I just received n2a card, but having problems. I am a noobie. One, my computer won't recognize the nook color with n2a card. Somewhat related is that I cannot get the nook color to connect to my wifi at home, while running android. What am I missing here?
Thanks

I failed to mention on my first posting that I have tried the various fixes suggested on the n2a website.

Call the people that sold you the card. That is what their support is for. I doubt anyone here will help you resolve this since these people are making money off the CM7 developers & what we all do here for free

If their support isn't helping, you should return it and get your money back.

Solution?
I have the exact same problem. I was wondering if after all this time you were able to solve this issue. If so, would you share your solution with us? Thanks for your time!

Downgraded working G1 to RC29 and can't access Google servers now

I have a T-Mobile US account with unlimited internet access. Currently I am using an HTC Touch Pro2. However, my buddy gave me his G1 to root and sell for him.
I installed RC29 and rebooted the phone. I put my sim card into the G1 so that I could get to the home screen and then begin the process of rooting the phone (i.e. download a telnet client, etc.). Problem is, I get to the Google login screen and it won't connect to the server. I've waited several hours and tried again, thinking maybe the server was down, but still have had no luck. Does anyone know why this would be? Is there another route that I can take (maybe putting a different version on the phone before rooting)?
I could really use the help of some knowledgeable person here.
Bob C.
NOTE: When I'm at the sign-in screen, I can touch the Menu button and get the APN Settings. I noticed one of them is for T-Mobile US, I just don't know what I need to put in each of the fields (if that even will help).
Also, prior to doing the downgrade, the G1 connected to the Google servers fine.
The actual message that I'm getting is, "There is a problem communicating with the Google servers".
I'm at a loss what to do.
i had some issues down grading to rc 29 i few weeks ago i updated to 1.5 and then used the one click root app. and also i was using my gfs old sidekick and data would go in and out all the time and keep getting odd text messages. so maybe ask for friend for his sim and see if that helps.

Is there another version other than rc29 that I can put on my micro sd card and then put it on the phone? It's only since downgrading to rc29 that I have no ability to get past the Google login screen. My sim card, that I am using in the G1, has an unlimited data plan.
I know that unless the phone has root I cannot flash different rom versions on it, but is there a dreaming.nbh file that I can put on the sd card that may provide me with the ability to connect to the Google servers once I install it on the phone (holding in the camera and power button)?
I would give you the link but i am on my phone at work. Search for jesusfreke's thread on how to activate a phone without a data plan. You can use that method to skip the activation screen.
Almost every time I've rooted a phone I've had issues connecting to Google servers. Keep trying. Its taken me 5 or more tries in the past.

I tried over 10 times and even reinstalled rc29. Nothing seems to help.
I also installed the SDK and when I try to start ADB Shell the device isn't found. I think that's because I'm stuck at the signin screen but don't know for sure.
It signed onto the Google server and internet with no problem until I copied the rc29 dreaming.nbh file to the root of the sd card and started the phone via camera/power. It all updates correctly, just can't connect.
It's weird because I used to own a G1 and did the rc29 install and rooted the phone, partitioned the SD card, etc. I have no idea why I'm having such a problem connecting to the Google server.
Any other suggestions?
If no devices pops for adb, then you need to make sure adb is installed correctly.

sorry for the quick information. and you can flash official roms you might want to try updating to 1.5 here is the link http://www.mediafire.com/?zmdyjz3y2zn idk but rc29 was giving me strange issue the last time i had it on my phone so try to avoid it as much as possible now.lol but of you get data on 1.5 download the one click root app and flash cm stable and put cm update on his phone so the next person who gets wont have to worry too much about this root stuff.
i am more than glad to give all the limited knowledge i have but i dont see any advantage of rooting a phone before you sell it just saying. thanks i hope this helps

Okay, I was able to flash 1.5 but I'm still unable to sign-in to the google servers. When I look at the APN settings there is no proxy set, no port set, no mms proxy or port set. I've been searching the forums for T-Mobile U.S. apn settings but can't find them anywhere. Any idea where I can find these. I figure that may be my problem.
Thanks again!
T-Mobile Technical Support's Comments
I have a question about not being able to get connected to Google servers. I still have been trying and trying to signin to my Google account on the G1 that my buddy gave me to sell. I currently have an HTC T-Mobile Touch Pro2 and have been trying to use my sim card in the G1. I phoned technical support today and they guy said that I can't connect because (even though I have an unlimited internet account) my account is setup for the TP2 internet package and not the Google/Android pacakge.
Does it really make a difference? If so, this could be what's causing my problem.

[Q] noobish questions

Hello, I am considering buying a Htc hd2 from ebay. Will i simply be able to pop in my t-mobile SIM card? I also do not have a data plan and was counting on using the wifi. I also want to install android 2.2 with sense or maybe a cyanogen mod. I am very unfamiliar with android and was hoping for a recommendation. In order to install custom Rom's i understand that it requires accessing the SD card on the phone. Can i simply do this by plugging in my phone with the SD card inside? or do i need a separate cable? Also I used to be into jailbreaking my ipod touch, and I was fearless about it because you could always restore the device if you messed up the jailbreak. Is there an equivalent for the HD2?
Sorry i have so many questions, and thanks in advance for anyone who chooses to answer.
Yeah
Buy a Nokia 5110 man, you will be more happy!!!
+1 for Nokia 5110
Lol no thanks... can anyone answer some of my questions?

first off buy one from craigslist, there about 200 bucks. much cheaper then ebay. Ive bought 8 of them in the past month, never spending over 230. No more Iphones in my family!
I am not sure how tmobile does things, but on att you do not.
Custom Windows Mobile roms Do not require the SD Card, but are required to run android successfully. There are other steps involved in the, its the first sticky in this forum.
Running Android does require an SDcard and cable. Your phone should come with both, if it doesn't, they are ripping you off and look else where.
You can keep the card in the your phone while you do the transfer, there is no reason to take it out.
there are many recovery options available if you break your phone, which is nearly impossible to do.
For android i use darkstones hd2proyo and cm6_leo. both are amazing. I lean towards darkstone, because its faster and has better compatibility with games, however cm6 has many many more features.

