After hours of reading in this forum and testing a lot of possible solutions my x5 still doesn`t work.
Some days ago i had installed the 4.2.2 CM10-Rom. Today i want back to Aurora and i make the mistake to format boot in CWM Recovery 5.5.04
Tried to boot but only a bluescreen on the phone. I tried to install dload with external sd. (gingerbread 528). Update Step 1 & 2 were sucessfull, but on reboot the "firework"-logo loads again and again. CWM Recovery was now away and the original E3 was as Recovery. With the 528 it was possible to do pink screen and i replace original recovery.img with the 5.5.04 recovery.img. This works and i tried to install aurora. Installation is sucessful but on reboot it stands on the first huawei logo.
Then i remember that i had to install a new partition to use 4.2.2. With CWM Recovery i installed the original partition and tried again to install Aurora. Did not work, phone stands on Huawei Logo.
Where is my problem? What should i do to use my phone again?
Many thanks!
Update 1: Phone boots! I`ve installed this rom U8800V100R001C00B517G001 (Beta1.0)(Overseas Normal)(Gingerbread) from pinkscreen without battery. This ist the first rom which boots.
What should i do now to com back to Aurora?
Update 2: Everything is fine! Had to root again. Then install CWM Recovery. Then install Aurora. I`m happy now!
Wow. Sorry I'm late. It looks like you've already solved your problem.

My Iconia has CWM installed. I used it a while ago to install the leaked ICS rom. I tried to install the most recent (official) ICS rom. Now my Iconia will not boot past the Iconia logo. I've loaded CWM and formatted everything and reinstalled the official rom. No go.
I figure at this point I have to use nvflash to install a new recovery image and rom. Could somebody tell me how to do that and what files to get?
Thanks
Before doing anything else have you tried wiping cache and data? Has worked for me when a rom wont boot. Have you still got cwm can you access it? If no cwm you can accomplish this by holding power and volume up then toggle the rotation lock.
Yes, I have access to CWM. I have tried wiping everything. I even successfully installed a new rom. The device still will not boot past the Acer logo.
I booted wit hte method you described. Two messages appeared in quick succession, "Clearing data..." and "Clearing cache". After the cache message, the device just sits there doing nothing at all.
Previously I had the data partition encrypted. Could that be causing trouble?
did you install an ICS bootloader?
I'm not sure. That is why I created this thread. I'm looking to get the recovery and OS image necessary to get this device working again.
As the previous poster noted, have you switched to the ICS bootloader? When I flashed my A500 with an ICS rom it too got stuck in a bootloop. I then discovered that I actually had to flash the ICS bootloader berfore installing the new rom.

You can't install official ROM with CWM. You need Acer recovery! This issue has been answered several times. Use search button!!!
Hi,
I ve done dozens of flashing with my Sony and Samsung phones with no problem. Today i decided to flash something fresh on my acer a500 tab. I did my first mistake Please help cause im reading threads for 3 hours now and i dont know how to proceed.
Heres the story:
I was on stock ics 4.0.3 rooted. I used successfully the AfterOTA tool and flashed Bootloader ics v3.14.8 + Recovery Ra v3.1.7 That gave me the Skrilacs Recovery V8.
Then i did all the usual wipes and flashed successfully RE-FLEX XX 40.4 Rom. After the first boot i noticed that my internal storage wasnt empty. It gave me only 14gb free. There were still stuff in like photos, some music and apps remainings. I desided to wipe again and reinstall the rom. I did it a couple of times and i got the same result (internal storage was still with the same stuff).
On my last try to install the rom again it stucked on rom booting screen (bootloop). I can still get into CWM but cant find a solution.
Thanks in advance for any help..
Update: just managed to get it boot back on stock. My heart is back to its place now.
Thanks
Hey Guys,
i have a big problem with my new S4 (i9505).
Ive rooted the Stockrom with Odin and then i flashed the Recovery, thats works well.
After this step ive tried to flash CM10.1.
The first boot works well, ive setup my phone, take a reboot and then i have a bootloop.
Ive go to the Recovery and i see that /data is destroyed.
Ive formating /data, flashed CM10.1 again, first boot works, second boot, /data is destroyed.
Then i flashed the prerooted XXUBF8-Firmware, flash the recovery, all works well. Then i flashed a alternative Kernel, my /data will be destroyed again. I have to format it, and to reflash the stock firmware.
My last try was to flash the minit-Framework. After this flash, i cant boot in my system, becaus my /data was destroyed.
I dont thought that my device is destroyed, because the Stock prerooted F8-Firmware (with custom recovery) works 2 weeks long without any problems (ive rebootet many times in the 2 weeks).
What i doing wrong?
And sorry for my bad english
Best regards
Just to follow you : what do you mean by "destroyed" ? Formatted partition ?
If so, try to do the following : flash stock ROM, then the recovery (I personally use Philz Touch based on CWM), do a factory wipe and then install the rom you want.
Hey,
thanks for answer.
When i have a bootloop and go to the recovery and want reflash a rom, the installer say: cannot mount /data, unknow partition. and then the setup breaks up.
After a format of the /data-Partition via Recovery, i can reflash the rom, and boot onetime.
Ive go "your way" and i have the some problem. After one Reboot my /data is destroyed.
Mmmm...in the Philz Touch recovery (based on ClockWorkMod but with a lot of improvements), there is an option called "wipe data for new rom install" or something similar... give it a try !
I will try it
Ive tried it with CWM / TWRP and have the same error.
But i will try it ) *flash*
Till later

