PS: Yes i really donate 20 euro... because its better to give to someone who helping here people instead of giving it to shop that will ask 100 or to toss the phone... I hope a programmer can make one custom rom that will recover somehow the phone...

Wrong rom. You don't have hspl installed, you have stock 3.03.0000 and the rom you are trying to flash is either wrong provider or wrong region, and since hspl is gone, it wont flash.

So that's it? My phone is gone? If i give it to mobile shop they can't to repair it either?

lol,
theres nothing wrong with it.
run hspl4 and choose any hspl you require
your lesson today? don't flash stock roms from SD CARD unless you KNOW its the correct carrier/region, , , it removes hspl and if the rom doesnt match your provider/region the flash fails the checks and cant continue. Hence 'rom code update error' and '28002 not allow' and teh big giveaway 'bad modelID'

ahh well in that case, two questions
1 - what does the top line say in bootloader? (check again, dont just assume its teh same as last time you looked)
2 - which HSPL did you run? hspl.exe, hspl2.exe, hspl3.exe or hspl4.exe?

If the error deff says bad modelID and you deff used hspl2 and hspl4 and in bootloader it deff shows PB81100 HX-BC, , then it must either be broke, or something I havent seen before.
Whats teh phones source? country? provider? bought sim free?

Hi, i wonder, if you take out the sd card, and use task29 to wipe out the nand.
what is happening then ?

I don't know to which task you are reffering... Can you send me link please? And if it need HSPL I can't install it

You are on the right track with ruu _sign.nbh... renaming it to Leo... and placing it to the root of SD.... look for the right stock rom that matches with your country and provider... I know with US I have to rename to Leo... try renaming it n try without renaming... see if that will boot after inserting it in the root of SD... just turn phone on and hopefully that will fix it...
currently trying to search for that stock rom... I remember xda have a thread of all the stock rom, it was a pretty long list...

I think you don't have to, because OP can download the rom from HTC's webpage. And the ROM will be the one he needs because the site checks IMEI...

ok, he has spl but not hspl instaled, v3.03.
so what i would try. 1) remove sd card.
second try to flash over usb orginal rom 3.14v
if its branded - look for branded, if its not then RUU_Leo_S_HTC_WWE_3.14.405.2_Radio_15.42.50.11U_2.15.50.14_LEO_S_Ship

Most of the ROM access via IMEI for older devices including HD2 seems to be removed by HTC or if it is available it is very very hard to locate .
I know Hong Kong HTC site still has ROM via IMEI available but HTC Europe/UK ect does not ..

I think as Poisis points out trying to flash via USB a ROM that would be correct for SPL3.03 you got installed & CID (Country ID) of device is only possible step forward unless the MTTY tool can be of any use !

Guys problem fixed... should use the greek official rom not the english... thanks all you all guys... and especially samsamuel, kompheak. As I promised I will donate 10 euro each one. Send me your paypal links via pm

Hello!
Like the title says: HARDSPL goes wrong.
I need to uninstall hardspl so i can use my warranty.
I have follow the tutorial in this thread how to uninstall it http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=611433
When the flash is compleated and its time for reboot i got this message http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hWWpBbQTPb8
If i take out the memorycard and reboot i got this message http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O4S-Rcqwlsc
If i try to reflash i getting the same message as the firs plus it says "upgrade ROM code error please try agen"
Can some one please help me out with this?
And yes i have done a hard reset.
And yes i have try to boot via usb to reflash.
If its to any help i used a ROM from this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=577717 tha one called "LEO2.07"
I think you have to find official ROM which was installed on you HD2 before you changed HARDSPL and installed cooked ROM. You'll find all official ROM's in Leo Official ROMs thread. When you find the right one install it from your SD card. Hope this helps

Can I uninstall a bad flash or something and start from the beginning ? Cuz now im stockt in my situation.
Like I said you have to find the "right" one. It's not just any official ROM. I my case I had to install some really old ROM. Unfortunately I don't know how to find the right one, just use the trial and error method.

