[Q] Trophy with no USB connection on SPL mode: - Trophy General

Hy,
I have a Trophy, and when I go in SPL mode, it doesn't appear anything in the lower side of the screen (serial or usb). Please HELP!
This is what appears:
PC40100 SS-BC (4K)
SPL-5.0.2250.1 (130781) MNG
MicroP (LED) 0x09
Touch A1 (v10,20)
SD SANDISK 7580Mb
Partition Info-v211v413
F400
The Trophy has a Vodafone branding although I bought it from O2.
So the problem is that I cannot connect my Trophy trough USB for RSPL or HSPL further.
Thank you very much for any help!

You have half bricked bootloader. I have the same problem now, we have to wait for HTC bootloader update, it could take some time. But for now, there is no solution. We are stuck with actual ROM and backup is not function for bootloader restore. Its a bad news.

Thank you for your answer!
Do you know how did we end up with this?

You are welcome ;-) Bootloader update is part of HTC firmware update with Mango for our Trophy and other HTC devices. No way, we have to wait for next update.

Same happened to me... it is long time to wait

The only solution to this problem on ANY HTC phone, outside of waiting for another update with drivers, is to perform GoldCard. This is the best guide to building a GoldCard that I know of, post any problems, issues, etc, in that thread and you should be able to fix your problem.

F400 error booting
Hoi,

P4350 quite dead after USPL'ing

Hi,
I tried to USPL my P4350 (SPL & IPL 4.xx.xxxx) in order to update to WM6.1, using Herald-USPL-Beta3. Everything went OK until ROMUpdateUtility kicked in, and gave me an error: FILE IN USE.
So I started the ROMUpdateUtility again, with the screen still blank, and suddenly the P4350 turned off. I'm 100% sure the battery was at least 90% full during USPL'ing, so why it turned off; I have no idea.
Problem is: I can't power up the device anymore. No LED's, even when attaching it to the power adapter.
Any tips on how to fix this, or is it fair to say my device is now really DEAD?
Thanks!
Some suggestions of a Junior Member.
1st. Try a soft reset. Didn't work? Go to Step 2
2nd. Try a hard reset. Didn't work? Go to Step 3
3rd. Pull the battery off. Put it again. Try to turn it on. Didn't work? Go to Step 4
4rd. Wait replies from advanced user. End.
Thank you for replying
However none of the options you mentioned worked out.
I'm stuck waiting for some expert guidance here
Hi, it's been a while, but today I finally made -sure hope so- some progress..
I purchased a HTC Touch HD two weeks ago, from which I plugged in the power adaptor to see what my P4350 would do. (specs are the same btw as the P4350 power adaptor; output 5V, 1A) On this attempt however, the left LED on the front of the device turned RED for about 5 seconds before turning off again. I plugged in the adaptor again, and it lit up RED again. However, the device did not respond to an attempt to power it up.
What does this mean? Is it not dead after all?
Any tips on what to do?
Thanks again.
Wow man, I'm getting somewhere now!
I got the device powered on holding the RESET+POWER+CAMERA and it now hangs on the IPL + SPL screen.
What is very strange is the following:
IPL 1.08.0001
SPL 1.08.0001
as to where these were above 4.xx.xxxx before I did the USPL'ing. I am a 100% sure.. (not so sure anymore now to be honest.. )
The screen displays USB in the left bottom corner, because it is connected to the USB power supply.
I'm afraid to turn it off because it might not turn on again...
Where do I go from here?
Well, I finally got my P4350 to work again
I noticed I was able to start into bootloader mode using CAMERA+RESET, unlike previous attempts to do so. I don't know what caused the device to boot after 6 weeks, but I guess attaching the Touch HD power adapter did the trick.
At first I followed the instructions at topic "Goldcard for Herald", but somehow I wasn't able to make the MicroSD card bootable using my HTC Touch HD for the formatting.
Instead I went to page 5 of the topic and discovered this comment by leptir79, who stated the creation of the Goldcard could easily be done from a DOS-prompt in Windows, with the MicroSD card in the SD-cardreader on a PC or notebook. And this is what did the trick for me:
- I put the SD-card in my notebook cardreader (drive W: ), opened a DOS-prompt, and ran the following command to format the SD-card with the correct priviliges: FORMAT w: /FS:FAT32 /A:4096
- After that I copied heradiag.nbh to the blank MicroSD card to see if my P4350 would boot from the MicroSD card. And it did. From this tool I ran some diagnostics tools to see whether my device was fully functioning, and I got no errors. I noticed that among the diagnostics tools there was a tool to Flash the device with a new ROM
- So I downloaded HTC_P4350_WWE_4.17.405.2_4.1.13.44_02.94.90_Ship.exe, extracted RUU_signed.nbh to the root of my MicroSD card (along with heradiag.nbh), and renamed RUU_signed.nbh to heraimg.nbh.
- I started the P4350 into bootloader mode, booting from the MicroSD card. Heradiag.nbh booted up, and I chose to use the Flash ROM utility that came with heradiag. The device automatically found heraimg.nbh, and started the flashing procedure for my device. After confirming, the flashing started.
After a few minutes my P4350 rebooted, and my device is now running Windows Mobile 6.0. Everything seems to work just fine now.
So, if you don't have a second (working) WM device, but do have an cardreader on your PC or notebook, this really is the best option to create the Goldcard imho.. (even if you do have another WM-phone, really, try this procedure first before installing ActivePerl and all the perl-scripts)
Thanks everyone for all the procedures and help. You all did a great job, but most credits in this case go out to leptir79 who gave me the breakthrough in getting my -left for dead- device to work again.
This is a gold trick thats what i'm waiting for...
I have my heralds bricked since 2 months ago... Yup....really bricked...means cant do bootloader mode or hard reseting on device...
And already sent it to the HTC care center, and they ask for mainboard replacing...which is too expensive for me...400US...later cancelling it...
Searching out this forum, and didn't find a solution to reprogramming OMAP via JTAG...then my research suspended...
Untill I found this...
All I need...just to enter to the bootloader...powering up the brick
Can't wait to try this method @home...ASAP...
For now...just looking for 5V, 1A Charger first....
TIA frummel...

