Launcher runs smoother when charging - Xperia Play General

I just noticed that when I plug my Play into my charger, the launcher runs smoother for some strange reason. Like, if I swipe on the screen slowly back and forth the movement is incredibly smooth. If I unplug it, it will have this kind of lag (jumping back in forth in really small increments) when doing the same thing. It's just not as smooth as when the charger is plugged.
What can cause this? Now I want the launcher to be as smooth as when the charger is plugged.

Glitchy screen while charging

Every time i charge my aria, while its plugged in to an AC charger, the screen seems buggy to me, the only way i can get it to work is if i put a finger on the metal part on top while im navigating, and even then it can do some funky stuff.
its like super sensitive or something.
and when i have it plugged into the computer, its even worse, completely unusable.
this happens all the time, no matter what rom i have on the phone.
its a pain, anyone else experiencing this?
never had anything like that happen.
I had this problem using an lg wall charger but not with the provided wall/usb chargers or a motorola car charger
Sent from my HTC Liberty using XDA App
strange, its happening on the oem chargers
This is happening to me too. Super sensitive keys, impossible to scroll. Happening to me on CM6, can't remember if it was same on Sense/Liberated
Same problem here with stock ROM, although only certain aftermarket chargers. The one that came in the box (as well as using USB from the PC) are fine. But they also charge much slower. I think the other chargers have a higher voltage (like 5v USB as compared to 3.3v). It's annoying for sure, but not a deal-breaker for me.
Oink!
It only happens to me when I use the aftermarket wall charger. I'm on liberated b003 rom.
Paranoid Brandroid
hmmm, maybe ill go buy another oem charger, see if its a problem with the charger
happens to me on a wall charger/car charger set i bought on ebay or amazon...cant remember
oem charger is fine and so is any other cable plugged in to the pc to charge.
it's just that one damn wall charger that doesnt charge very fast anyway. just got it as a backup for at work.
I actually had this problem with my iphone 3gs and some charger i bought off of ebay. When the phone was plugged into it, the capacitive panel was all wonky and i couldn't use the phone. I guess it was a poorly designed charger.
Happens to me too across all ROMs using the oem charger. I don't have an after market to test with.
same is happening to me with a 3rd party microusb charger on my desire, if i try to pinch to zoom, while charging, the screen goes crazy

Strange lagging behavior when plugged in to QC2.0 after 100% charged

Hello, I noticed again that while typing, I was missing almost every third word. It definitely wasn't a sensitivity issue. So I opened a browser and noticed that while scrolling up, it would pause or freeze every 3 seconds or so. I then closed all apps and it still did the same thing. It would even lag when trying to swipe to unlock the phone.
I unplugged the power cable as it was already fully charged and all the lag went away. Plugged it back in and it returned. This does not happen with the stock charger and it doesn't happen when the phone is charging.
Anyone else notice this strange behavior? I can't say that it always happens as but this is what I've observed today.
How do we report these issues to LG so they can take care of them in future updates?
quick chargers heat up the battery which in turn heats up the phone itself
phone then goes into damage control mode and throttles the cpu to lower the temperature causing lag
quick chargers aren't that good for batteries due to the heat generated..
I presume this is what is happening
He did say it was already fully charged, though. So the charge current & heat shouldn't really be higher than a normal charger, I'd think.
FWIW, my phone slowed down the charging numerous times due to heat (not a Quick Charger) and I never noticed any lag as a result.
does it slow down or does the touch/digitizer starts acting up?

It's not the touch response as the screen will pause then catch up to where it needs to be. Just letting my finger off of the screen doesn't do that.

I think i have an explanation to this:
When charging the digitizer is really affected by the current coming in. Since the digitizer is some kind of static electricity sensor, the "noise" coming from the current that's charging the phone will greatly affect it, especially a QC.

In Developer Options I found an option to display the touchscreen info as you use the screen.
You might try that just to help better understand the issue? Alternately, in Quickmemo+, try drawing on the screen to see what that shows. Does it capture the whole line if you trace around with your finger, etc.
I was drawing a huge mess in QuickNote and noticed that every few seconds the lag time is noticeable then it speeds up full speed ans fluid.
I think all of this is a weird processor throttling thing. I think because of the heat issues of the 810, the 808 was set to aggressive throttling and does a check every so often to look at resources and heat temps from battery, screen, etc that is causing misses, delays, and other irregularities.
Never did it break my line or make straight lines, but it seemed as though the FPS were dropping.
My opinion.

H811 variant here. No touch screen issues at all when plugged into an AUKEY QC2.0 charger or any other charger for that matter.

Oh don't get me wrong, i didn't test this issue just yet.
A QC is in shipment to me so I'll confirm this as soon as i get the item.

I completely agree with the comments others are making on this issue. I have seen this behavior on several phones and tablets. The strange thing I have noticed is that is seems to be the combination of charger, usb cable and device that seems to the cause. I can frequently change just the charger block or cable to resolve my issues while plugged in. Fast charge, slow charge, fully charged, or system load, none seem to be related like the cable.

I've done further testing. It runs flawlessly no matter how hot it gets but only gives this issues at 100% when the unplug message comes up. I still haven't tested if it does the same in my vehicle with it's qc2.0 charger but with my home charger, it does it with both high quality usb cables that I used. I played a video and it played with no skipping nor does the sound skip, just the touch input.
CPU usage increases while charging!! Dont know why
The exact same is happening with my phone as well. I installed CPU-Z app to debug the issue. The CPU usage shows instant and very noticeable jump when the charging cable is plugged in. This intense CPU usage is the prime cause of slow down. My keyboard becomes so laggy that it becomes almost useless, especially the Space bar. I tried to find which system apps are using the CPU resources while charging but unable to do it. I tried my luck by enabling "Show CPU usage" in developers option but as it seems all apps start to consume CPU as soon as the charging cable is plugged it. I now recharge my phone while powering off. My phone does not get hotter while doing so.