I was lucky to get the first released hd2 in my city, so i bett its a old one =)
Does it have to be the same language release to ?
In official ROMs thread is link to Shared folder for shipped Leo ROMs. In there are very well organised ROMs by country and carrier, you should find it quick enough. Just start with 1.43 and 1.48 and only those which matches your country and/or carrier.
or just to HTCs website and get it from there (assuming its not a vendor locked device)

Dont realy know what that its. But I press vol down and start bottom. Then the tri-colored screen shows up "bootloader" for about 1 second. Then i got this screen http://img405.imageshack.us/i/20090607028.jpg/
I have let it load for about 20min, then i gave up.
I'm afraid to say this, but you have SPL 2.07, which means you are on 'official SPL' and can only flash TMOS Official ROM (since the only SPL 2.07 is tied to US ROM)
I think the only way is to use goldcard, to flash your country's official ROM via sdcard (although I'm not sure if that will work, because I read some folks have problem with that)
Its seems i also have a problem flashing a stock rom for warranty reasons.
I did the following steps:
1. Get an official stock rom. (in my case it would me a NLD ROm 1.48)
2. Put it on storage card en change to LEOIMG.nbh
3. Turn of phone, press volume down en power up unntil tri color screen apears.
4. Follow steps on sreen.
But. I dont get step 4. On step it says for 1 sec ''loading''. After that, it goes back to the trii colour HARDSPL screen.
Does anyone know what im doing wrong?
I tried two different SD cards. A 2 gb version and a 4 gb version (both from Scandisk formatted as FAT32)
Is there a way/possible to flash a stock rom using activesync?

No, your warranty is invalid as you're using an SPL/ROM not for your region - hence why you shouldn't flash a ROM from the SD card as this is the issue you have. You're now stuck with a broken HD2 until HSPL can be used on SPL 2.x

Okej. Thats not good Hope some one release a HSPL 2.xx then =) But now i can't even use my phone anymore.
(just to double check)when you boot to bootloader, what does it say next to spl?
if it says spl 2.x then the above posts are correct, and you are stuck with spl2 until hspl2 is released.
You CAN get your phone working again, even with spl 2.
You need a goldcard, and you can then flash the 2.x official rom which will at least get your phone working. Once it is working, you can then flash custom roms using sspl BUT ONLY roms based on the 2.x official rom, and you won't be able to change radios using sspl. The only way you can change your radio is flashing a 2.x official rom with the goldcard.

What did I do to my new LEO????

Well I got my new Leo 13 days ago and I've tried to make the stock ROM work to my satisfaction but between the T-Mo junk installed and terrible battery life I decided it was time to try a cooked ROM...
So I read and read and read some more...It's not my first run at this but I wanted to understand everything so I didn't end up with a $449 paperweight.
This morning I download and installed the HSPL-1024....No problems, went just as the instructions said....
I then download a 1024 T-Mo tested/approved Energy Rom and I install it on my LEO.... No problem everything went as it should. I played with the rom and wanted to try another one with a different look so I found another 1024 LEO Rom, the RoMEoS4 or something like that.... Anyway, that install went just fine...
After installing both cooked ROMS I noticed I was having freezing/locking up issues and had to keep soft reseting so after several hours of it locking up I decided to just revert back to the stock T-Mo USA rom.
I then went on here and found the exact shipped rom I had originally (I had documented the versions I had prior to HSPL and the cooked rom's)
http://beta.vbnfiles.com/index.php?...08.50.08_2_Ship.zip&directory=xmoo/Leo/TMOUS&
Instructions on here clearly explained how to revert back (for warranty purposes) so I downloaded the exact stock rom, extracted it to my desktop and renamed the nbh file leoimg.nbh.... I then copied it to a formatted 8gb SDcard and inserted it into the phone.
Instructions said to hold the Volume down botton and the Power button until it boots into the bootloader and then begins to install off the card. I did this exactly and shortly after it began loading off the card it went back to the bootloader and said "Upgrade Rom Code Error, Please try again" it then goes to a gray screen that says "Loading" and stays there...stuck.
Here's a video of what it does when I try to load off the sdcard.....
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eCD_-EuI1_Q
I have no idea what happened or what to do to get it out of this...
Thanks for your time!
Jess

