Hi I got a new ideos U8800 and tried to install miui by using these instructions to root and get cwm on the device http://android.modaco.com/topic/341011-ultimate-guide-to-the-huawei-u8800/
After i replaced the boot.img i had this problem. Instead of the normal IDEOS logo when turn on it shows a green screen with blue and red shapes over and under the place ideos logo was supposed to be... anyway i installed cwm and miui. It works but i dont seem to have root. Any help? why this happened and how to restore the normal logo screen?
Or does someon know how to fully restore the phone to its previous state? I have the Image folder backed up. Also i have a zip with the original rom. How can i restore it and start all over again?
UPDATE: I installed b160 rom and the green screen was fixed. and b160 was rooted. I will try now to install miui again to see if it will be rooted.

but now its worse than before. Its stuck in Phone Operator Boot loop.
Please help me!
Try to enter CWM, do a wipe data, try to reinstall the Stock ROM and pray, that's everything you can do (I think) :fingers-crossed:
After hours of reading in this forum and testing a lot of possible solutions my x5 still doesn`t work.
Some days ago i had installed the 4.2.2 CM10-Rom. Today i want back to Aurora and i make the mistake to format boot in CWM Recovery 5.5.04
Tried to boot but only a bluescreen on the phone. I tried to install dload with external sd. (gingerbread 528). Update Step 1 & 2 were sucessfull, but on reboot the "firework"-logo loads again and again. CWM Recovery was now away and the original E3 was as Recovery. With the 528 it was possible to do pink screen and i replace original recovery.img with the 5.5.04 recovery.img. This works and i tried to install aurora. Installation is sucessful but on reboot it stands on the first huawei logo.
Then i remember that i had to install a new partition to use 4.2.2. With CWM Recovery i installed the original partition and tried again to install Aurora. Did not work, phone stands on Huawei Logo.
Where is my problem? What should i do to use my phone again?
Many thanks!
Update 1: Phone boots! I`ve installed this rom U8800V100R001C00B517G001 (Beta1.0)(Overseas Normal)(Gingerbread) from pinkscreen without battery. This ist the first rom which boots.
What should i do now to com back to Aurora?
Update 2: Everything is fine! Had to root again. Then install CWM Recovery. Then install Aurora. I`m happy now!
Wow. Sorry I'm late. It looks like you've already solved your problem.
Guys,
Had just bricked my Lenovo TPT. Guess removed the framework.res file by mistake..
Now the device is stuck on Lenovo logo. Recovery menu is working, and I got stock roms downloaded from Lenovo website - but cannot flash them through recovery menu, get errors (something about tmp/sideload/package.zip)
Wiping partition or cache doesn't help either
Wonder if there's any way to flash a new rom using PC - like Odin for Samsung? Do not need any CWM, just a stock ROM would be ok. Odin, or Flashtool for Xperia let the roms be flashed easily, wonder if there's some similar tool for Lenovo.
Thanks!!