The digitizer(touch screen) going crazy when plugged in and charge on D802

This happens every time on every ROM since on stock days buy I just realized recently that only when it's charging and it's getting worse to the point of unusable lately.
The responsiveness is very noticeable with dragging action, I tested it with touch screen test and when I drag my finger across the marker skips and shows imaginary second fingers, It doesn't happen when plugged and not charging. When unplug it is working fine as it should. Does anyone have this experience? fix? This is making me creazy. Thanks!
It's your charger. I'm willing to bet you're using a cheap one from china. The cheap ones put nasty voltage spikes into your phone that interferes with the touch screen digitizer.
Use the original charger or find a reputable one online.

Screen not responding

I have noticed that when I charge the phone, the screen becomes unresponsive and I have to press multiple time to respond, both touch and slide commands.
Does anyone has this problem?
The moment I unplug the cable it works ok.
Only with fast charger. With usb cable in computer works fine.

Try to restart your device when fast charging or try another cable...
Tried with another cable and another charger with 2Amps instead of original charger with 3 amps and nothing.
This happends when the phone is discharged 3-6%. If the phone is 60-80% and I charge-it it works fine.
Bad earth connection of ur home makes u do that. Nothing alarming. Just dont touch ur phone when its charging u might kill something in it due to built up static.
I tried to play some games while charging and was imposible
Are you on CM13? Had this problem with every cm13 rom
It seems a cable problem or when you plugin you cable to the phone ,the temperature of phone will be higher , this will cause the touch screen more difficult to touch . maybe you can cold down the phone's temperature.
I'm on Cydras google edition. Works fine in rest. And sometime gets very hot. Like almost 50 degrees C hot.
I use L speed set on battery to calm down a little the cpu but nothing till now. It may be related the heat with screen not responding.

Slow charge with original charger

Hello,
i'm new here and i'd be glad if someone can help me. So i got my phone a month ago and i noticed that while its charging (with the original charger) and while using it in the same time it almost does not charge at all, still when it's not used it does actually fast charge. As a previous samsung user, i never had this issue with samsung phones (they always fast charged even on heavy use).
That's one problem, the second one is scrolling isn't smooth. Yet my internet speed is 1GB at home although i don't see it related, overall scrolling let's say for example Facebook, snapchat, browser, it gets slow at few times and it ain't smooth like i expected it to be.
My device isn't even rooted so i haven't messed with it anyhow, running usual diagnostics and clearing apps regularly, downloaded just few social media apps so no heavy games on the phone but still i can't figure out if it's just my phone or is it the lg g6 like that.
thank you
1st i wanted to mention maybe the problem is your outlet in house but, yes G6 is charging slower when you use it on your charger.. And when it comes to fast charging to mine it tooks 1h and 40min from 0-100% bit slower than competiton models, but again fast enough.
When it comes on smoothness i am on V10T EU update and the phone has no laggs at all. It did had on past versions. But with this V10T i hadn't had any smoothness issue.. It really is great, and for playing with the phone while charging i wouldn't recommend that. It can really take effect on your battery.
Powered by LG G6
The scrolling lag sounds like there might be something making the phone work hard. Heavy usage would also make it charge more slowly than expected, because some of that power is going to operate the phone rather than into the battery. BUT I don't think it would prevent the "fast charging" text on the display.
It is remarkable how badly-behaved apps can be - I'd remove/disable your apps one at a time and see if one of them is responsible.
Try a fully compliant aftermarket quick charge 3.0 charger, it should charge much faster. Unlike a QC 3.0 charger, the charger bundled with the phone does not include 12V charging mode, so it's not allowing the phone to charge as fast as the phone can handle (the phone is fully quick charge 3.0 compliant and can charge faster than the bundled charger is capable of doing).

Yup, that's true. BUT I have s7 and g6 and both are slowly charging when I'm using them, phone would get too hot if it would fast charge while using it
I appreciate all your replies guys. Thank you.
Although i noted i dont have any heavy apps or heavy usage, the scrolling lag seems like a lag to me because i got used to faster phones before. Or maybe it is the original cable i need to change as you guys said. Anyway thanks again
I also encountered slow charging problems, but it seemed to be the cable, in some position it worked and in some it did not. I've bought an one plus dash cable for about 10 $, red one, and no problems since then. The cable is more thicker and robust, I highly recommend it.
Hi, I've got this problem: sometimes when I plug my G6 to the charger, a popup message comes out saying:
Charging slowly
Try the following if charging is slow:
- make sure to completely remove any water or debris from the USB ports.
- reconnect both ends of the cable.
- use the charger and cable that came with the phone.
Sometimes, instead, the phone starts charging normally with fast charging. If that popup comes out and I try to unplug and plug USB cable a couple of times, the phone starts charging again with fast charge.
Sometimes, when the phone is already charging with fast charge, suddenly the phone stops charging for a couple of seconds and starts again (I notice it because of the popup sound that comes if you plug the phone to USB)
I even tried to clean USB port, swapped the original USB cable with Anker cable but still using the original LG charger.
Of course there is no water in the port, otherwise a moist detector message would appear.
Has anyone experienced this problem? Can I solve buying a new charger? I'm afraid USB port might be broken

Yeah i found that funny that LG lied and tried to get by on using the chargers from the failed lg G5 shipped with the G6. They only support 2.0 charging so just use the cord and use another 3.0 block or get a portable 3.0 power pack. They are 20 bucks on amazon. Good ones too.

can this be a good charger?
I bought an used G6 without charger but I have a Pixel charger model GL0102 and when I plug the phone I cant see the fast charging notification on the screen. It only say charging.