Put it into bootloader mode, hook it up to your computer with USB, and run to stock image like you did with the cooked roms. That should flash it back to stock. Then, if you want to take the hspl off, you can just run the hspl program again and change it back to your lod spl. No need to use SD card.
Every time a thread like this pops up, I can't help but wish that the "flash from SD card" method and every reference to it could be eradicated from the collective consciousness of this forum and all unwitting participants who fall into this trap... at least long enough to establish that:
1) it isn't a necessary or preferred method to flash.
2) it has the potential to cause stuff like this to happen.

I've learned a valuable lesson here.....Leave it the hell alone!!!!

If you can get to the boot loader, then you should be able to fix this pretty easily.
I'd do this:
Get to the boot loader, check the SPL version. Do you have HSPL 2.08?
IF no, install it using HSPL2_1024_RUN, (if you want a custom ROM option), or install the standard SPL if you want to have an "unhacked" HD2, and flash the stock ROM. Done.
IF HSPL 2.08 is installed and you want it like that to install custom ROMs, then I'd do the following, just for good measure:
run MTTY/task29 to clean out all the old stuff (see my sig line)
flash the TMOUS 2.08 Radio
flash a custom TMOUS compatible ROM

I believe this is why I've not been able to fix it myself.... I'm usually pretty good with these installs. My Kaiser saw hundreds of new roms if not more and I never ran into this.
Thanks

Make sure you have the sd card out of the phone. So you get into bootloader mode, and you run the rom update from the computer? Maybe try downloading the stock rom again to make sure it's not corrupted. You should be able to flash it from your computer.
Before flashing any rom I would do task29 and completely wipe the internal memory, so you don't have any issues with left over files from the last rom. That is most likely why you started having problems in the first place. I used to think oh I can just flash a rom and it will work like new, but nope I had more problems I could deal with and almost returned the damn thing. Once you know what you are doing WM is a great OS to have and the only other phone I thought even cam eclose toa WM phone was the iPhone anyG, if i'm allowed to say that here. So, task29 first then enter bootloader and the run your customruu with any rom compatible with the TMOUS HD2 1024. Any questions just holla.

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=6042320&postcount=1
I got the second one elsewhere on XDA but I can't recall where.
If you can get your phone into bootloader then just do task29. Here is the Mega link.
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=J3OELQ8I
Once task29 is done, pull your battery out and replace after 10-15 secs. Then enter bootloader again and try the stock or custom rom you want. I have been at the 0% screen before even 70% and 99% and stuck. Mine is the HTC HD2 TMOUS branded and I am currently using the AxLor Leo V9 rom and she works like a dream. Let me know if you need help.

just to double check something, you keep referring to hspl2, and you get bad model ID,, you know hspl2 and hspl1024 are different progs? I'm assuming you have a tmous? you arent trying to run the wrong hspl in your haste/panic are you?

ahh ok, that IS the stock rom, but its a repack of the 2.1 rom, not an official .exe/nbh pack. (Well, my kitchen wont import it, says its not official, and it comes with customruu)
However, look for
RUU_Leo_1_5_TMOUS_2.10.531.0_Radio_Signed_15.34.50.07U_2.08.50.08_2_Ship
which is the packed ship .exe. (and does open as official in the kitchen)
ill submit this, and see if i can find the link.
EDIT - heres a mirror of
RUU_Leo_1_5_TMOUS_2.10.531.0_Radio_Signed_15.34.50.07U_2.08.50.08_2_Ship.exe

I am glad you pointed out this error on my part. I honestly did not know that HSPL2 and HSPL1024 were 2 different programs....
I was merely referring to HSPL1024 as the second version of HSPL....or HSPL2..... I didn't mean to create confusion... sorry about that...
To confirm I am using HSPL-1024

Every time a thread like this pops up, I can't help but wish that the "flash from SD card" method and every reference to it could be eradicated from the collective consciousness of this forum and all unwitting participants who fall into this trap... at least long enough to establish that:
1) it isn't a necessary or preferred method to flash.
2) it has the potential to cause stuff like this to happen.

