed or you have a faulty usb cable/port
I think you didnt see that i have no system on mobile
I cant go to settings

flash stock rom via odin - it doesnt require an sd card
if your odin doesnt show a connection under com id then you havent installed the usb drivers
you can format your sd on a pc via a card reader with mini tool as already explained
