Im getting into CMW to flash a ROM, but i cant get the SD to mount. I tried with and without the micro sd card in. Anyone know what i can do?

I used the NVflash root method from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1125714, but when I tried to update CWM from v3.0.2.8 to v3.1.0.1 it can't mount the sdcard. Every solution I've seen says that you need to format the sdcard but I can't format it using Windows because it views it as a media device and I can't format it from CWM because it needs to mount it to format it. Any ideas on how I can get it working? Or should I try flashing roms by another method?
Pic shows all the different things I've tried and the messages that it produced.
take a micro sd card and put it in
go into recovery and go down to advanced
repartition the micro sd card
reboot
put what evere you want to flash in the micro sd card and flash
take your sdcard out and use SD Formatter 3.0 to format it. Now try re-flash the new CWM.

I repartitioned it but now I can't add anything to it. The TF can't find the card and my computer can't read it.
I formatted it, it worked. Now to get it to stop aborting the roms I'm trying to install. Thanks guys
Hi guys, im trying to install a rom or even simply a stock kernel on my tab and for some reason when going into CWM i keep getting this error that sd card cannot be mounted. any ideas???
Did you try to re-format your external sd card ?
yes I did. no luck even after that
get 2GB card... nowadays it's dirt cheap and should work no problem
Or use a USB drive. Everyone keeps forgetting about that option.
I have Miui newst version installed.. but then it got jammed.. i removed battery from phone and restarted.. anrdoid didnt start.. well i was going to make a fresh install with it.. but no.. i had no install package on internal sd anymore... and i cant get it there anyway.. any suggestion.. have cwm version 5.0.2.3 i cant mount ext. sd card in mounts and storages..says only error mounting /sd-ext! and i cant use mount usb storage coz it says E: Unable to write to ums lunfile (No such file or directory)! is there anyway to get install zip to internal sd or install os from external sd?.. or do i throw this phone to a lake..?
Did you try to remove the SD Card from the phone and plug it in your PC directly (with some card reader)?
there is internal and external sd in this phone.... and cwm allows installing only from internal sd.. and i think u cant remove it from phone.. :/.. its internal..
The phone has a partition with 2GB which is used for internal sdcard storage and also have a slot to mount an external sdcard. And cwm recovery use external sd card.
Do you have an external sdcard mounted?

I have a problem.. My micro sd card became not writable after using cwm, now i can only read files from micro sd. I tried unlock with micro sd adapter, but didint helped.. Any ideas how to fix it and make it writable?

I fixed mine with repaired permissions via CWM.
i have the rom and gapps in external sd card i am in recovery mode i want to mount either the sd card or the external sd card in my computer so that i can install the rom... please tell me how to do it.. thanks

You want to mount SD card with recovery ? That feature doesnt work with CWM 5.