so I'm kinda confused...you say that that you shouldn't flash from the sd card. and im sure you know more about this technically speaking than I do but what confuses me is I've been told and read MANY times by people probably more experience than both of us that flashing from your sd card IS the safest way to flash...im not saying your wrong but it concerns me because that is the method I use mainly for convience.but if this has the potential to destroy my very expensive device that I can't afford to replace I would REALLY like to know and know why. if anybody can guide me here why two different stories and maybe some reasons why one method had a higher chance for problems I would really appreciate it =)

[q] failed revert to stock dont wanna brick again!

Eyyy i tried to revert it to stock ROM!!
i copyd the downloaded RUU_SIGNED.nbh from the website of htc.com with my serial number and renamed it to leoimg.nbh and then i started boatloader and install it, after like 20% it said '' installation failed'' 2002200 error or something like that.. now imma film it with my desire hd,....
after failure it restarted to boatloader with SPL 3.03.000
i got a LEO from Europe.. WHAT NOW?!
If you downloaded from HTC it should be in an .exe format
Put your phone in bootloader (when the phone is off hold down volume down and press the power button) you should see a tricolor screen. Plug your phone in to the pc run the exe and follow the instructions through.
Sent from my HTC HD2 using XDA App
Or uncompress the .exe file with winzip. You will find the .nbh file inside.

I unzipped it, and copied everything from the folder to the root of my sd,
then i started the installation from the boatloader. but then IT FAILED! WTF?
and after '' installation failed'' the phone restarted to the boatloader, now it shows.
HX-BC
SPL-3.03.0000 XE
MicroP(LED) 0x05
MicroP(touch) 0x30
I bricked my phone after i installed SPL2.08.oooo
they told me after that i should have installed SPL-2.08.HSPL
Now im afraid if i take out my battery, this SPL-3.03.0000 will brick it!!
Sorry i filmed it, and tried to reset it, it reset and said software update failed, then that error.

You CAN'T copy everything from the RUU...it will always fail. You just need the .nbh and rename it to LEOIMG.NBH.

IMma not sure what it said exactly but something with '' BAD PHONE ID'' when i tried to open HSPL2_RUN
Now trying to flash the stock rom from usb it got stuck at 0%..
it says : BAD SPL VERSION!
So im stuck with SPL3.03.0000
Cant flash anything....
so what to do?!
tried to flash stock ROM from htc.com from sd
it says ''Not allow'' 20002
tried to flash it from the usb it gets stuck at 0%
cant flash to SPL 2.08 HSPL because i have spl 3.03 right..?
Let me guess, the microSD Card is a 8GB or greater - it is a known problem.
If you need to flash via the SD Card then go either for a 1, 2 or 4GB one. MAking sure that it is formatted correctly.
Forget all about HSPL right now, as the HTC ROMs or the branded versions all come with ROM, RADIO and SPL.
from your video, your SPL is not showing a model ID in bootloader.
(The top line in bootloader, Eg mine says 'PB81100 SS-BC)'
Ive seen this crop up on a few occasions, where the ID gets corrupted, or like yours vanishes completely.
Problem is now of course that all roms will give bad model ID.
I'm not sure of any fix, however if memory serves i seem to remember someone tweaked a customruu to avoid checking the model ID. (Though i couldn't immediately find it just now, , not that i tried too hard, thats your job )
Not sure if it will help, but i think id try flashing a stock rom with the tweaked RUU, if i could find it.

You are not on HSPL that's why it doesn't work.
heres what i think i was thining about
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=706064
Before hspl3, this workaround allowed people to bypass the model id check for particular model IDs, perhaps a blank ModelIDCheckBypass.txt (since your model ID is blank) file would work?
oops, i forgot you were also stuck on spl 3.03.0000, so even bypassing the model ID, hspl would still fail because it doesn't support spl 3.03.0000.
So, normally, only a correct stock rom (usb or sd) of lower version, ((out because of the mdoel ID) or any other stock rom through goldcard would work, but i'm not sure how goldcard would respond to no model id.
If you can get a CID for an sd card (2gb or smaller ideally), pm me with it and an email address and i can make you a goldcard image.
Gotta be worth a try.
There are several ways to find a CID, if you have another winmo phone you can use for 5 minutes, thats wayyy the easiest way.
To get you started

[Q] Help Stuck At Bootloader!!!

