T-Mobile UK MMS Settings Using AKU 3 2.11.255 HTC ROM

Hi
I've downloaded the ROM & upgraded my Vario 2, without any problems.. The only issue I have is MMS, I've set it up using the settings listed on the T-Mobile site, but when I attempt to send a msg to check it, it connects OK, but doesn't send the message...
Can any other T-Mobile UK Vario 2 users let me know their settings?
Thanks!
You can download all the T-Mobile customisation cabs here inc the MMS settings:

Click to collapse
Don't know if tis is a stupid question, but could you use MMS before?
With my Vodafone (UK) contract I had to add MMS as a separate package.
I just used the settings on the T-Mobile website and it works perfectly.
There are 2 parts to setting up MMS:
1. Setting up the connection settings: http://www.manuals.t-mobile.co.uk/start.asp?manual=1677
2. Configuring the Picture Messaging settings: http://www.manuals.t-mobile.co.uk/start.asp?manual=1677
Got it sorted - tried the settings listed on MoDaCo, which didn't work... found a pdf on T-Mobile's website, with different settings & those worked...
Thanks to everyone who replied!
Could you please put the link in to the pdf in case someone else needs this? Thanks.
Hi
The PDF is in the T-Mobile users area & you need a valid number to access it. However the settings are:
Setting up your Picture Messaging profile

5. Tap on the Servers tab.

7. In the box Server name enter T-Mobile MMS
8. In the box Gateway enter 149.254.201.135
9. In the box Port number enter 8080
10. In the box Server address enter http://mmsc.t-mobile.co.uk:8002
11. Select the Connect via drop down list and select your internet profile (T-Mobile Internet or T-Mobile GPRS
(Web))
12. Select the WAP Version drop down list and select WAP 2.0
13. Select OK
14. With T-Mobile MMS highlighted, tap on Set As Default
15. Select ok
Hope this helps!
thank you!

Rogers, Canada GPRS and MMS cab needed

I have search everywhere for this, I never post questions cause I can usually find the answer, I have checked throughout XDA and google and check multiple forums. I have been reading on how to create a cab file I just don't have the time right now to sit down and work on it for hours. Walshieau has a site going for Provxml and Xml Config Loader but he hasn't got to North America. If anybody has a cab or is skilled at making one the settings are minimal, I have included them.
If you can help many thanks.

Xoom w/ Phase 2 Authentication = Fail

Anyone else have this issue? I heard about the bug in 2.2 that caused phase 2 authentication to not hold, but it appears it made it to 3.0. When trying to connect to my work network, I select MSCHAPv2, and other appropriate settings; however no connection is made. When I go back into the settings, the phase 2 authentication is set to none.
I have tried creating the connection manually, resetting the connect over and over, still no luck. Any ideas?
Have the same issue!
No workaround or patch yet
Brgds,
S.
I have mine working here in my office without issue.
The key thing you need is the Cert.
On my network, there are 2 ways to get it.
1. Find the .cer file and put it on the ROOT of the "SDCard" (internal storage)
1. Be sure the {filename}.cer file is on the ROOT of your SD Card (not inside any folders)
2. From Home Screen, go into Menu > Settings
3. Depending on your phone, you may see either:
a. Location & Security
b. Security4. Go into whichever menu option you have
5. Scroll to the bottom and click Install from SD card
6. You will either be prompted to import and create a password (which should be something you will remember) or you will see an error that no certs could be found. This is normal and does not mean it will not work, just continue with the steps below and all should be fine.
7. Next turn on Wi-Fi
8. Go into Wi-Fi Settings
9. Click Add-Wi-Fi Network and enter the following:
a. SSID: {Your-SSID-Here} (Case Sensitive!!!)
b. Security: 802.1x Enterprise or 802.1x EAP (Not all devices will have this option)
c. CA Certificate: None Specified (here, you MUST click on the None Specified and then click again on the None Specified in order for the cert to be picked up on your SD Card. Not all devices will have this option)
d. User Certificate: None Specified (this one can be left alone. Not all devices will have this option)
e. EAP Method: PEAP
f. Phase 2 authentication: MSCHAPV2
g. Identity: Your Domain account name (you do not need to put {DOMAIN}\ in front of your user name)
h. Anonymous identity: Leave this BLANK
i. Wireless Password: Your DOMAIN domain password
Note: On some devices or ROM’s (for those that are rooted), you will be prompted for the Cert Password when re-connecting to the W-Fi Network; this will be the password you used in step 6.
2. Log into the Guest Wireless account, fire up the browser and log into when asked. This will download the cert.
Once either of those are done, set up your wireless connection and it works.
Now, I know it's different for other networks out there, but give me some info and I'll see if I can help.
Thanks.

