I have tried to apply a wipe data/factory reset via cwm unfortunately it does not work and it only brings me back to cwm... could someone please provide me a solution to get back to the home screen.. First of all you posted in the Streak forum and the 7 has it's own forum, so that pretty much tells us how much reading and searching you've done...
Secondly, it's as simple a fix as flashing whatever ROM it is you are using, which reading and searching would have led you to the same conclusion also

Hello all,
I am Conmanx360. I am not usually one to ask for help, and I kinda provide my own answers. But I am completely stumped at this point. My droid 2 is stuck in a bootloop after installing a new rom (I installed it weirdly, and now it won't start. It's stuck in the boot animation, and won't go further) . I've tried powering it on to see if it boots back into clockwork recovery, and I'm getting nothing. Now I remember from my droid 1 that I could sbf, but I'm not finding anything on how to get droid 2 into the flashing interface. Quick replies if you can.
Thanks,
Conman.
P.S: I checked out the other threads, and while they had info, it wasn't what I needed.
Well, I may have just fixed this myself. Way I did it was to go into the stock bootloader (power+x on startup) . Press the physical search button on the keyboard. Then do a wipe of the data and cache. This helped fix mine, I'm not so sure about everyone elses.
I have the same exact problem, like literally the same exact one. I switched from a D1 too and everything was so much easier and simpler. If you get a solution to your problem please send me a message. I'll do the same.
Did you try to wipe data and cache?

Yes, but now it'll take me to the android home screen and it'll stay on for about 5 seconds with the theme i downloaded and then boot loop again.
You need to sbf as i posted in your original topic last night.
Hi,
First may i apologise if this has already been solved, but i cant find the thread.
I have a O.2 UK streak 4399 version 21.
I followed Pauls instructions to change baseband to the t. However now I can not boot. I get stuck on the dell logo. when I try recovery it just goes to a black screen.
I think its something to do with the 'system' files or 'etc'.
Fastboot is working.
Im quite a noob, and have flashed several times. this time i dont know whats wrong?
You guys on XDA are awesome and have helped so much before, I hope you can help now.
Many thanks !
I found an old stock recovery and flashed it. thankfully now recovery works.
Back to 1.6, 4399, with no flashing led's.
I got it to boot, but I have flashing home and menu led's.
For some reason Recovery still wont work and goes to a black screen. No matter what recovery I seem to use?

Thanks but I've tried this three times now, and I always end up reverting back to 1.6 with flashing home and menu LED's.
Everything else is working but recovery. I select update from .pkg, but all i can get is a black screen. Then i have to flash 1.6 again??

Today I was attempting to flash my phone with typhoon android rom. I had all the necessary stuff to do it. After reboot the flashed worked but when I try to slide to unlock it won't work. It won't respond at all. If I use the hard reset on CWM what will happen? Also is there anyway to fix this or is it broken..
i really doubt its broke. somewhere something might have gone wrong. pop the battery out and enter magldr by holding down the red power butoon, go to option 8 ad recovery, hit green button, scroll down & select wipe data/factory reset then hit green button, then scroll down to wipe cache & hit green button, now scroll down to advanced hit green button, go down one to dalvik cache & hit green button. now go back & select reboot system now. see if this helps.
if this dont help i rather flash the ROM myself and then give a very detailed (noob version) of what exacly to do step by step because it seems you've been having a lot of problems flashing this ROM. i just rather take the time out to show you step by step then you keep trying and lose your device to a bad or improper flash.
Yeah, I'm new to this stuff sorry. I think it would be easier for me to just revert back to wm 6.5 and then start over. (Also to check if my touchscreen is still working.) Could you give me a guide on how to revert back to stock version and if touchscreen still doesn't work I can send it in for repair or something. I appreciate your help greatly
The touch screens fine I'm sure go back to cwm Di a factory reset and boot

to update the thread: the phone has since been flashed back to stock winmo and the touch screen issue is still there. plus i suggested a few threads with similar problems. anyone with any knowledge on this would be great.
this could have just been coincidence that it stopped working at the same time as they tried to flash a new ROM but anyone would have to agree it would seem like very odd timing.
Check your battery pins are nice and straight

After that I think you need to check your warranty :-\

This is a bootloop not a bug. Way too many people without a clue flashing ICS at the mo.

Let me know when you have some news I fix up my phone with Odin, flashing a stock rom and original .pit file but, as you can read, i lost ICS. I think i will waiting for a Stable release
This is a good site for troubles
ics.samsung-updates.com/trouble
see:
Phone is in boot loop
can't get to Recovery (I9000)
Put phone in Download mode and use FixRecovery.tar.md5 in Odin as PDA, uncheck auto-reboot option.
After flash reboot to recovery with 3-button-combo and CWM flash proper ICS kernel and reboot
For trouble after follow instructions from HOW TO FLASH section proper for Your device

All you need to do is read the relevant thread or the multiple threads in general and q&a to see a the people that have had the problem and the solution. I've posted the solution at least 5 times already
Greetings.
I commented, I have a Acer Iconia Tab A500, when turned on, this remains in the ACER logo, note that you do a format to SDCARD, SYSTEM and DATA Recovery from THOR.
I can do to bring life back? Or it becomes a HardBrick?

Q&A Is what you seek.
And rephrase question to while you're at it, please. Don't really make much sense.

As far as I can tell, you\re saying the iconia boots only to the acer logo, and you're using Thor's ROM and Recovery. If so, hold volume down and power on boot, and you should be able to get to recovery, where you can re-flash the ROM.
Hope this helps, if not, please be more specific as to your problem.
Or use a different translator.

You're right, that's what happens to me, but I have no income to Recovery, I'm pressing the appropriate button.
Sorry for my bad english
There will be someone who can speak Spanish?
If you can't get into recovery, you need to fix the tablet using something called "APX Mode". I suggest you google it and have someone who reads English help you as it can be complicated.
I managed to recover, thanks!
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1307539 This will likely be what you need .
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1516012 If you have flashed ICS LEAK this is the thread you need.
.
Please read both of these two Threads..
From what i could understand in your First post. you did Not wipe properly.
In cwm go to wipe menu
wipe cache
wipe delvik
wipe battey .
Flash your rom.. if the above does not work.
do the above but also Go to mounts and storage
format system
format data
format flexrom
DO NOT FORMAT SD CARD . then flash your rom..
IF THIS DOES not help you . its likely you have a corrupt download or sd card.
Good Luck
Again this forum area is for development only. I will ask a mod to move it. If you have a issue with a specific rom ask in that rom dev thread or in the Question area.
