Been looking and can't seem to find the technical specs for the Incredible.
I found that we can have up to a 16gb card(I'm only wanting about half that at most), but not what the max speed supported is. Not wanting to get top of the line, but don't want to get cheap crap either when possibly a few more dollars I could have gotten a better SD card.
Specs for the Incredible are identical to the Desire except for an 8MP camera I believe.
...and I've never heard of a phone that limited to 16GB SD.
XDA has a Verizon Droid Incredible forum if you'd like to ask there and receive first-hand advice as to which SD is good enough. Keep in mind there is no GSM Incredible. That stuff was canceled.

So has anyone who has replaced their microsd slot not have any issues? If you did replace yours, then its been almost a month and by now you would probably know if there is an issue or not.
And if so what card did you replace it with.
Just so u know it'll be rare to find anyone with this phone since the only ones who got a hold of it had to have access to Microsoft stores which are rare. And even if u had access to ms stores, u were lucky if you got one since they were very limited.
And say they got one, the odds that they knew about xda developers is low. Very low. I mean xda is huge, but there arent a lot of users compared to the shear number of devices actually sold by a company.

So,
did anyone who received their DVP tried to change the SD-card? Has anyone found a (confirmed) (un)official list of cards that are compatible or seem to work perfect?
I'd like to have it here before I order my DVP
Thanks!
Someone stated a 8GB model was successfully swapped with a Class 2 32 GB Sandisk card
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=9893600&postcount=26
Yeah, I've read that one, so guess it will work, but since Microsoft announced that not just any high class would work, I had hoped some users would have started testing to see which would be best... And I've also read that it's not overal throughput that is important, but random read/writes...
Anyone else notice this? Kind of strange... What is the new version?
The new version was just announced with a $50 price drop. I think the only difference is the SD card. The new one has a 2GB versus the 16GB of the original.
LOL, Yep, as of yesterday mine shows the same thing.
Kinda silly. Getting a 2gb card now would suck. 16gb cards are expensive to buy seperately. They should call our "old" ones the "better" version. Lol.

Yes it is.
Now under My Verizon it is listed... Motorola DROID X*
Was really looking into buying one of these but had a question regarding the full size SD slot. Is it SDHC or SDXC? Because Engadget says it's SDXC but Toshiba & other places just say SD. Asking because if SDXC I could just grab the 8GB version & buy a 64GB SDXC card & still come out cheaper than buying the 16 or 32GB models & when they come down in price maybe go up to a 128GB card.

I am not sure but i can tell you this . i bought the 16gb and after syncing with google and all of it's picasa , music , etc etc , there is no need for a 16gb . here is a link for a great deal though . i got my thrive in one day after purchase from digital etc . only 405 for the 16gb . enter code thrive405 and you got it . great company . i called and talked to the guy and android police verified it to be a good company and i personally bought my thrive from them ! Awesome and really cheap deal !

I wouls still buy the 16GB version due to the inability to move apps to the SD on tablets, but as for cards, it has been verified that you can use all the way up to 128GB. Hope that answers you question.

Oh A2SD doesn't work? I thought that was a function built into the Android OS. So is that something inherent to the Honeycomb OS or just this tablet? Oh well 8GB should be more than enough. How much is usable after the OS? I mean I have like 50 apps installed on my Evo 3D & at one point had almost 70 on my Evo 4G and that was without A2SD.

When Honeycomb was created, they changed the mount points of the external memory. That is why A2SD does not work. The developers could fix this, but my guess they will wait until Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) comes out. This will unify the OSs on phones and tablets meaning ony one port to make it work on both.
If you have that many apps loaded on your phones and have no issue, you should be fine with the tablet, but there are specials going on that offer the 16GB for $409.00. Not much more then the 8GB version. Have fun.
Well I finally took the plunge and got a Thrive! Couldn't be happier. Bought a 16GB version at Best Buy for $479.99 then 2 days later they were advertising it for $429.99. So I called them up and they said all I had to do was bring in reciept to get the difference because it was within 14 days. So I got my $50 back & used it to buy the Multi Dock! This thing rocks! Smooth as butter, no lags anywhere. And with the my 32GB Class 10 I have plenty of room. Maybe when the 64GB or 128GB comes down in price I'll hop on one of them. But I couldn't be happier. Be even better when the dev community starts jumping off.