Upgrage ROM code error
Please try again ...
WHAT IS THAT ? :`(
dose it means i brick it ?
(p.s.)
Tryed to install the HSPL again ...
the install is successfull. ... but no change on the device ...
you have used the wrong rom.
you must use the correct rom that was on the phone when you got it.
Or the correct region. In doubt, just enter your phone's serial number on the HTC download page (here for 1.66) to make sure you get the correct official rom.
Then extract it, put the nbh on your card, etc.
" Sorry, this software download is not suitable for your device. "
hhmm .... i had the hong kong rom originaly ...
maybe it means i have to download it from an hong kong htc site ?
yes....choose the hk site
Are you solved the problem?
How?
I have a similar problem.
I have the same screen at boot, but when I try load anything my device as stuck in progress bar (0%) even for shipped rom’s…
This happens when I try load a shipped rom from SD. Before that I have loaded several cocked rom’s from SD without problem.
the fix...
hold volume up and down together and insert the USB cable then run a different or a good ROM
Bricked friends hd2!!!?!?
PLEASE HELP... I was trying to install android throught NAND on my friends hd2,, in the process of flashing the ROM via Magdalr or whatever.. it froze so i pulled the battery.... and it doesn't turn on. I've pulled the battery on my other friends HD2 so im confused as to why this one in particular does not turn on! PLEASE HELP!!! SHE'LL KILL ME IF SHE FINDS OUT!!!

Did i brick my phone??
So my brother was trying to do who knows what to my hd2 and now the hd2 powers on and it says "stick together" (its a t-mobile hd2) and it just stays on that screen.. I'm not the most tech savvy person so bare with me... usually below where it says "stick together" it would show a bunch of numbers and codes and after a few seconds it would load windows mobile and the phone would work fine. However, mine just stays on the stick together and theres no more of those numbers and codes on the bottom.
Did he just brick my phone? And if he did... HOW THE HECK DO I FIX THIS???
HELP :*( i need to use my phone!!
Thanks
Heh I'm in the process of doing my very first flash to get a full install of Andriod 2.2 on my HD2, once I find out a specific answer I've been looking for I'm gonna start the process

Did you try to turn on your mobile pushing "vol down" to load usb mode ?
After that, you can flash an official rom.
That "saves" my Leo...

[Q] The only thing that's working: bootloader

Hello together
wish you nice eavening!
My Problem is the following: The only thing, on my htc touch hd T8282 that seems to work, is the bootloader.
Til five minutes ago I could read there:
BLAC 100 32M
SPL-1.54.0000
MicroP - BlackStone (LED) v6
now the following is added:
in the right, top corner: RUUNBH
in the green field: Upgrade ROM code error, Please try again
I think, this is because, in my helplessness, I interrupted the flashing process. But that's not the main problem.
Beside that, I can "start" the phone only by plugging in the USB cable from Computer or charging station. Then the phone vibrates, and the "smart mobility" screen comes up. After about 5 seconds it starts again, doing the same.
I tried hard resets, but it doesn't work. The only reason why I'm still trying to repair the phone is, that the bootloader is working. To me a signal, that somhow not everything is lost, but maybe I'm wrong.
I tried to flash the phone too. I tried first with the official "BlackStone_GER_1.56.407.2_Radio_52.60.25.33_1.12. 25.16DE_Ship.exe" which worked in the bootloader mode. At least the screen "flashing was sucsessful" showed. The bootloader was the same and nothing changed.
After that I tried with "HSPLWrapper_Blackstone_156OliNex.exe", which is not working. It demands a connection with the ActiveSync, which I have on my Computer, but the only way the computer detectes the Phone is in the bootloader mode. In normal mode computer and active sync don't detect a phone.
So my questions to you:
Do you know a way to load the hard spl (from OliNex) to the phone, although I cannot connect it to ActiveSync? There should be one, because with the official data it "works" (or seems to).
Do you have any help?
Thankyou