Good luck ! As you can normally flash stock rom, you don't seem to have hardware issues so don't worry
omg Oo
I dont believ it -.-
All the trouble are only fail from CWM and TWRP??
Now with Philz it works perfectly.
Ive installed Bobcat, reboot, flashed minit, reboot, flash another Kernel, reboot .. and it works Oo
Great )
Thanks
I have an Acer A500, it has the v9 bootloader installed. I also have TWRP 2.6.3 installed as the secondary ROM, the recovery is also completely broken, fastboot and zip will not install on it (TWRP 2.6 is to big), but recovery using 2.4.4.0 does boot. That fine since with secondary and recovery installed I can use TWRP from either, which works great, but if I install a ROM it only boots once, then poof, its as if there is no kernel it will not boot. To boot a new ROM I have to format everything except the external SD (which I have removed) then install the ROM reboot to TWRP install it again, then reboot at which time it will boot about 1 is 3 times, if it fails try again and repeat.
Now the ACER is basically useless now as I can not boot safely to anything other than TWRP, I've tried 2 4.0.3 ROMs but I can not get the Installers to run, I've tried 2 10.1 ROMS boot both booted only once and also a 4.3 ROM (build 5 and 6) boot again both booted only once. I'm out of ideas I'd flash almost anything at this point to reset, but then there is that Windows 8.1 issue in which I can not get ACER driver to work (Duh!), and I do not think the issue is going to be fixed, I can only come up with 2 options 1 the internal storage is going bad, or the entire setup is just toast, since it can work, it just does not do so more than once.
Currently I have 10.2 (build6) running, so long as I do not need to reboot, so for now it is charging.
Any suggestions,
ERIC

I have same problem with TWRP. Try to replace TWRP with TouchRecovery
Hi,
Guys I need your help on this one.
I sold my A500 almost a year ago to a friend of mine. At that time I flashed it with a HC ROM and Recovery 1.3.4.
Last week the new owner of the tabled asked me for help updating the ROM to JB. Since now I use a Samsung Galaxy I completely forgot on the correct procedures to update the Acer A500. I simply downloaded a 4.2.2 Rom and tried to flash it on recovery mode.
After that I'm stuck with an endless loop. The tabled boots, pass the Acer logo, shows the ROM logo screen and than boot again.
Since I can still acess the recovery screen (it still shows 1.3.4 recovery) I tried flashing other ROMs with no sucess. Every room that uses the Aurora installer freezes as soons as Aurora Installer message shows on the screen. So I wasn`t able to flash a new Rom or a new Recovery (since all the Roms and recovery that I have found uses the Autora installer).
I also tried to install an older room (Tried the Lightspeed 2.1 ROM) and although I was able to flash it and reboot from recovery, it stops on the boot screen after that (I waited for 4 hours).
Can you guys help me with this one? Also, do you guys know if I can install a new Recovery using Odin?
Thanks
Anyone?
Maybe you should try flashing stock rom. Download 》rename it to update.zip》install from sd card or use EUU roms.