You can either take the memory card out of the phone and connect to your PC directly, or just plug the micro USB cable in to your PC, active sync will allow you to access the "Storage Card" on your phone within My Computer.
Android is simple to install - just read a few of the chefs posts - just download and unzip, copy to memory card.
I think you will enjoy.
Thanks for all the help! also is there any downside to dual booting? For example, will texts i receive on android show up on wm and vise versa?
If you receive a text while in WinMo it will not be in your message list when you start Android.
what about the other way around?
Which ever os you happen to be using at the time any notification ie missed call, call log , txt etc will stay on that particular os.

Galaxy Tab 10.1 4G for Veriaon & Kies

Hopefully someone can help with my problem. I have downloaded Kies on my Laptop and have tried numerous times to get a connection with my Tab. It just sits and spins and never recognizes or connects to the Tab. I have done the connection suggestion and reloaded the drivers but still can't connect. Anyone here have any suggestions or settings I have missed.
Wish I could help but I ran into the same issue. I search the web and tried all different solutions and none of them worked. I even called Samsung and they told me that our device was not supported by kies.
Keep me in mind if you get this resolved.
Peace

Will do. Hopefully someone here can offer a definitive answer. I noticed you are in NC. I'm from Oxford/Durham originally. My son is Post Docing at Duke right now. Doesn't go over well in a Tarheel house. LOL
I live in Raleigh. But born and raised in NJ and don't have any school affiliation. Still fun to watch the fanatics.
Back on point. I just tried kies mini but still no recognition of my device.
I had these same problem earlier On! When using Cm9
I was able to sync perfectly after I flashed the new ics 4.0.4 stock Italian update which came out a couple of days ago
Hope it will help you

SD card corrupted unable to save data after format

Hello,
I recently got a Galaxy S7 Edge and was using Google Play Music to download songs onto a rather new 64gb microSD card (Samsung EVO brand). I was downloading several songs and didn't have any problems writing to the card at first. But then I had to leave my WiFi connection for sometime, which paused the downloads. When I returned the downloading attempted to resume, but I got an error saying it was unable to download due to lack of space on my card. I knew this wasn't possible since the card was empty and I hadn't download even close to 64gb of music, or anything else. So I checked my storage, and it said my card was corrupted and needed to be formatted. So I formatted it but still got the same problem, saying I didn't have enough space on the card. I then decided to try downloading music using Spotify to see if it was a bug with GPM. Unfortunately Spotify was giving me the same error, and now I'm stuck with a useless microSD card. Has anyone else had a problem like this? Note the card is recognized and shows me that I have about 60gb available, but I cannot write anything to it. Please help!
Check the microSD card using a PC. If needed, you can also try formatting the microSD on the PC.
If still unrecoverable, you can ask for a replacement under warranty.
Anyway, if you bought the microSD on eBay it's even possible that it's a fake.

Thanks for the tip, I purchased the card from Office Depot, highly doubt it's counterfeit.
Update
So I formatted the card on my PC and still have the same issue... Going to try another card to see if it's an issue with the phone itself or my card just went bad.
I'm having same issue on both sd cards which both worked on another s7 edge but since updating the new software update its not been working and I've read somewhere else it may be to do with this so don't know if Samsung are working on a fix

I cannot speak for software updates as my Galaxy S7 edge is less than a month old and I haven't had to do any updates since I got it. The people at Best Buy were able to swap out a different working SD card for me just to test, and it seemed to work. They said once the card becomes corrupt it's a lost cause, although I'm skeptical about that. Anyway I went ahead and got a new card for the time being, and am going to try to get Samsung to replace the dud.

MAC Address cloned, can't reset

(I've started a thread on zentalk forums on this without reply so I thought I'd ask here)
- I'm an owner of two Z00LDs and I thought I'd do myself a favor by clean installing cm13 on phone [a] then take a backup using TWRP then restore it over to phone , everything was going well until I noticed WiFi issues... After frustrating myself with reflashing back and forth I noticed something on the initial WiFi setup, both phones were using the same mac address! If one phone isn't using WiFi it works but once my girlfriend and I both go online the phones rip each others connectivity.
I was wondering if someone has an idea on how to fix this as I've gone as far as doing a full unbrick reflashing [as shown here https://www.asus.com/zentalk/thread-80274-1-1.html] but phone still manages to retain the MAC address.
I know I'm sane because I've checked the units boxes and I confirmed that both of them were using the Bluetooth and MAC addresses printed on phone box [a]
Any help input will be appreciated!

F*ck, seriously?! I've wasted half a day searching everywhere, trying all sorts of mac address editing guides and videos and they were all false.
Many thanks BTW. I'm gonna try sorting this out...