wel its saying spl so its original spl and not hspl
if you downloaded the german rom form the xda site it doesnt work as the spl in that rom isnt for youre device
if youre in bootloader try to flash hspl on it and then you can flash roms from the site
the other option is got to htc official site and look up the blackstone
there search the latest rom
if you want to download it you have to enter youre imei(can be found under the battery) with that code the rom youre going to download is only for oure device and is supposed to work for you
hope it helps
Thankyou for writing!
I downloaded and tested the rom from the htc site. I can run that and it comes up with the "successful screen". Then, the phone restarts, and I have the old problem, nothing changed.
As I mentioned before, I can not flash the hard spl from OliNex. That's my big problem. Because, also mentioned before, my phone is not recognized by the active-sync programm and in bootloader mode the HSPLWrapper from OliNex doesn't work.
hope there are some more replies and answers..

In activesync (or windows mobile device centre) go to connection settings and make sure that "allow usb connections" is ticked. Then retry connection device to computer. Put device into bootloader while connected. Does bottom of bootloader change from "serial" to "usb" after a couple of seconds?
In activesync "allow USB-connections" is ticked.
In the white, bottom part of the bootloader is written "USB" when connected to Computer. But if I connect it to the charging unit and start in bootloader, the white field is empty. I can't start it without any electricity source. Either there is another problem with the battery or, because you can't turn it off, the battery is flat all the time.
Also, the original htc blackstone rom-program, detects a connection to the phone, and is loading the rom properly, it seems. Because I could turn the bootloader screen back to where I already was once (by loading the official rom again):
BLAC 100 32M
SPL-1.54.0000
MicroP - BlackStone (LED) v6
Somehow it seems, that the power button is not working, I can't shut down when it is in bootloader, and can't really start the unit. But it's hard to say, 'cause it's starting automatically.
thanks

[Help] Is my phone briked?

So I kinda new here and searched for similar threads with the same problems as i got , so far no success .
Heres all my story :
I have got HTC HD2 not long and I have installed NAND ROM Andriod on it ( it was installed from the SD card )
Phone worked great and evrything was nice till yesterday when my phone touch screen had stopped working so i decided to install the same OS ( Windows Mobile 6.5 ) that i recived it with , to exchange for new HD2
So i have tired to install WM6.5 , here what i have done :
I have downloaded this rom : World Wide English (WWE) 1.66.405.2
from here : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=623283
I turend the phone off and opened the Bootloader screen , connected the USB cable and run the .exe rom file
It have finished installing and and phone turned off after that i pluged off the cable and tried to turn the phone on but it dont turn on at all even bootloader screen dont turn on , cant do anything with it
as i understood its briked now ? or its not?
looks like i forgot to ActiveSync before I started instaling the ROM
and now phone dont do anyhing at all
Here's what i had before i tried to install MW6.5 back :
In bootloader screen : PB81100 HX-BC
SPL-2.08.HSPL 8G XE
0x05
CotullaHSPL 0x30
R 2.15.50.14
and also installed DFT MAGLDR Bootloader at the end
and then loaded some NAND ROM from the forum
So now my phone birked? if no is there any way to fix it?
Do i still got Garenty on it and i can exchange it ( as my touch screen is not working and now phone dont even start )
What should i do pelase help me
Is it a tmous hd2? (Red end key green send key) if yes then yes its bricked, the radio in that non-tmous stock rom killed it. JTAG or new mainboard needed.
If no, check the battery pins.

I dont see the red light as it need to be when it charging
but let me try im 99% sure bootloader wont satart
Hmmm, so its gotta be either a power issue, a random death,(hd2s are starting to age, and they've never been totally robust hardware wise) or a flash that went so wrong it fried the firmware totally.(I'm guessing without rereading your previous posts that the drivers the PC tries to find are "Qualcomm cdma blahblah" or something similar? Often seen when a phone needs a jtag)
Only suggestions I can offer are
Battery out, USB in and on wall charger, and then put battery in,
take a really good look at the battery pins,
perhaps take a voltmeter to the battery
try another battery, try your battery in another hd2,