So I was installing a stock rom on my device so I could return it to tmobile, but i think i may have installed the wrong type of rom. Its showing I have spl-3.03.0000 XE, and it gives me this error that states "upgrade ROM code error Please Try Again" and when I try another stock rom it gives me an error that states "wrong vendor ID" is there any way to fix this and install a stock rom once again?
The ROM you flashed, where did you download it from? If it was not from the T–Mobile website I suvvest you go download the official upgrade ROM from there, when it ask for hour IMEI number you can vet it from under battery.

Ok from the title of your thread here I am assuming you are puttng you HD2 into bootloader, waiting for USB in the white bar of bootloader and then flash the ROM? If you are doing this try right clicking on the RUU and select run as administrator. If that does not work try flashing it via SD card. Go to this thread to learn how to flash via SD card.

This happens when you have hspl installed and then flash a 3.14 stock rom over sd card.
Hspl gets removed, replaced by 3.03.0000, the flash tries to continue but cant.
The first and biggest question is..... you say it's from t mobile., but what colour are the send and end keys? White? Or red and green? Since to get the error you get implies an incorrect stock rom, and incorrect stock roms kill tmous phones.please also include the complete filename of the stock roms you have tried, especially the first one that gave rom code error.
Try creating a gold card. It will force you through to flashing off the SD card. I also can JTAG this and resolve the problem for you as long as there is not physical nand-failure.

Also have tried Installing The tmobile update directly from tmobile.com T-Mobile_HD2_MR_Software_3.14.531.1
OK I was able to get the phone to boot up by using a test rom but it still will not load up a stock rom it won't work through ruu or from sd card the spl also changed to 2.00.100 XE is there anything else i can try? thanx for the help!
Ahh see now that's a shame.
you do have a tmous, but the rom tmo_de IS NOT for your phone.
That's about as close to bricking your phone as you can get without actually bricking it.
that rom is tmo Germany, which means it is for the regular hd2. The ONLY stock roms your phone will accept are tmous stock roms. All other t mo roms from around the world are for regular hd2.
And now you made it worse by flashing a test rom with an spl which is a pain to get rid of.
In the test and stock roms thread where you found that test rom, DO NOT flash the first rom in the list, it will kill your phone.look at the end of the list and there is a version of hspl edited to work with spl 2.00
Give that a try first.
You aren't the first so Google stuck on spl 2.00.1000 and start reading.
DO NOT FLASH ANYTHING TILL YOU ARE 100% SURE OF THE EXPECTED OUTCOME.
You got real lucky, there are countless threads here that go "tmous, non tmous stock rom, phone now utterly dead",,, don't ruin it now by going flash crazy.

You need to go to the "Leo 1.5 T-Mobile Test & Stock ROMs" thread anf use the link at the bottom of post one named " HSPL with MFG SPL 2.00 support!". This is suppose to support the SPL version you have and allow you to flash HSPL to your HD2 wich should allow you to flash the official T-Mobile ROM or any custom ROM you want to flash. Good luck
Edit: You beat me to the punch Sam
Also the first stock ROM must have changed your SPL and that must have been why you could not flash the official T-Mobile ROM. Like Sam said you got very lucky, if that first stock ROM would have flashed hou would have had a bricked HD2.
OK well tried using the hspl3 but still get the error saying bad spl so I'm gunna start reading up and hope there's a way to get the stock rom back on the phone. Thanks everyone for all your help its greatly appreciated!!

You do mean the specially adapted hspl from the teststock roms thread right? Not just normal hspl3?
If so, next step should probably be goldcard.

