Hello everyone
I have a big problem with my [email protected], any type of file I try to move on a USB key is lost. The file is copied, but is 0 bytes.
I tried it with various types of files, jpg doc pdf, and the result does not change

I copied some files from my QTEK S110 onto a friends laptop and they copied accross OK although they did not have a .doc file exension (it was something else) and then when I tried to open them from the new location I could not even after associating that file extension with WORD.
Whats going on?
Also does anyone know how I can se the file extensions of all files and unhide hidden files in file explorer on my pocket pc.
thx
the file extension for pocket word is *.psw to use them on word on pc i think it has to be converted. In pocket word you can click on tools then Save Document As.. do that and under the drop down list of file type you can save it as .doc .rtf .psw .txt and another file type.
about the hidden files if you tap the screen and hold it in the explorer and a menu will come up and theres a selection there for view all files, it unhides some files but not all files. I use Profiexplorer which comes with profimail which is a indepth explorer. it shows all files aswell as file extensions and you can change file extensions and so on
Simply set the active sync option to convert the Pocket Word <-> Word files on transfer. I though this was on by default.
Of course if you don't copy via AS (e.g. via the SD card), it won't convert.

Sorry I didnt understand the sentence above. What does AS stand for? AND Did you mean that if I have copied my *.psw file onto my main memory (Permanent Save) that "Simply set the active sync option to convert the Pocket Word <-> Word files on transfer" wont work
I havent tried Active Sync yet.
AS = Active Sync
This converts the format for you when copying from one to the other.

If you haven't tried ActiveSync (AS) then you must be transferring the files via the SD card or perhaps BT or IR? This won't convert them - ActiveSync can convert the files on the fly as you transfer them between device and PC.

Thanks yes I am using BT though I do not have an SD card they are saved into my RAM - The S110 has 128MB instead of the usual 64. Thanks for your help
The problem is to mount multilanguage usb flash drive, for instance, with english and cyrilic files and folders. Default settings produce qustion marks in place of names different from english - something like "???? ???". I know there is ability to force utf-8 and write codepage manually. Results are the same with uft-8 option selected and manually entered 1251 cyrilic codepage. All other files and folders on /sdcard partition have no issues with names. Is there any way to configure mount options somewhere in a dedicated file? Does anybody have experince in mounting multilanguage sticks with this app?
I use Es File Explorer, and have used other apps to delete files off the nexus 7 storage. However when I plug it to the PC and open the internal storage, I see the files are still there. The files HAVE BEEN deleted though, as when I click on the file, it says file corrupt, and doesn't take up space anymore.
For example I put a movie file into my tablet. I watched it, and deleted it after I'm done. I plug it on my pc and I see the folder and file still there.
how can I fix this?
It can be a pain because I use my nexus 7 to read my school documents.. sometimes I rename the file, and the whole thing is corrupt, as in I can't open it when I plug it in my PC anymore, because the names doesn't match. Or If I don't remember correctly which files I've deleted, and re-delete it when I use my PC, soon it will be fill with a lot of useless files when I open the internal storage on my PC.
Any help? I don't remember this being a problem before, I was able to edit/delete files, and it would show up as is on my pc.
Also, when I open a folder with pictures on my PC, some files do show the thumbnail, while other files just show the default pic file.
Basically my nexus 7 feels very 'corrupt' and slow when I browse the files on my PC. Anyone else have the same problems?
You could use ADB instead
I guess this could be the somewhat right directory, I asked this on stackoverflow with no luck. Basically I code (or I intend to if I can get it work) a program to where it will move my files off of my usb drive (via otg cable) to internal memory on my nexus 7. IT will work if I specify a file from the flash drive, but how ever I would like to have it to where it will just grab all of the files off, and move them. I am using the fileinputstream/fileoutputstream to byte array. How can I go about to where it will just grab all the files without having to specifically target a file name?
Hello!
More portable USB drive and pendrive "not removable" type, always created $Recycle.bin folder.
How to fully disable $Recycle.bin folder create?
Need: plugged drive do not modify filesystem with $Recycle.bin or System Volume Information
Not need any reply this text: "hide hidden folders". Need real solution.
I have old patch to "Open file" window size set to any size, and patched explorer.exe (not registry mod, real file patch). Need real patch to disable folder creating.
Recycling disabled: all drive zero bytes and disabled.
All registry tips not working:
HKCU/Soft/MS/Win/Curr/Explorer/BitBucket/NukeOnDelete=1
Gpedit only disable "move to recycle bin", not disable folder creating. Not working.
Now created in all drive $Recycle.bin FILE with zero byte, now folder not created... all Windows starting (or delete files) say: Corrupted Recycle bin, recreate? ...popup message for all drive (with this fake file).
SysVolInfo:
Disabled search, disabled thumbnails create.
Available any solution, patch, customizes, manager, etc. for this problem?
Thanks!

Enable Recycle Bin for Removable Drives in Windows 11 Tutorial
The Recycle Bin provides a safety net when deleting files or folders. When you delete any of these items from a hard disk, Windows places it in the Recycle Bin and the Recycle Bin icon changes from empty to full. If you have multiple hard drives, partitions, or an external hard drive connected...

Not ok. I have... many USB pendrive builded HDD type, not "removable" type. And all removable external HDD recreated this folders.
Hi, I also tried all those registry mods and policies but nothing works on my Win7-x64. I found that $Recycle.bin folders on all volumes are created everytime explorer.exe process is started. But a quick look doesn't show that explorer.exe would contains $Recycle.bin string, so maybe it's obfuscated some way or it's in some DLL that explorer.exe calls. I wonder nobody cracked this crap yet...
