Just updated via SEUS. I noticed that the current baseband is 2.1.67. Any information about this? I wasn't able to find something on google and the search also returned nothing.
If there is no information, how do I dump it (I have not had the time to read into android development yet)?
Edit:
Download the requestet blobfs SEUS files here:

EDIT: On second thought are you using Arc ? This is X10 forum lol
EDIT2: Going through your post you use X10 so can you get a screen shot of About phone ?

Of course I am not.
Attatched a screenshot. Sorry, for the poor quality, but I am not at home and the only camera I have is my gf's Wildfire S.
Yes, that sounds like Gingerbread update. Please post screen shots or at least post what it says in "about phone" in "settings".
Edit: from screen shot this appears to be another 2.1 update.
OK looks like a new firmware. Can you upload the decrypted files or just upload the larger 2 files from Sony Ericsson\Update Service\db\13740270\blob_fs ?
Yeah another 2.1, but haven't heard of BB 67.... weird.... which is your contry and operator??

It is not GB.
Can somebody post a "ls" of system/bin/ from an older stock rom please?
Edit:
Country: Germany
Operator: o2 (but phone is unbranded, so it should not matter)
What firmware version and baseband were you running when you got the update notification? Global Generic?

I got no notification. I was trying to get wifi on CM7 to work and messed up basebands (baseband: unknown).
I tried to recover with SEUS and the first time it failed. Phone powered off after boot-animation. The second time it worked fine.
About changes:
Did not try nothing, cause I am not interested in 2.1 very much.
Full list of files I pulled is attached.
edit:

edit 2:
requested SEUS files: http://pixelstun.de/seus.tar.gz
I wonder if we need this update in preparation for the 2.3.3 Gingerbread update?
Edit: to the OP. You should change the title to "2.1.B.0.1 update released"

Done.
Files I pulled from /system added to first post.
changes i found:
- some system apps got new names , e.g. home launcher
- calendar has changed (no pink colors anymore)
-
can it still be rooted?
New calander is pretty cool. It now shows general events like public holidays, unless I just never noticed them before. There's also some new things in Timescape.
Rooted fine via flashtool.
Ok there is one thread that i want to download the rom , but the download link is not working and the thread is locked.
LINK
?!
are you sure?
i think you can download it from this download link ...
please try it
Wow what a coincidence! I used to have a touch pro, then a tilt2 and now I'm using a Desire Z! We really do love physical keyboards don't we? =D Anyways, there is a portion in that thread that states:
"Bugs
Kernel source
download package"
When I click on "download package", a link comes up that allows me to download something about 200mb. That might just be the rom. Go try it out. =D

Unfortunately it's the same launcher... same widgets... same apps.. even the boot animation is the same SONY ERICSSON and not XPERIA....
The only new thing is the baseband

At one point DoomLord had a means of seeing how old the ROM was... when it was signed.
maybe it is a pre-upgrade to ics or jb that leaves everything more advisable to make the jump
i think that was another error from sony
oh god , i wish i could hate sony ...
2 years passed that i'm waiting for xperia play 2 , but now ... sony playing game with us !!
thanks guys to inform us about new FW and change-log !! so , it's not woth to flash
As I have written earlier in the other thread, we shouldn't get our hopes up. This new fw should only fix timescape, and is a pretty useless upgrade imo... Screw Sony
Any battery life improvements in this update ?

:good:
I have been testing the new baseband on the T-Mobile network in the netherlands (wich is known for bad internet connections).
While it does feel like it loads pages on more places i have been seeing more missing pictures while using this baseband then on the older 36 baseband.
sony update service will no longer be around, it's closeing it's doors very soon, so the only way to update is flashtool or sony pc compaion,
just a little info, hope i havent wasted a tread for this , regards joe
and youtube live is available on playstore for z1 works well, but your device might get a bit warm while in use,
hit the thanks if i helped you thank you, joe

yes you'll find it on the experia blog,
Don't worry, my firmware downloading tool is almost ready. Any Sony's software will be a memory of the past.

PC Companion + Flashtool are enough.
I have good memories with Ex. SEUS, i will miss it a lot.
Nothing can replace sus, it's iconic.

Pccompanion was always better. In S(E)US you could only download the files with a locked bootloader, at least with pccompanion it allows you to download the files then stops at the installation part with an unlocked bootloader. This lets you make the FTF file and flash it anyway. So much easier.....
When I was using SEUS pc companion didn't exist.
SEUS have sentimental worth, you cannot understand that if you didn't use Sony Ericsson in last 6-7 years

If you don't find the files you need there, then just do a search of your C drive for a folder called blob_fs, they will be in there

Ever heard of NaviFirm for Nokia devices? I'm making one for Sony & Sony-Ericsson Android-based devices. Lets you download older versions also, by the way.
Catch my drift?

You may want to have a look here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2608983
It not only checks every firmware for the latest version but has a database of FTF's for downloading
It may be worth speaking to the OP of that thread to see if your projects overlap or if you could help each other

My program doesn't need anything from the users, it gets the official FILE_* from Sony's Update servers. You can create any FTF you want with them. I've got some private complementary programs that search for new CDFs and new releases automatically. The CDA numbers will be stored on my own servers along with Release information (because Sony removes old releases from the update, but the actual files are still on the server, which means any release before I started to build this program are probably gone forever).
Hey,
It was not meant negatively, just a heads up, I just though it may help you or them in furthering your project

Did I sound negative? Sorry, too much House MD hah.
I was just pointing out that our programs use different approaches. I do the updating manually using my own automatic tools.
That guys actually relies on the community to provide ready-to-use FTFs hosted on public sharing sites.
OK, no worries
