[Q] Audio out of Sync - Vibrant General

I recently upgraded to 2.2 froyo in hopes of solving this problem, but to no avail. The audio is not on sync when i play a video or a game. Even when i press the volume up or down theres a delay in the audio. Is there any solution out there that can fix this?
Note: my phone is rooted

seriously no's answered yet? I'm thinking of flashing a custom rom in hopes of fixing my issue here. Think it'll work?

hey mate, i started a thread about this a few weeks ago, a lot of people are facing this problem, some guys did some research on pushing some files through adb to solve the volume, hit up those threads to see a couple of solutions.

[Q] Volume Control issue with MCCM HD 6.0 SD ROM

Hello,
Super Noob here. I am using the above build and really loving it. Everything that I tried works well and smooth. I just have only one issue. When playing music on either the stock player or poweramp, I cannot control the volume if the LCD is off. That is as soon as the LCD turns off (but music is still playing) the volume buttons does not do anything. With poweramp I was also able to skip tracks with a different build (American Android), but I can not do that either. Anyone else also have the same issue? Is there any known solution to it? Sorry, if that has been answered somewhere else, but I could not find anything by searching. Thanks in advance.

[Q] Headset Microphone and Button not working

I'm having issues with headphones with a built in microphone and button. I don't know if this is a rom issue or my headphone jack died on me. It's still able to play music. It worked fine a few weeks ago until I updated to a newer build, the headset icon stopped appearing and the headset microphone and button stopped working as well. I've tried a few different headsets and they all don't work any more. I've searched the forums and haven't found a solution to my problem.
I've been using this rom without issue for a while, but after the recent update, headset mic and buttons do not work. I looked through the thread and nobody seems to be having this issue.

I decided to switch to a different rom and did a full wipe before flashing. The issue persists.

Thanks for your help.
edit: looks to me like it was a kernel issue, cm7 still looks to be the have the most stable code so I downgraded. Hopefully the issues will be ironed out.

Hey fellas,
So, it appears that the problem is related to the device thinking that headphones are plugged in. I would assume it is some kind of hardware fault.
However, there is an easy way to work around it (took me days of despair to find it) - install the app "soundabout" from the app store (cant post a link because I do not have 10 posts yet) . Under the media audio setting you can route all media sound through the speakers, thereby bypassing the problem. You do not need the pro version, but if this program just saved you from buying a new device...
app does not require anything other than a one time install and setup, so no annoying icons or thelike. only problem i encountered is that switching to different accounts on the device somehow mutes the sound, and it requires a restart to get it back to working. If anyone encounters the same limitation, let me know (or better, find a fix for it )
Cheers,
pilfer
Since it took me forever to find this app myself, some tag words for google: no media sound on speakers, only notification sounds, alarm sounds only, no sound from videos, no sound from music

Audio issue. Cannot play any audio related files.

I have been having audio issues for three days now. I can't do anything that is audio related (can't make calls, listen to music, play videos, or stream videos). It's not a hardware issue. It plays the boot up sound at times. Also, everytime I tried calling anyone the phone would freeze for a while.
I have been using some mod apps like Spotify, pocket cats for a while.
Can anyone help? Also I haven't root my phone. I'm on nougat. December security patch.
has anyone found a fix to this?
i am having the same issue
This seems like a completely new issue. A shortcut will be probably trying a factory reset and then updating to the March 1 Security Update.
Never heard of it..
factory reset is the only way it seems!