Congratz. Glad to hear you finally got one and 16GB no less.
64gb sdxc works great for me in the Thrive.

too bad my touch pro 2 doesn't support up to this high, but then again I have my 16gb about half filled anyways, thought you guys might want in on this since it isn't a bad price
Pretty good deal, one of the reasons I like to buy devices with microSD slots, look how cheap you can add a bunch of space to it. Plus its class 10 so it should be pretty fast as well. Format it to FAT32 and pretty much any device that takes SDHC cards will work with it.
Looks like the prices are coming down. It's even a dollar cheaper here with free shipping too: http://www.adorama.com/IDSIUMS64GB....ing Site&utm_campaign=Other&utm_source=pgrabl
Only £39 in the UK http://www.amazon.co.uk
I didn't *need* one but picked one up anyway, just in case. Too good of a deal to pass up. Thx!

Yeah I've been waiting for them to come down to this price for awhile. Probably going to pick one up now especially if formatting it to FAT32 will get it into my phone without issue. Although I hear the Bionic will just take them as is.
The price went back up to $42
Sorry if wrong place, couldn't see sub forum. Check this phone out guys the specs seem to good for the price. Wow!
Wounder if we can buy in UK?
http://oneplus.net/one#overview
Yup this phone is certainly one to keep an eye on, early reviews are positive! Amazed it's cheaper than the Nexus 5 (£229 for 16GB / £269 for 64GB) and has better specs too.
The runtime schould be better than the Nexus 5 runtime.
Seeing as Oneplus is created by ex Oppo employee and the 32gb Oppo Find 5 I used to own only had a 2gb partition for app storage, even the new Find 7 only has a 3gb partition, I will get the 64gb version only if the full 64gb is available for apps storage.
These small partitions for app storage are totally useless in that a lot of apps nowadays can be 1gb+ in size so a small 2 or 3gb partition will be filled up pretty quickly. As an example on my Galaxy Note 3 my total apps have taken up 3.7gb.
Otherwise, this phone sounds like near perfect device for me.
Why don't you just create a bigger Partition for Apps? That should be possible with the OnePlus One.
Can't wait ,i'm going to get get 64GB version

Certainly interesting! I wouldn't call it a flagship killer, though.
For me a device will never be the ultimate flagship if it lack a MicroSD slot. Especially if the phone is 16GB. Maybe the US has worldwide free 100Mbps WiFi for cloud and streaming, but the rest of us don't.
I'm ready to give them my money

Yep, can't wait for this phone to be available. Seems to address all the things I was disappointed with in the new HTC One (M8) - primarily camera.

The only way in which it is a flagship killer is the unsustainably low price. Hence their ridiculous invite system.
You can either play the game with rabid forum fanboys in the hope of MAYBE being permitted to purchase this device, OR you can just to and buy the nearly identical Oppo Find 7a and have the device arrive within days.
If they'd priced it $100 higher they would've been able to have a sane ordering system. With their current business plan, the device is going to be vaporware for all but a small handful of users.

Maybe true, but if we all start to share invitations over here as well (as we already do), at least we can get one. Also, I do think there will be a point where they'll open up the store for everyone, so doing that for the lower price is fine with me.

I'm not really sure what this means.
I don't think I could fill up 60GB of usable if I tried. Although, my video/music collection is in the terabyte range. I don't need all of my music (not even a quarter of it), and I think I've watched an .mkv on my phone once.
I've been happy with 16GB (12.6GB usable). All of my music (via Subsonic, or Google Music all access)can be cached whatever I want on WiFi. I don't come close to hitting my 2.5GB limit of LTE on Net 10 or 3GB on Simple Mobile. My internet connection is also metered at home (300GB) and I've never been close to hitting that.
I didn't even have a microSD in my S4, and that was my last device with the option.

Very good point, I didn't know that about the Oppo phones. I'll definitely be looking out for that before I buy (assuming I'm lucky enough to get invited) since I have 5GB of apps installed on my N5.

With the latest KitKat changes the usefulness of the MicroSD slot is quite limited and according to both Google and Koush it is likely to be more of a second class citizen as time goes on. And the One has 64GB models for dirt cheap so I don't see this as much of an issue. There is no way I need more than 64GB.
No SD slot = sticking with my S5 and Note 3.

Do you really need a SD in a 64GB phone?
64gb internal is great especially since it'll be running at maximum performance. S5 has only a 16gb option and formatted it's 12 then TouchWiz brings it down to around 8gb. What SD would you put in there? 64gig would be the best since 128gb is expensive.