Hotspot Mod

Any hotspot mods anyone.
If you are on sprint this one works.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/sprint-s7-edge/how-to/hotspot-bypass-nougat-ok-t3563446 (SAUCE)
Here it goes (no root required):
1. Enable developer mode:
a. Go to settings
b. Scroll down to about phone
c. Repeatedly tap "Build number" until developer access is granted
2. Get ADB installed w/ drivers
a. https://forum.xda-developers.com/sho....php?t=2588979
3. Enable USB Debugging
a. Go to settings
b. Go down to developer options
c. Scroll down to USB Debugging and turn it on
d. Connect phone with USB to PC
4. Get into ADB shell
a. Open a command prompt (windows key + R , type "cmd" in the box and press enter is my favorite way)
b. Run:
Code:
adb shell
5. Enable the bypass
a. Disable the DUN requirement
Code:
settings put global tether_dun_required 0
b. Overwrite the DUN APN
Code:
settings put global tether_dun_apn "APNDUN,n.ispsn,,,,,,http://mms.sprintpcs.com,68.28.31.7,80,310,120,,default,dun,mms,supl"
6. Turn off Mobile Data
7. Turn on HotSpot
8. Turn on Mobile Data (The order is important for DNS to work properly)
Alternative 5-8: w/ static DNS
5.b (Does not attempt to replace default active APN at start)
Code:
settings put global tether_dun_apn "APNDUN,n.ispsn,,,,,,,,,310,120,,dun"
This one can also be tried if data does not work on the phone during hotspot:
Code:
settings put global tether_dun_apn "APNDUN,n.ispsn,,,,,,,,,310,120,,default,dun
(the extra default in there should keep the phone on data, but no guarantee)
6. Turn on Hotspot
7. On your devices, you might have to set a custom DNS server:
a. Google DNS: Google DNS Guide
b. OpenDNS: OpenDNS Guide
Sprint's IP's are:
Code:
68.28.31.30
68.28.31.31
c. If you must also specify a static ip, use:
Code:
IP: 192.168.43.XXX , where XXX is between 2 and 254
Gateway: 192.168.43.1
Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0 or /24
DNS 1: 68.28.31.30
DNS 2: 68.28.31.31
To revert:
Code:
settings put global tether_dun_required 1
settings put global tether_dun_apn null
Notes:
Line 5.b:
For
"name,apn,proxy,port,username,password,server,mmsc ,mmsproxy,mmsport,mcc,mnc,auth,type"
Alternative line 5.b (you can run the command again, and yes the first part is required in []):
Code:
[ApnSettingV3] carrier/Name,apn,proxy,port,user,password,Unused/server,mmsc,mmscproxy,mmscport,mcc/part1,mcc/part2,authType,types[],protocol,roamingProtocol,carrierEnabled,bearer,profileId,modemCognitive,maxConns,waitTime,maxConnsTime,mtu,mvnoType,mvnoMatchData
[ApnSettingV3] SprintDUN,n.ispsn,,,,,,http://mms.sprintpcs.com,68.28.31.7,80,310,120,,default|mms|supl|dun,ipv4,ipv4,true,0,,false,0,0,0,,,
For types[], you can use default|dun|mms , separated by the pipe " | " for multiples. I'm not sure what is needed but you can test around. If you get an error about subscription then likely you put in a malformed string. For the mvno (prepaid) probably the last two are gid and 4E or something like that (0,0,0,,gid,4E) ; see your APN info

Has anyone been able to automate this process? I'm trying to use tasker to turn off mobile data which it does, then turn on hotspot which it does not. When I set tasker to turn off hotspot it'll do that just not turn it on. Anyone have any luck w/ that?