[Q] HTC HD2 SPL Version

Alright,
Today my touchscreen stoped working. I was running android and the phone has the HSPL 2.08 version installed.
After one day trying to get it to work, i managed to flash the 6.5 win mo back. After that i thought the HSPL was gone, well you guessed already, it didn't. So i used the HSPL 4 installation tool, selected spl 2.08 and booted right into boot loader to see if it worked. And well yes it worked but here comes the question.
Now there are 4 sentences:
The first with a serial code starting with PB and ending with -BC
Second it states SPL-2.08.0000 8g XE
Third MicroP(LED) 0x05
At last: MicroP(TOUCH) 0x30
My phone is from the beginning of 2010 i want to send it to htc to let the screen be replaced, my question is: is the SPL version the right version and will there be no ugly questions from HTC if i was running android / had HSPL installed?
Already thanks!
That spl 2.x is only correct if you have a tmous.
Assuming you don't have a tmous, You should either flash the rom again but from sd, or use HSPL2 or HSPL4 to match the spl to the rom.
If you Do have a tmous, that's fine.

It looks right to me.
The surest way to do this though is to find your stock ROM via HTC Support (international) or tmobile support (TMOUS), they will have you enter your IMEI/SN and so will ensure you get the correct stock ROM from your phone.
You have to flash via SD, RUU will not replace your SPL, but SD will replace your SPL and everything else to ensure it is on the correct stock everything.
Thanks for the reply's,
Dont got a tmous. So if im correct i need to place the the file in the .exe file from the htc support site (witch i downloaded the latest rom) named: RUU_signed.nbh toe leoimg.nbh and put in on my sd card, next i need to go into boot loader and it will do all the work?
I found a video what describes stated above: http://www.youtube.com/user/inmatrixout#p/u/6/N5gYQ3A7KqA
Thanks!
Alright,
Just put the nbh file to my sd card and renamed it to leoimg.nbh then booted into the bootloader and the 3 colord screen pops up. Next screen flashes to white with blue letters saying: loading...

what size sd card are you using ?
If you have 2gb it will be fine just be sure to format with "fat32".
Make sure sd card work well.
Make sure your battery isnt under 50%.
And finally make sure you downloaded right rom.
thats all, try that and report back , i hope you succeed .

I know i did install hspl 2.08 with hspl 4 and did uninstall hspl with hspl 4 just by selecting the option spl 2.08 (or something like that.) Next poped up a alert box witch told me it was done.

Well thats what i wanted to tel you is if you look at the picture youll see a red line, in my case there is standing SPL-2.08.0000 8G XE, the other information is indentical to mine. So, i think i got HSPL Uninstalled, what do you think?
Thanks!
Yes, you no longer have HSPL on there, which is good.
But if I understand you, it now says 2.08 which is not ok for regular hd2. Yes it works, yes it's stock, but spl 2. ONLY ships with tmous roms, therefore any regular hd2 found with spl 2 can only have gotten in that position using hspl or Goldcard,,, both warranty voiding practices.
For reg leo, you need 1.42.0000. 1.66.0000 or 3.03.0000
Alright, the 1.66 sounds familiar. But my usb port is olmost broken. What to do what to do.. :S
from the menu i only could choos 3.03.00 so flashed it, dft we hacked it come on front but it doesnt matter... now there is this information about the spl:
SPL-3.03.0000 XE
Hope that this is the good one???
Alright, another update...
- thought to myself, 3.03 well if this is the one, the leoimg.nbh should work.. And guess what.. its updating from the leoimg.nbh witch was extracted from the exe file, witch i downloaded with my serial number.. i think im good to go

My advice is to go to the HTC Website and download the ROM for your phone (you need to put the phone's serial number to get the ROM). Since you are returning it for repair, then it doesn't matter what version of the ROM you use as long as it is a valid one for your phone.
Take the downloaded .exe file and rename it to .zip. extract the .nbh file and rename it to LEOIMG.nbh. place it in the root of a FAT32 formatted microSD Card (less than 8GB in size).
Boot the phone into Bootloader mode and the ROM will flash - if you follow the instructions.
These stock ROMs (and the mobile phone company branded ROMs) contain the main ROM, the RADIO ROM and the SPL. and by using the SD Card method ensures that everything is flashed.
