How do I turn off BLn support Cyanogen - Galaxy S II General

I don't like the backlit buttons on cyanogenmod, is there anyway I can have the buttons turned off, I've looked through the cyanogen settings can't find it, also tried BLN control and its says the mod is not installed???

bln is backlight notification. it is for when you recieve a notification and it flashes. it is not the backlight for the buttons in general. cyanogenmod does not support bln. if you want to turn off the light for the buttons, there is an option somewhere in the settings. I think in display, but my galaxy is in for repair right now so I am not totally sure.

Backlight notification and soft key backlight

SO when I had backlight notifications on, my softkey backlight worked for notifcations. But when BLN was on, i had like backround noise during my calls, so i disabled it. Once this is disabled, my soft keys do not light up anymore to notify me when my screen is off. Is there a way around this?
So you disabled backlight notifications and now they don't work? What is the problem? They don't work because you disabled them.

Does the BLN control the extended soft key times as well as the notification trigger? It makes sense but I used the disable BLN option as well since I had the background noise on calls and I still seem to have the 15 second soft key light.
bln = lights.default.so
extended backlight = services.jar
they're exclusive of eachother
So there is no way to have the softkeys light up if BLN is off? That backround noise during calls sucks
The noise is annoying but if you clear your notifications while on the call it will turn the light off and the noise will stop.

[Q] CM7 Nightly #71 - Input buttons not glowing

I have flashed CM7 Nightly #71. Post flash the Input buttons on the phone stopped glowing. Reboot does not help. Even boot time the input buttons are not initialised.
Any solution ?
Edit : Well played with Display setting -- With Screen brightness set to auto mode, input buttons behave normally, but take a while to glow once you unlock the screen. Well I am using brighness widget button in the power widget to change the brightness.
Edit : Well after playing multiple time now it behave normally across all brightness settings in the widget. I shall trying reboot and check if it initialises during boot time and post reboot behavior.
Edit : Input button don't initialise during boot. 25-30% brightness setting when changed to Auto brightness, Input buttons started glowing normally.
Is this a bug or input button are supposed to behave in this fashion ?

That commit messed it all up.
It remains lit for me all the time - but, your comment on the commit explains it all.
I am on #83 with new kernal flashed. Input button issue still remains. It does not come on for some settings while toggling battery settings in power widget notification.
I have installed miui camera from kevin2516. Sometimes camera sound goes after clicking few times. Along with camera sound, all sounds of the phone go off even calls. Only reboot resolves this?
Any solutions please?
The Sound Off issue is a known bug. It was *probably* solved in CM7 Stable versions, not sure though.
Move from #71 to #83 feel voice clarity during the call is reduced inspite of 4 bar full signal indication.
Feedback ---- #83 with new kernel, miui camera error with complete sound off couple if times

No Lock and No Led the only options?

Is No Lock, both versions in the market, the only option for when your phone goes into sleep that will allow you to get the screen back on with the up/down volume or power?
Right now, neither work well with my Inspire. The one No Lock won't auto start upon boot, have to set it each time after a reboot. Then, the volume buttons when you hit them it beeps like you are adjusting the volume.
The other No Lock app doesn't even work.
The thing I really miss about my Nexus One, Trackball wake/unlock and LED alerts.
The No Led app doesn't support any mail app but Gmail...sigh. So no other option apparently I have searched and found for regular Sense mail application LED on the screen alerts with different colors etc..
EDIT: Figured out how to do a custom status bar message so it sees a new email from any app, that is good. But, No Led doesn't work if you are using a No Lock screen app. Although, when No Led is enable, the touch buttons at the bottom are active and you don't need to use another button to wake the phone.
So, good/bad. See how it works.
Thanks

capacitive backlight button timeout?

I have the SuperClean3 V0.5 rom, with KGB Kernel [updated 12/12], and my capacitive buttons stay on for infinity when my screen is on. Very annoying for nighttime usage.
I discovered I can turn off the light by echoing '0' to some file in /sys/class/, but it only switches it off, If I touch the buttons after that, they turn on again.
The KGB Kernel includes "neldar's BLN v9" so anyone have any idea how I can set the timeout to maybe a few seconds? JT's vanilla GB rom has that built into spare parts, and I'd rather not reflash another rom...

My LED notification stopped working

Hi,
I'm wondering if anyone can help me , my LED notifications stopped working all of the sudden , I checked settings and I have them all checked but when i receive emails, text , etc they don't light up.
anyone know what app(s) control them? i might have disabled them by mistake , thanks!
Couple things to check. They only work with the screen off, and dim if in dark places. Did you install any third party apps to control the LED? Is Power save mode on? Does it still light up while charging.
I've never had issues with the LED on the S4 or Note II.

Go into the phone dialer and *#0*#
This will bring you into the testing menu.
Press the 'LED' button.
Press on the screen to switch from Red - Green - Blue while checking the LED on the top left corner.
This ensures that there is no hardware issues with your LED.
Once this is verified. You can go into app settings, for example whatsapp, that actually lets you pick different led colors for notifications.
-- Hit that 'Thank you' button if this was helpful.
